This is our favourite theater. Weve seen eight movies here in eight weeks and have only positive things to say about Picture Show Bloomingdale. They have done wonders inside, most notably being the reclining seats. These leather seats are HUGE and arent just office chairs . . . these are mechanical loungers that almost recline to the point of laying down. They are AMAZING. Concessions? Man, let me tell you . . . youd be hard pressed to find a better deal on popcorn and soda anywhere else. Its half the price of the AMC theater we had been going to the few weeks before going here. Quality is just as good, if not better. Dollar hot dogs round out an affordable, tasty concession experience. Tickets before 6 pm are dirt cheap, and after 6 pm they only raise by 75 cents. You simply cannot find a theater that gives you as much bang for the buck as Picture Show Bloomingdale.

This place is great! Theyre keeping a neighborhood staple alive. The theater used to be the popular Cineplex Odion which was where all the kids and teens loved to go to watch their favorite movies until the bigger theaters were built and put it out of business. Picture show came in with the right idea and revived the place renovating it and offering slightly older movies still in the box office, or on their way out to be formatted to DVD, and charges a fraction of the price as the regular theaters. Sure, they make up for it with what they charge for snacks and concessions, but they have combo deals, you can get hot dogs for $1 and they have all the other snacks you could want at a movie theater. I hope this place sticks around for years to come.

We love this theater. Its easy to walk from lobby to any of the theaters. The chairs are very comfortable. The prices for movies and food are great. Weve eaten there, and even the hot dogs are good. The staff is very nice. The only reason Im giving it only 4 instead of 5 stars is because the ticket booths need revamping. On several occasions when weve only had,a,few minutes or less till showtime, weve nearly missed our movie as planned on getting in, getting me settled in our seats (Im handicapped) and then my friend go back and get our food or snacks and drink. There may be only one or two cashiers, and were stuck behind people getting a lot of snacks, or undecided. I think there should be at least one cashier station for tickets only.

This has been the best dollar theater experience I have ever had. Ive been going to this theater ever since they made it a dollar theater. I have had nothing but great service and good prices. Anyone who complains about this should just go to Marcus and pay full price. You dont go to a Honda dealership looking for a Mazerati, now do you? The popcorn is always tasty - the hot dogs always fresh - the staff always so friendly. Im in my early 20s and this saves me money and is a great experience. I would highly suggest going to this theater if you are a logical human being and know to expect it isnt an AMC or a Marcus but instead a bargain theater with great service at that! Jeff Out!

I came to know about this theatre a few months back but hesitated to go since i thought it would be in a remote place and thought that its not suitable for families. After visiting i understood what a fool am i. One of the best place for families in the land of chicago. Am a AMC fan but no longer, am a Picture show fan going forward. Not because it is cheap, cos of its kind employees and clean facility. If you dont believe my words, just give a visit. (Note: I travelled 28 miles just to have a experience, now i have no worries travelling such a long distance) One more thing - popcorn here was awesome and its one of the best tasting popcorn

Its air conditioned with comfortable seats and cheap tickets, which doesnt make up for the poor picture image of the Star Wars Force Awakens presentation. Theater 6 has a patch and a stain in the center 9th of the old fabric screen material. The fabric isnt flat, so the digital image wavers during panning shots. The digital image is not nearly as sharp as the film versions were and is projected at a lower contrast and brightness than an old tube type monitor. If this were my first experience with digital cinema, I would be so soured by it that Id never go to one again. I certainly wont watch another movie if its in theater 6.

For the price, I can deal with some of the issues, like slightly out of focus picture and not always the cleanest. Price of admission is very low, even lower than other 2nd run theaters from what I can see. There are also reclining leather seats with plenty of room. Even though I referenced it not being the cleanest, its not filthy by any means. I think concessions are the same price as most theaters. Its very rarely overly crowded. Definitely a theatre Id recommend based on the few times Ive been there.

I love this theatre, Ive been coming here since I was little and if it ever goes out of business I will kill myself. It has gone through some tough times. I think it converted into an Indian movie theatre at one point. They just showed Bollywood movies. Then it switched back to regular movies. Theyre all movies that are in their last run, and theyre very cheap. Its great to catch a movie here if its no longer playing in other theaters. The screens are awesome and the seating is also great.

I was really surprised by this theater. I thought, "Uh oh, at $1.75 per ticket, theres going to be plenty of riff-raff in the audience!" but it was a good quiet crowd. We were first in the theater, then it filled up to at least 95% capacity. Movie ticket only $1.75! Hotdog just $1. They also do birthday parties. Near a mall, restaurants, shopping, etc, so lots of other things to do before or after the show. Yea, well be going back here. ;)

I always drove past this thinking AMC was worth going to and this would be a disappointment. How wrong could I have been, its not only the best value for money, the service is great and the popcorn is well clean popcorn. The facility is clean and adequate. Ofcourse its not the imax experience but if you have been to AMC30 and been directed to the side screens then you wont notice a difference. At 1.75 what do you really have to lose?

inexpensive theater with leather recliner seats, but some of the movie-goers are trashing the place already, using the cup receptacles as trash cans. i try to place my cup in the seat cup receptacles, but several are unusable due to wet trash and crumbs. then the employees sweep the floors, but dont clean the trash from the cup receptacles. this is what happens if you give poor people luxury. they trash the place.

The chairs are so comfy! I always get fidgety in other movie theaters, but I was comfortable the whole movie. I would pay for a ticket just to be able to sit in the chair and be able to relax for a couple of hours. Who cares what the movie is? The theatre is a little dirty though, but not as dirty as any other. I guess with the luxury of the chairs you just expect it to be cleaner.
