On Wednesday, June 26, 2013 my husband and I took our 8 year old son to this theater to see a movie. We ended up requesting a refund and leaving after witnessing an employee treat another customer with such disrespect. There were only 2 employees working at the time with one being the manager so they were both behind the concession stand counter working together. When the lady in front of us approached the counter and placed her order the employee behind the counter became frustrated with her and began making rude comments. This happened in front of her child and everyone standing behind her. It went on for several minutes with the manager standing right by him and doing nothing about it. This rude and disrespectful employee continued running his mouth until my husband spoke up to the manager and we requested a refund. The managers excuse for ignoring this unacceptable behavior was that he was busy trying to do three things at once and wasnt paying attention. There is no way that he could have missed this because everyone in line was aware of what was happening. The sad part is that my 8 year old son never asked why we couldnt stay and watch the movie. Instead he was more concerned about why this employee was being so mean to this customer and why he didnt get in trouble for it. If an 8 year old can figure out that it is not okay to treat people that way then surely this theater can employee a manager that is capable of knowing the same. Unfortunately we pass this theater every time we drive into to Waco to see a movie.

Generally a nice theater, but I have to agree with several other reviewers on this theater’s sound and picture quality, specifically in Auditorium 8. AVOID that auditoriam at all costs!!! I brought it to their attention months ago and manager told me that it was an issue with the screen?! Fast forward 7 months later and the issue still exists, only this time I was told it was an issue with corporate & the way they send their movies?!?! None of it makes any sense and to be honest, it really does take away from the movie-going experience. 2 main issues: The aspect ratio of the screen is off (be prepared for zoomed in faces and cropped off heads). The sound quality and levels need to be tweaked (horrible surround sound and be prepared to barely hear any dialogue). Bottom line-it’s unacceptable to let the problem go on for this long and to continue to screen films in this auditorium, as it really cheats the viewers from what should be a complete “movie theater” experience. I would advise to go to the Starplex Galaxy theater until this issue is fixed!

Worst theater in the area. Concession stand is horrible! Get to the movie 30 min early if you want popcorn, because thats how long it takes to get your food. One visit the popcorn was molded. Today we orderded an icee. The red was out. So the choices were Blue and Mountain Dew. We chose Mountain Dew. It was on the other end, So the girl goes down there and fights the machine for 6-7 minutes and finally brings back a cup 1/2 full. She asked if we want it and I said sure, but with a discount. She asked the manager and he said NO we cant do that. Im sorry, but Im not paying full price for a 1/2 full drink. Oh, and one of their popcorn machines was not working, so things were really backed up. All that, and no diet coke. I will not be back to this theater. I also will not miss the squeaky chairs. So annoying!

My husband and I went to go see Deadpool on the second night 2/13 and the concessions stand literally had 2 people working. The lines were ridiculous and the manager, who was in a business suit, didnt do anything to help the employees out. Finally he jumped in but only to do refills on drinks and popcorn. When it was our turn the young woman took our order very rudely and when I asked for layered butter on my popcorn she sighed and proceeded to make my popcorn with no layering at all and all the butter was placed on top. When I asked if it was layered after watching her make it she lied to me and told me it was and then got my drink wrong. The movie was great but the service was beyond horrible.

Ticket prices were comparable to other theaters in the area. When we asked about the large combo (2 large drinks and a large popcorn), the price was only a single dollar cheaper than full price, which by the way was like $22. But whatever, the major kicker was by the time we got to the theatre room, the place was filthy. Trash was lying everywhere, even though it had been several hours since the previous viewing in that room. Overall, this theater was overpriced and trashy. Ill go to the Starplex or the Regal in Killeen. This is a very poor representation of the Regal brand, which usually has much higher standards.

Wont be going back. No student ticket prices on weekends (Friday, Saturday, OR Sunday) so it was terribly expensive just to get in. We decided to forgo the snack counter since it is almost twice the price when compared to Starplex cinemas which is only about 10 miles away. I am sad that this theater has fallen apart. I used to frequent Hollywood theaters prior to them being purchased by Regal. I grew up in Waco & say a movie every weekend for most of my life. It is upsetting that now i only have one choice- Starplex.

I do not recommend the party room. Firstly, they do not make it easy to reserve a room. Then, even after verifying twice that we were good to go on our party start time, they still had the doors to the theatre locked and no one available to let us in. After waiting outside for 15 minutes past our booking time someone finally came to the door to tell us "we arent open yet". It took another 15 minutes for them to find a manager and unlock the party room. Overall I was very disappointed with our experience.

How does one rate a cinema? The ticket prices are decent, but with only a few theaters in town they are about the same everywhere except the discount theater. The food is okay, but WAY overpriced. The sodas dont taste right, but since when has a movie theater soda tasted right. The place is relatively clean. I wish the arms between the seats folded up. The seats are small, but Im a big person and all movie theater seats are small. Its your average movie theater. Nothing special. Nothing bad.

Horrible Manager!! We prepaid for our tickets and when we arrived we were told the movie didnt "work"!! Why the hell would you be selling tickets online to a movie that you cant even display in your theater? Then we were told we could not be given a refund! Seriously? Its against your companys policy to refund for a prepaid movie that I handed you the printed out version with order confirmation number on it?? I will never return.

Generally a good theater, with nice staff and good facilities - except for one crucial detail... Auditorium 8, where most of the biggest movies screen, consistently plays movies at the wrong aspect ratio. This means that the top, bottom, and the sides of the screen are cut off. The staff says that the lens is not working, and that they have to place an order to replace it, but this has not happened in months.
