Great selection, however, Ive been rejected entry into this bar multiple times because of my shoes. Sometimes you can get in, and sometimes you dont, depends how the bouncer is feeling. Ive also been asked to turn my Brewers jersey inside out while wearing it. I can tell you theyve lost out hundreds of dollars because of the amount of times we (our large groups) went to different bars because people in the group didnt have the right shoes on. When you do get in, its a blast. However, if you enjoy expensive whiskey, buy a bottle at home and drink it there--it isnt any cheaper here.

I recently attended "Latin night" at this bar. What a disappointment. The DJ is supposed to start at 9pm but started actually after 10:30. The first 45 minutes he played only American music and when he finally decided to play some latin music, it was the Techno version of the songs. The guy in charge of latin night was busy with his personal guests All girls of course. Do not call it Latin night if that is the choice of music and start at the time is supposed to. It is a weekday and many people cannot stay until 2 am.

Whiskey Bar is one of my favorite nightclubs in MKE. The dancing, the company, the atmosphere! The drinks are on the higher end, however, the do not make them weak...ever. There is a dress code, no gym shoes, baseball hats, etc. Basically, dont plan coming here after a Bucks game in all your sports/fan swag. The typical crowd peak is around midnight on Saturday. Valet parking available and the best part...no cover!

For the most part I am a fan of Whiskey Bar. Best crowd on Cathedral square. Mixed drinks are on the high side for Milwaukee (~$9). The only real negative about the places is the music. Everytime I am there they play the music too loud. To the point where you need to scream to talk to the person next to you. Music should serve as good background noise, but it is basically at a club or concert level.

Great Bar! Having to been to nearly every bar on Water and third street, this bar is a great change of pace! think of it as a much classier, more expensive Buckheads. Great live music, classy atmosphere, and good drinks...this place has been packed each time I visit. Definitely a far cry from the college bars and their typical clientele.

Knowledgable staff on Whiskeys and Bourbons. Nice atmosphere. Came here after work and found cocktail hour reasonable and the place had a nice crowd. Came back on a weekend and it had a cool vibe. Garage doors open and the dance floor filled up. Great looking and dressed people. Love the dress code

Stopped in early on a Friday, my wife and I were the only people there. The bartender said the place fills up later in the night when they open the dance floor. The whiskey selection is large and diverse enough, its also not outrageously priced, $10 to $15 on most 2oz glasses of whiskey.

This place is probably the most over rated place in town. The bouncer are actually brainless and surely know how to ruin people nights by not letting one person go in because of more sporty casual shoes. Amazingly they lost 12 thirsty people business. Congrats!!!!

Really cool atmosphere. Drink prices werent insane. I thought it seemed kind of slow for a Saturday night, but we got our drinks fast so I guess thats not a bad thing. Very chill feel to the bar and the staff. I would recommend and also come back

If youre into the dance club scene, then its the place for you. One of those places where if you turn on the lights youd second guess your dance partner decision. And youd notice the odd older men staring from the corners.

The bourbon selection here is okay. The crowd is very young and it is very, very loud here. The bouncers and bartenders are pretty cool. The place would be so much better without all the loud dance music.

My favorite club in Milwaukee!!! Always super chill, great staff and decent music... Definitely could use a bad-ass DJ, like Rog Mahal or DJ Serafin. Other than that, I love it!
