I feel like it need to write a review of my recent experience at the Northampton House in AF. First of all the building and venue is absolutely perfect for a wedding and dinner, which is what I chose to have there. The food was catered by the Northampton House and it was very tasty. I had many guests comment on how good the food was. Again the facility was beautiful and perfect. Apparently a newer sound system was recently installed and the thumb drive we were asked to bring was not compatible with her iPad. Because of this, the music was a disaster and most of the songs we wanted played were not. Aubry, who was supposed to be my "wedding planner" was very disorganized... My mother and I spent the entire night looking for her. Aubry had asked me for an agenda the week before and had asked me what my expectations were of her... I had in turn asked her to announce and direct the entire event and gave her a play-by-play on the written agenda. The agenda was NOT followed... There were not enough servers, in my opinion, as the dinner took over and hour to serve 100 people. The cake was served and that also took over an hour to serve as well... We did not have time for the planned dancing and many guests left early because they did not know what was going on and thought we were done. The number one comment I had about the entire night from guests was how rude Aubry was to these guests. I believe she was frustrated with the sound system but many guests noticed it and like I said many comments were made. This is also the "vibe" I got from other people who worked with The Northampton House on a regular basis. I honestly wanted to ask her if this was her first wedding event even though I know she has been there over a year. Like I said the facility was amazing but in all honesty I cannot recommend the Northampton House because of my experience.

Northampton House is a stunning reception center both inside and out. The building is beautifully and tastefully decorated, and for summer wedding the gardens are gorgeous. The reception rooms are elegant and roomy and can easily handle large groups. The new event coordinator is very enjoyable to work with. I found her to be full of good ideas, well organized, and personable which made our event not only run smoothly, but also efficiently and enjoyably. The coordinator and her staff were prepared ahead of time and worked quickly in attending to our needs and desires. I have enjoyed very much discussing a wide variety of possible options for additional events I am interested in booking here. The items on the Northampton menu were very tasty when I came to a tasting before deciding on which catered fare I preferred. I highly recommend asking for a tasting. It was a treat! I really enjoyed the quality and variety of the food Northampton offers. All in all I love everything about Northampton House. They make planning a wedding so enjoyable by offering to provide for so many important wedding day necessities and freeing family and guests to enjoy the day more fully knowing that Northampton staff will do their best to fill the special day with all the good things it deserves. One of the nicest parts about booking here along with the wonderful location, excellent food, wonderful helpful staff, and beautiful large decorated rooms is the price. Northampton House prices were reasonable and adding up all the help they provided I saved myself time, energy, and money planning most of the events here in this location. I highly recommend Northampton House. I plan on booking here again.

We held our daughters wedding reception here last month. The building and its rooms are beautiful and elegant; just what we wanted. The gardens were in full bloom and we were able to get some beautiful pictures; though due to another wedding taking place, we were not able to get more pictures outside. The night of the reception, we met a couple of people on staff who we had never met nor heard of and rarely saw after introductions. We had worked with Aubrie and enjoyed working with her but didnt see her until the event was over. I know they are in transition to another event coordinator as she is moving. When we arrived, the room was set up as requested, with the exception of centerpieces--we did not want the ones provided and had brought our own but it was fine to do a quick change out. We used outside catering which so I cant speak to the inhouse catering. A factor in that decision was due to lack of communication and follow through on requests for an updated quote on the catering and also a tasting which we were told we could have but never heard back. Ill write a separate review on the catering company. Our guests had only positive things to say about the evening. All in all, I would recommend Northampton House and would probably have another function there.

Last weekend we held my daughters reception at Northampton House. Laura was excellent to work with. She offered solutions when I was unsure and was conscientious about every detail. She was readily accessible through the planning and made the building available whenever we needed to measure something or simply stand in the room to visualize the event. The building itself is a grand old Dame, constructed in 1903. Though we hosted close to 200 guests, it somehow has a cozy feeling also. We especially liked the staircase from the brides room, the perfect place to introduce the new Mr. and Mrs. The tall narrow windows that line one wall are also a beautiful point of the architecture. Now perhaps the most important part! After considering several options we decided to have Northampton House cater the food. We were NOT disappointed! We served a full meal with chicken, potatoes, green beans, salad and rolls and had several compliments from our guests. There was ample amounts and they even packed up the leftovers for us. We also had a cocoa bar and a dessert bar. The brownies and blondies were delicious! Regrets? Wish we could do a wedding in the spring or summer or fall to enjoy the beautiful gardens and fountains. Couldnt have been better! Beautiful, clean, organized, painless, delicious, and worth every penny! We had my daughters reception there and for me, the experience was absolutely perfect. They did the refreshments so beautifully, kept everything in stock, and even served the cake and boxed it up! The price was on point, and every detail attended to. The grand piano was lovely and in tune, which was a big deal for our family as our daughter wanted me to play a chopin nocturne. We had half a box of personal things, and carried out that and the wedding gifts. Clean up was 10 minutes or less. In other words, they did it all! We used the room with the stained glass windows. Absolutely gorgeous. Needs no more decorating. It also came with table centerpieces and our choice color coordinated table banners. I had 2 daughters wed this summer and this reception was simply dreamy and so easy compared to the other which we had to decorate and setup ourselves. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for beauty and efficiency. The price was almost the same as trying to do it yourself, only with far less hassle and better results. We had the dessert bars and lemonade. So delicious.
