We recently Visited the Gulf Coast Exploreum during the guitar exhibit. Save your money and go to a guitar center. The exhibit had nothing one couldnt find at any big box music store across the country. We also did the dinosaur "IMAX" movie. While the movie was interesting and informative i cant think of anything that would make it "IMAX". It was NOT IMAX format. We thought something was wrong with the projector until we realized. This was the second bad visit weve had at the exploreum.(first being the lame chocolate exhibit) I dont think well be coming back for a third helping of disappointment.

Im currently a marketing intern here and I just love the environment! This center is fully dedicated to providing people of all ages with a fun and educational science experience. They have created more offers to make the experience cost as low as possible, such as the membership program which gives you access to the exploreum year-round for an annual fee. There will be 3 new IMAX films featured this year in the dome. Definitely one of the highlights of Mobile. You wont regret visit(s) here!

Ive been taking my boys to the Exploreum since they were babies. We love it and go as often as we can. The classes offered by the Exploreum staff are outstanding, very high quality hands on education. TIP: If you plan on going more than once or twice in a years time a membership is definitely worth it, plus it gets you into other great science centers and museums for FREE!!!

Terrible! I guess everything is relative, but compared to discovery place this place is way behind. We feel asleep in the IMAX and left 3/4 through because it was soo boring. The hands on was the only decent part , but even that was small. Megladon? I expected to see sharks, not a metal skeleton... Dont waste $67. For 2 adults and 2 kids.

Romantic, Historical, and Quality Movies! Good people, good theater. Well worth the time and money to see a show. Ive seen a variety of different things at this Theater. I love this venue. Its beautiful inside. A very interesting building. Beautiful inside. I enjoyed going there.

My Daughter loves it here. We hang out a lot in the Scratch room that has a giant, very clean, Ball pit surrounding a ship with hundreds of sea toys to play with. The exhibits are always intriguing and the IMAX is a plus.

The imax dome screen was a nice experience except for the bugs you could see projected from the lamp. Both of the permanate exhibits are in poor repair with half of the hands on displays not working. I do not recommend.

Nice childrens museum. Interesting hands-on experiments for kids. The DEA and drugs exhibit that was there at the time was not age appropriate for most of their target age group.
