I just finished a two day conference at the Lantana in which I was one of the organizers. We have had events here before but will definitely recommend that our organization shop around next time. The venue is still nice with lots of versatile clean meeting space. There were issues, however. The first was food choices for the buffet. Their new policy of requiring 3 entrees is just a way of increasing prices sneakily. I would rather have chosen more veggies in addition to two entrees which would have been healthier. A bigger problem, however, was the interesting way they determined head count overrun at two of our lunch buffets. They decided if someone asked to have a newly vacated seat re-set it should count as a new meal even though enough seats to fill the requests throughout the remaining tables went unused. On the second buffet, 4 of our committee members decided to eat at the registration table outside the ballroom and asked for silverware and napkins - which resulted in adding 4 people to the count - even though there were many seats unfilled. I think what bothered me most was their intractability. It was their way or the highway. If they are willing to let a customer walk out the door with bad feelings for $500 on a $28,000 conference, so be it. If you decide to choose the Lantana, or have already made plans, it will probably be a lovely event for your guests, just watch your back and your wallet and document everything, even though that didnt help us one bit.
7/27/13 I had my wedding at the Lantana (cailey, and Normandy Room) the service was awesome nothing to complain about. all my guess love the service. Esther was my wedding coordinator, she is the best of the best, she will go out her ways to make you beyond satisfy. (I love you so much Esther) thank you for being so kind, patient and you always make us feel like home. I will always stop by to see you, cant wait to see my wedding picture on your office wall. the place is very very unique. If I couldve put zero stars I wouldve. There was kids performing and it went a litte over so the man came ON STAGE and told everyone to go home and that the show was over! It was so disrespectful and there were children getting ready to perform the last scene! They were toddlers and they were so excited! It was disgusting the way this man came over the microphone and kicked everyone out!!! He didnt speak with respect and even the bartenders were rude.
Great place to hold an event. There are 4 available function rooms, staff is accommodating and very helpful. Food was average (chicken plate) but then again, for the price it is very decent for large events when you are on a tighter budget. Overall, elegant and spacious! Great for Quinceañeras and weddings.

I had my wedding at The Lantana on 5-5-12. Everyone was amazing! They did everything I asked and helped me throughout the whole process! Esther did an amazing job and was super nice! I would highly recommend this place for any functions! LOVED IT!
Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Participated in the Best Taste of Randolph and they helped us with everything we asked for. From setting up the table correctly to getting additional chairs.
We hold a monthly conference here, and have for the past couple years. The service has always been excellent. Very accommodating to our needs. Great staff who take care of us very well.
