This USED to be my go to theater for all of my movie going until today! My daughters mother-in-law and I brought our 4 yr old granddaughter to see Finding Dory. First a female employee with a headband came running from the bar area, just as we had finished purchasing our tickets, to rudely bark at us that we werent allowed to bring our leftovers from Maggianos inside. Since my daughter was dropping us off to do some shopping at the mall, she took them with her for 2 hours instead of putting them in the HOT CAR. THEN instead of being POLITELY directed to our theater we were once again rudely told to open our purses as if we were common criminals without explanation. When I asked for what, as this had NEVER HAPPENED at ANY of my prior visits, one of which was just 3 days ago, she said for guns, knives and food. I understand that there are rules that are in place for peoples safety & because they also serve food and dont want other food from other establishments coming in, HOWEVER, there is a way to go about it in a manner as to not put someone, in this case myself and my family, on the defensive, and possibly ruin what was supposed to be a fun and special afternoon with two grandmothers, (one of which is visiting from another state) seeing their 1st movie with their 1st and only granddaughter together! I have NEVER been treated so rudely and criminally going to a movie at this location, NEVER had to show the contents of my purse, do NOT recall seeing any other female being asked to open their purse for inspection and even felt a slight accusatory attitude from the manager when he stated that the employee was doing her job and this was the policy since the open carry law went into effect, yet I was just there 3 days ago and my purse was not searched, I watched at least 3 other women walk in while I stood there talking with the manager and none of them were made to stop & open their purses to search for weapons or food and on June 20th when I was there neither myself or my friends purses were searched. So something just doesnt add up except the price of my movie tickets and my blood pressure! I can guarantee you this I know a lot of people and have a very big mouth & it certainly will be a cold day in hell before I step foot in this theater again!

This is our go to theater when having a family movie day and there isnt a crowd. It CAN get very crowded so we either wait until a movie has been out or go to the dollar movies. Its a lot cleaner than some of the local theaters. They have Tuesday specials, very nice about giving rainchecks and the floors are clean when we come in to find seats. A woman once complained on my kids and I because we were taking up too many seats on the row that is wheelchair accessible and she was furious when she spoke to the manager. The manager came and asked to speak to me outside. She explained what went on and assured me that if the woman bothered my children or I, just ask for her and she would handle it. I couldnt believe how upset the woman was. She went as far as to complain to a manager but never said a word to ME. If she had, she would have discovered that my oldest son is special needs and needs extra room to stretch his legs out. When I tried to explain this to the manager, she cut me off, nicely, and told me there was no need to explain because everyone has a right to pick their seats and everyone is welcome.

Coming here is always a hit or a miss. Their chairs are incredibly squeaky. The screen will sometimes flicker the entire time during a movie. I was shocked when the picture was flickering in Theater 9 for Star Wars. I dont think the employees could move any slower when retrieving your drinks and food. Also, the two times they messed up my order they blamed me when they called the manager to refund me and give me what I originally wanted. Also, 80% of the time the center speaker sounds horrible. Especially during the dialog in a movie. Going downtown to Sundance is well worth the drive.

Horrible! Not family friendly, employees are rude, had my stroller confiscated and put in the box office forcing me to carry my infant all the way down the block long hall with my 8 & 11 year old. I have a very bad back and ended up having to take medicine that evening. I was told it was a fire hazard, but I dont see how a wheel chair doesnt pose the same problem. This theater also doesnt allow children under six in after six for rated "R" movies. I get this policy for children above six months, but it prevents nursing moms from attending a movie at night.

The movie-going experience is pretty much ruined for me now because of assigned seating. Now I cant actively see whats a good seat for optimal viewing/hearing or avoid noisy rows of kids or people who wear too much perfume. And getting to the theater early means nothing now, too--no "good seat" incentive--so I guess I can time it to avoid those pesky local ads and previews and still have my assigned seat. Way to make it even less worth it to go see a movie, Cinemark. I really think this will just hurt your business long term.

So-so experience. There are many businesses which really need to learn about providing quality customer service. The lack of greeting with a smile and the extremely slow service when purchasing your movie popcorn is just unacceptable. Is it really so difficult to greet your customers with a smile and to say "Welcome to Cinemark"? And, is it difficult to get a system going when gathering a customers order? Not to mention the mess that surrounds the area--popcorn, napkins, straws all over the floor. Speed it up and Keep it tidy!

As movie theaters go Cinemark 18 is a great place to go. Theyve recently added in on some of their theaters the DBOX, which I havent tried. Those seats take up a big section of the prime viewing area. Maybe Im missing out but its kind of annoying to not be able to sit in that area without a DBOX ticket. Concession lines are not that long and they have even a little restaurant area on the side. This place also feels a lot safer than other movie theaters further north.

We usually come down to this theater, because the theaters in our area are usually full of loud, rude people who talk through the movies. This Cinemark is fine for what it is. If you really look down at some of the details around the place, it could really use some renovation. Ticket prices are on the high side, especially for their "XD" movies, which are just big and loud. Ive never experienced a long line here.

My movie-going experience here was terrible!!! Just saw "The girl with the dragon tattoo" and there was CONSTANT whispering from several groups of people!! Even after being told to quiet down they didnt stop and the employees were no where to be found. Furthermore, Im pretty sure that some of those constantly talking were UNDERAGE!! Dont be rude and talk to people during the ENTIRE movie! Go home and do that!
