Recently, I tried to take my older kids here for a 10pm show (a cartoon nonetheless). We get there and we are told no one under 18 years of age allowed after 9pm. What??? Im their dad and I will be accompanying them in this movie. Nope. That was the answer. No reason to explain that policy or anything. This was a Thursday night, my kids are in their teens, no school the next day, had their hopes up for the movie then get shut down as soon as we enter. I can understand not letting teenagers run around unattended in old town but with their father who can watch and protect them? I just dont get that. My kids are not the type to act out. They just wanted to watch a late movie with their dad who normally works the midnight/overnight shift. I would like to know the reasoning behind this policy. And to offer a cartoon or kids show after 10pm on a week day doesnt make a whole lot of business sense either. Im extremely disappointed in this location and we wont be back, not even during the day. We will spend our money somewhere else and like that night, we did and we had a great time being out late creating memories for life. Below is an older review of mine: I like the old town feel to this theatre. There is a small bar inside before you get to the screening rooms. Wider rows in the theaters give the wait staff easy access to bring you whatever you ordered. Personally, I think this disrupts the movie experience always being walked in front of during the show that you paid good money for. It is annoying to say the least. I always grab my drink and food before hand and use the restroom before the movie starts so I can enjoy the entire movie without getting up.

My family and I came here on a Wednesday evening for dinner and a movie. We arrived early so we could eat before the movie started at 630. At 5:30 we had to wait (we were the first in line) before we could go to the theater. I asked and they informed us wed be seated at 6. They didnt seat us until 6:15, And although we were the very first group there, we didnt get to order our food until the previews started, after 6:30. There was only one waitress for the entire theater. Our food came promptly, but the guy who brought the drinks was either new or clueless, he wondered around several rows with our drinks before we flagged him down to tell him they were ours. Then he only gave us 2 of the 4, and wondered around some more with the other 2, until we flagged him down AGAIN. The experience was very irritating, seeing as how we came an hour early to avoid these kinds of issues, and we could have showed up right at 6:30 and had the same experience. It was not the waitresses fault, and I dont even blame the drink runner or the folks that waited till 6:15 to let us into the theater. I blame management for not having a more organized method for busier nights. To our surprise Wednesday was half priced movie, which was a nice surprise but made for a much BUSIER evening. Warren Theater management needs to train and plan ahead for these nights.

i went to see the new "Batman V Superman" movie and going with high expectations was my biggest mistake. i made sure to get my ticket online but that didnt matter because the theater was already full. so i had to spend 13.35 on another ticket for the 3D version....which was absolutely the worst. but i persevered! i entered the theater and i was quickly hit with mixture of sour vomit and burnt popcorn. the smell was unbearable. the movie started and i was enjoying it until people started ordering food, i thought it was just going to happen in the beginning of the film. but they kept ordering and ordering and ordering. just seeing those fat fingers spam that red button made me cringe with utter disgust. on top of that the waitresses would stand right in front of you, settling tabs with the people not caring if youre trying to watch a film you paid $13.00 for. Anyway, this concludes my review of the dirtiest theater in wichita. if you want to see a movie, i suggest you drive a little further to the IMAX and save yourself the headache.

The latest inception of Bill Warrens Old Town Theater Grill (I still would address this as a cinema!) finally seems to have hit the right note after the demise of Oscars and flailing around at menu changes Now striding on solid feet, the Old Town offers several different film venues while improving on the service and food quality. The drink specials are usually pretty good, the beer selection admirable and the staff is efficient and friendly. Chances are you can small chat with the floor manager who probably has more important duties to attend to but will still make you feel at home. I wonder if the spoiled movie public in Wichita realizes what a gem this location is: just try to find another like it anywhere in the country. Love him or loathe him, Bill Warren has a deep appreciation for film and it shows in every projection on every screen. He doesnt just show you a film - he creates a totally immerse experience - transforming the movie box house into hands-down the best cinema viewing experience in America. .

This theatre is ok. Picture and sound were fine. The auditorium I was in was DD 7.1 (not Atmos) and had no issues. Since I was spoiled at other theatres in other towns, I found some things lacking. For example, to pre-purchase pre-assigned tickets, you have to opt for the directors suite. This costs $16 per seat vs. the $5 ticket I enjoyed on a Wednesday night. Same with nice recliner chairs; they are only available in the suite at the higher cost. Both of these are included at my regular theatre, even on $5 night. Beer selection was OK, couple of craft beers on draft. It is frustrating to me that they essential push you into using the in theatre servers vs getting your own, and then the service time was slow ~25 minutes for a beer before the movie started. I also find the servers distracting. Would prefer to buy my beer outside and not deal with a server walking in front of me every 10-15 minutes or so and then coming to settle up on my tab 30 minutes before the end of the movie with a bright hand held.

Last night I spent almost $100 to see a movie. Totally regretting it! Loved the the movie! loved the theater! Service was horrible! Decided to go see a movie in the directors Suite. That was $32 for tickets! Spent almost $60 on dinner and drinks! Food WAS NOT good at all!! After waiting 40 min for our drinks and a side of ranch (with our lights on), I had to leave the movie, go down the elevator to find someone, to find all the wait staff standing downstairs just chit-chatting with a manager. I told the manager what had happened and he asked who my waiter was and it was the guy standing right next to him. Manager shot him a dirty look and said he would fix it right away. And then when the waiter comes up stairs to cash me out he was totally rude but did say they took 10% off of one of our meals!! I laughed and told him I would add it back on and that would be his tip. Mistakes happen! Its how you react and correct them that defines good service!
