Hands down with out a doubt the best casino in Michigan. I have played and stayed at all of them in Michigan and I am a frequent gambler. Beats all the ones in the D! The staff is extremely friendly and will go out of there way to help you. Simple as asking where is this to a security guard. He or she doesnt point they walked us over exactly where we asked for and made sure everything was perfect... Drinks... cheap, cheap, cheap and damm good also. Bartenders are top notch and are extremely friendly. Waitresses are very polite and will get you anything you need with the push of a button on the slot machine. Other casinos try this but fail. Firekeeper succeeds at every level. Hotel!!!! WOW!!! Rooms so nice and clean great showers and huge rooms. We liked it so much we decided to stay another night. Staff at the front desk was amazing. We arrived late Friday night and had all of our bags and everything taking care of and our room keys waiting. Was so kind enough to even run down where everything was located at and show us to the elevators. Came back down and hit the casino. Other people have commented saying that this is a smokers haven... So so so wrong. This is the most ventilated casino I have ever been too. So nice with the ventilation in the floors awesome concept. By far the nicest Staff I have ever seen. I work in the customer service business and they blew all my expectations out of the water. They have set the bar extremely high for other michigan casinos. Definitely worth my 2+ hour drive. Will do it again and again. Food is great. Really like 24/7 for the late night eats. Crazy good. This is a top notch casino in my book definitely the closest thing to Vegas. Thank you to all the staff who made our trip to your establishment like a Disney experience. Keep up the great work... Everyone else. You will enjoy this place with out a doubt.

I go to Firekeepers at least once a week. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun without being overwhelming. The customer service is on par with Vegas casinos and I’ve never been disappointed in the service I’ve received. Many people will review the casino and give it fewer stars because of their gambling experience there, but, it is just that, a gamble. Aside from the sheer luck of winning or losing money while gambling, you really can’t beat Firekeepers. The drinks are the most reasonably priced drinks I’ve had at any Michigan/Illinois/Indiana casino and there are several bars at which you can get a drink, each offering a different atmosphere. The bartenders are great and even on their busiest days do their best to remember names and drink orders even though they have served hundreds of customers that day. The executive hosts are, for the most part, great. My host makes a point to come visit me while playing and stops to chat if he sees me walking around. My friend’s host, however, has never bothered to come find her and introduce herself to my friend, leaving us each with very different opinions on the hosts at Firekeepers. Overall my luck has been decent at Firekeepers. I’ve personally won a few jackpots, had several nights of big, non-jackpot wins, and I’ve known people who have won the monthly grand prize giveaways. That doesn’t mean I don’t have a “bad night” at Firekeepers every now and then but the overall positive experience keeps us coming back regardless of those few nights where we might lose. PROS: Great, friendly staff Clean Fun atmosphere Inexpensive drinks Wide variety of games (slots and tables) Wide range of betting amounts ( 1 cent to $100) Great restaurants Great service CONS: Can be crowded on concert nights Can be crowded on giveaway nights

Firekeepers is the best casino in southwest/central Michigan. Driving from the Lansing area, I prefer it to any other casinos within a 1-2 hour drive. While FKs does allow smoking like other casinos, this place actually has decent air ventilation unlike Soaring Eagle where you can barely even breathe when you walk in. Free, self-serve soft drinks/coffee/water. I only play craps, so thats the main experience Ill focus on. Tables are nice, and theres always been a wonderful atmosphere every time I go. I believe theres 3 tables in all, with table minimums usually at $5-10 depending on the time of day. Even if people smoked at the table, the air ventilation in the building did a decent job of mitigating second-hand smoke. All the workers at the table were extremely kind and knowledgeable. On the downside, the odds werent the greatest though. Hardway odds are poor and rigged even further in the Houses favor (7-1 and 9-1 instead of 8-1 and 10-1, respectively). The Field bet is poor (only double P/O for 2 & 12 instead of triple P/O, increasing the house edge from 2.5% -> ~5%). The House also charges the vig up-front for lay and place bets instead of the more reasonable approach of charging the vig upon winning. I suppose FKs guesses they can get away with these small things given the less attractive competition out there like Gun Lake and Soaring Eagle which just reek of cigarette smoke. Nonetheless, still overall a very nice and clean place and the staff is extremely friendly. Its pretty much your perfect small-town, rural casino.

My wife and I go there on occasion, since it is an hour away from our home. We dont play the tables only the slots and video games. I have heard dont go on a weekend because they dont payout as often, rather a week day like Wednesday. Not sure if its true but Ive never won anything big on a weekend. Regarding drinks the Mix drinks are a little much for me 8.50 but the bud light is 3.50, not too bad. The Casino is some what modern looking inside with changing lights every few minutes, kinda cool. MY ONLY BEEF would be the security staff seemed rude. I bought a $3.50 cookie from there cafe since my blood sugar was low from the hours of gambling and not winning. While nibbling at my cookie I was trying to exchange pleasantries with the security guard up front (bald headed guy, pants super tight acted like Chuck Norris) you know the type and he wasnt having any of it. I bet if I were a young women he would have. Anyway he proceeded to explain that I couldnt take food or drink into the gambling area even though the night before there were people chowing down on Nachos and eating sandwiches from the deli on the casino floor. Management take note Being treated that way wont make me come back or intice any of my friends to go there. The only reason we go is because it close. We would rather drive 4hrs to Turtle Creek MUCH BETTER place and much more pleasant and they pay out! I agree with the other reviewer "Good Luck and hope you survive with the other casino competition coming to your area".

and as how I am a trucker and stop at casinos all over America, I know what I m talking about. Now do not get me wrong, the place is freshly built and is well designed and accessorized; however there were in my case issues. First get a flashlight out if you re a driver arriving after dusk cause there is no light (as yet) in their truck parking lot. I forgot my CDL (even though I had other photo I.D.) and they would not give me a "Red Hot Rewards" club card without it. Which at the time was fine with me because they offer NO promotions to new players be they Truckers or not; but get this.. I had to trade my Canadian dollars for US and they said I couldn t do it with out a bonus card!!??? I still don t get that one.. Also they did not know if there was a fee, according to the rate (I just looked it up) there was a $6.30 on $100. (oh and call me petty, for 100 canadian they gave me $86.99 and they would not spot me one penny, I had no change) In Michigan you do not get to drink free when gaming so if you want a beer it is $4. Also their menu prices looked pretty high, but I did not eat there. Sorry to rant, if you are hell bent on trying this place keep your expectations low; but better still, go to the Four Winds on the IN/MI border or pretty much anywhere else. You can t do worse.
