The Varsity Theater is the classiest and most original theater in Davis. One finds there the best film choices, the tastiest popcorn, the most comfortable seating, and the highest quality projection equipment. Im always pleased to keep more of my entertainment dollars here in Davis so the Varsity can focus on supporting local businesses, hiring Davisites and, on occasion, showing local films. My wife and I try to see everything showing at the Varsity, and we are almost never disappointed.

Really fond of this place. Has different selection of movies than the other theaters in Davis (think indie, not blockbusters). Parking, as in all of Davis, is a problem. But, usually manageable.

Great independent movie theater. They have two theaters and it is noticible they take care of their projector better then the local Regal theaters. Great staff and very comfortable environment.

The theater shows "good" movies. The other theaters in town show the latest Hollywood movies, but Davis Varsity shows the critically acclaimed movies.

Great retro theater to see indie flicks that are not shown at mainstream theaters. The only negative are the seats are well past their prime.
