I called ahead to get pricing for a 4:30 3D movie only to get sticker shock once there. I was quoted the matinee price but matinee ends at 4:00 evidently. Once I entered the theatre I was surprised at all the popcorn cluttering the floors but no biggie... its just popcorn. The theatre was large and seating made for a great view of the screen. I pointed out the cute curtained walls to my kids. I liked the colors and overall look and design. I sat down and my foot kept slipping every time I tried to set it down. Once we were settled I looked at my foot to find it covered in something. I immediately went to the manager who said I was only quoted the wrong price because the person probably didnt know there was a price difference between regular and 3D. Uh... if your working at a theatre I would imagine that this would be kinda important to know. As for the stuff on my shoe he said they clean each time and asked a girl if she had cleaned and and she said yes and he asked her to go check. He looked at me and said sorry and walked away. By the time I made it back to the theater there were two ladies in the theater cleaning. I sat in a different row than before to avoid this stuff on my shoe. After they left I took a picture of the stuff still left on the floor. It is at this time I figured it out to be a huge pile of nacho cheese. The pre-movie screen did not work and only had sound. This and the lights not dimming to off may be normal for them but not my experience at any other theatre. I like a dark theatre not one where you see the walls, ceiling, and other patrons. I loved the movie. Sing. A great movie. I give this theatre 2 stars instead of 1 simply because the lady who got our refreshments was not rude. A really bad $50 experience for 3 afternoon movie seats and 1 popcorn and 1 drink.

Last week was my first time going to this theater. It was recommend to me for the Tight wad Tuesday prices. I went to see" The Promise" They were selling the tickets inside, I was running behind as usual and when I went in the guy was having a problem with the register switching over to the correct price. There was a little wait for that problem to get corrected, but no longer than about 6-7 minutes. I got the Tight wad Tuesday medium buttered popcorn for $2.50 pluss tax, I asked for extra butter. Would have liked more than was put on it but how do you know if its enough before you eat it lol. The theater was comfortable, appeared clean to me. The movie started coming on as soon as my bottom hit the seat, so even the short delay from getting my ticket it worked out fine. THEN.......one of my biggest pet peeves, I found it necessary to change my seat after the movie got started because these two ladies sitting behind me kept chatting back and forth, I tried to over look it and concentrate on the movie but they didnt stop. I MOVED .... got settled and got back into my movie........I will be going back on a Tuesdays when there is something I want to see ! I got the movie and the popcorn for the same price I would pay at Great Escape with NO popcorn. The reason for the three stars, I couldnt give perfect because of the delay in getting my ticket. I dont place , for the chatting ladies on the theater. When I go back, if there are no delays other than a line, I would change my rating to four stars........ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT!

Went to see "Detroit." Air conditioning was not on in that particular theatre. Hallways and main auditorium nicely cool. I asked for it to be turned on...empty promises. For this long movie, it was extremely uncomfortable to sit without air conditioning. Also, the mens room reeked of urine. I have seen broken chairs, leaking ceiling tiles and smelled mildew there. The maintenance is evidently being majorly neglected due to lack of funds. By contrast, Nitro Marketplaces Regal is clean, cool and always a friendly place to visit. One always sees their janitor(s) on duty, too. Such a shame Frank Theatres has gone downhill in a major way. One last complaint, at viewing for "Dunkirk," the pre-show featured audio-only, as the screen was still dark. Also, the movie stopped near the end and the screen went completely dark. I predict, sad to say, this place will close prematurely due to poor maintenance and lack of ticket revenue. Lastly, that pretty picture you see of the inside of the theatre was NOT taken at this location.

This was my first visit to Frank Theatresin Teays Valley. We found it strange that there werent many people at this theater for an opening night of many movies. The sound wasnt what youd expect at a theater. The temperature inside the theater was 79. After speaking to management, there was no change and no offer of a reason why the air condition was not in operation. (The lobby was quite comfortable.) Employees were nowhere to be seen as we exited our movie at 9pm. (They were nice when we bought popcorn and drinks before the movie.) Ill be looking forward to watching my movie again on DIRECTV or Netflix. The temperature and sound will be 100 times better. Ill think long and hard about returning.

I went to see spider man when it was in theaters. Management did not tell us the air conditioning was not working in the theater when we got the tickets. I got ahold of someone and they asked what theater, date, and time. After that, i never heard back. It doesnt matter if there is an issue or not there. Do not expect people to care about your thoughts on your business.

The popcorn tasted funky. I went back and got a new bag and it was freshly poped with the same funky taste. The drinks werent that fresh either. Very nice staff but Teays Valley Cinema seriously needs some revamping in the concession department. Weirdest movie theater popcorn Ive ever had and essentially thats a big part of my movie going experience.

Nice theatre, comfortable and clean. Bought tickets online prior to arrival and the employees had difficulty with that transaction. So the time that I was trying to spare infact took longer than just purchasing the tickets when we arrived. Other than that Ive always have had pleasant experiences here.

Good selection of films available and various other video games for entertainment. Ticket and concession stand prices are high, popcorn is usually stale. Many staff members are friendly but other cant be bothered to do their job properly.

My friends and went to watch it last night, only to find out the air conditioner was out in the theater we were in but no one informed us until we complained it was miserable.

Always have loved this place. Only downfall is the prices. Went to see IT with my hubby on a friday at 4pm and it was $20 for 2 tickets.

Like most theaters these days, its pretty expensive, especially for refreshments. But its normally clean and the popcorn is fresh.
