Postscript: This review was removed from Yelp, most likely due to a complaint from Fun-Land. As a former employee here, I can tell you that from a customer POV things need improvement but this place is not a total rip off. Depending on your age and your childrens age, it can be a decent place to spend an hour or so compared to what else is around Fredericksburg. Unfortunately, customer experience goes down the tubes when managers expect too few staff to do too much. While managers were sitting in their office I struggled to make pizzas, cook them, and take orders while there were at times over twenty people still in line that I had not attended too. In addition to customers waiting too long, they were also served poor quality and possibly sickening food. My manager would instruct me to serve pizzas to people that had rotten stinking cheese on it that hed been sitting in the refrigerator for too long. The same goes for things like french fries that were burned. When I told her that I would not do that she replied "the customer will just think thats how theyre suppose to be" (burned). I was also yelled at by an assistant manager here for not measuring the cheese that goes on a pizza when the bag of cheese already had a weight on it and I did not need to weigh it again. If I was to do this I would have had to work through the night as I was there many nights until about 3 am. On top of this, I was not payed minimum wage. When I was hired I signed an agreement that stated I would make at least minimum wage after three months. After six months, I asked one of my assistant managers if I could be payed correctly. Not long after that they fabricated a reason for firing me. Although I never missed a day of work here, I did attempt to call out sick on one occassion. I was virally ill and throwing up and I worked in the cafe. According to health department laws in virginia someone in food service is not allowed to work while virally ill. Of course, they would not accept this and told me I had to come to work. Keep this in mind when eating here.

The facilities themselves seemed nice, fairly well-kept for the wide variety (not sparkling, but its an older facility!) and the prices seemed very fair for the experiences being offered. Our group took part in the Lazer Tag, Mini-Golf, Bumper Cars and several of the arcade games. We were sorely disappointed though with the service we received, All the employees were quite young and seemed bored and disinterested and honestly like theyd rather be anywhere else. Constantly sitting down, talking to each other or playing the games themselves we had to hunt to find people to help us several times and they always dragged their feet and acted like we were interrupting them. Even the girl who was clearly the manager for the day (different colored shirt) offered one word answers to questions and was more interested in talking to other employees. The worst was playing Lazer Tag with a group of 5 and one persons pack was broken. The employee shrugged and said hed tried to find the person throughout the game but she was moving around. We went to the front counter to ask for a refund and the employee came running up after saying he wouldve offered us one if wed asked. It was just overall disappointing in customer service.

Went their today and the would not allow my kid to play laser tag although he was tall enough and old enough. I asked to speak with a general manager and was told that he was not available, which was a lie because the so called operations manager did not want to go get him from the back. Called there and spoke to Darrell the assistant general manager was available, but they were too lazy to go to the office and get him. I asked for a refund for the remainder on my card since they did not want to follow their own policy, did not want to do that. Needless to say that I will not be going back as they do not honor their own policy. Waiting on a call back, but will not be holding my breath. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB in regards to the issue. Please do not waste your money as this place is a waste, and they do not follow their own policies when allowing children to play laser tag(it is extremely over priced for what it is)

Dont go here without a Groupon coupon! You will be very disappointed if you have to pay full price. I would say at least 10 games werent working. Some of the games are very overpriced. The rock wall costs $4.00 and mini bowling costs $5. The roller coasters/rides are $4-$5 each rider. I believe the big playground area was $6.00 to enter. ... wow! Very expensive to have fun here. Might be a better deal if we used the outdoor rides but it was raining the day we went so they werent operating. Still would have been broke after riding a few rides..... especially if an adult has to ride with the little one because they arent tall enough (42"). Staff was super friendly and helpful. We did not eat so I cant comment on the food. Prizes stink for what you pay for. Much better games/prizes at say.... Chuck e Cheese. We had fun though, so thanks GROUPON!! :)

the people that own this place are crooks!!! it is crazy expensive each ride cost like $6 or $7 to ride. The food is expensive and its not even a good quality for what you are paying for. The management is terrible. Also they dont even pay the kids that work there minimum wage, and they get away with it cause they call it a "trial period" but its like 60 or 90 days. The people that own it are just money hungry crooks. I will never bring my kids there again cause i refuse to give them any money. Even if they are invited to a Bday party there i will not allow them to go. Just cause there isnt a place around here that has rides like they do, the owners think that they can screw over the people of Fredericksburg! you can buy SEASON passes to Kings Dominion for the cost of going to Funland.

I really would like to give this place a 5 star rating. The staff was super nice and attentive. They were very helpful when I asked for privacy to nurse my 9mo son and hooked us up getting tokens so he could ride the batmobile. The food, especially the fries, were yummy. Great selection of activities and very few attractions were broken like we tend to see at chuckEcheese-type places. That said, all the attractions are now strangely expensive. Even the play tubes that used to be free are now $6 per child and almost all the games(about 90%) were $1+. My 6yo blew thru $20 in about 10 minutes just on driving games. Also, the pizza crust was weirdly pretzel-y tasting... So in all, def go visit, just expect to spend way more money than before but you will absolutely have a fun time.

This place has a lot of potential to be great for people of multiple age groups. However... it appears that the kids are allowed to run around bumping into people knocking food or drinks out of their hands, cut in line, even run so hard and blindly to run a child over and make them smash into the ground and the kid running wont stop or say sorry or try to help anyone up. People also allowed to throw trash down right in front of staff and the staff shrug and walk by. This may have just been a bad day to go, but like I said, there is a lot to do and you can have fun... but you MUST have patience or else your blood pressure will sky rocket because the kids are allowed to do whatever they want.
