Its a cheap theater. For traditional Indy theaters its for more on the level of a dollar theater. But dont get me wrong- I am all for cheap movies- the actual film is the same whether you paid $6.50 or $18. The only drawback is that the theater it self is just old. The lighting style is old, the chairs are old, the layout is old, and while movie theaters always have a chill in the air- this location has a humid chill. I have always wanted to see a drive in movie- which may be a major redeeming factor for this theater.
Good prices, tasty popcorn, and clean facilities. There did seem to be some kind of an issue with the start of the movie. It was scheduled to begin at 12:30, but at that point the screen just went blank. It stayed blank for about 10 to 15 minutes, before finally starting the previews. I dont know if they had a malfunction, or if maybe they still had a lot of people in line for the show (there were quite a few late-comers), but it was a little difficult keeping our son from growing too impatient.
Went to the Revenant a few weeks back. In the middle of movie during a climatic scenes, a series of commercials ran over the movie. For 5 minutes. Finally someone had to go tell staff so they could fix. No apologies or refunds were offered. I told manager after and he said "hat wasnt supposed to happen". Really? Wow. Thanks for nothing. This theatre was dirty and my $6 popcorn was stale. This is why everyone from Franklin goes to Greenwood to see a movie. Including me for now on.
I enjoy coming to this theater. Lately, however, it seems there are less and less top movies being shown. "Lion" was never shown and I couldnt find "The Zoo Keepers Wife" in coming attractions. "Lion" was nominated for an Oscar. It seems there are many more movies that are for kids, sci fi and horror movies. Please consider more movies with serious and true story substance.
I love this theater. Reasonable prices for both movies and concessions. They also have a pretty solid lineup of films. Yeah, its not super fancy or anything like that, but they have both indoor conventional theaters and a drive-in. What more could a person want?
The screen for the drive in is too small to see if youre parked any distance away. They also need to fix their radio broadcast antenna, several of my friends parked close to the screen and couldnt here the movie because of sound issues with the radio.
I love this place!! Great prices and concessions!! Not sure what the other guy is talking about, we had issues with storm during movie and everyone was allowed to come back to watch it as long as they brought their stub in. I think they are fair...
Average price, average concession selection. Several of the theaters have split seating down each side of the room, but no seats centered to the screen. Who designs a theatre like that!? The drive-in double feature is a great deal.
I wasnt overly impressed with this establishment. Kinda unclean with very uncomfortable seats. The particular screen I watched was fine looking, but the speakers crackled during several instances of the movie.
Overall this is a awesome theatre to go to! Its always busy but the employees are always fast and efficient! The concession prices arent overpriced and everything is fresh!
This theater is never crowded. While it is a little outdated and could use an overhaul in some areas, the A/V quality is decent and it is easy to get in and out of.
Great place for a drive in! Pop corn is pricey but it always is at movie theaters but at least you can feel good that it is keeping on of the few drive ins opens!
Smaller theater, less people. My choice is Canary Creek everytime over the high priced theaters around. Good customer service, good sound, & comfortable seats.
Really good popcorn that could benefit from a self-service butter stand. Smaller screens but that means a more intimate viewing. Sound was just okay.
Great place to see a movie. Always clean and staff is super friendly. Good sound system in all theaters. Stadium and traditional seating.
I love the movie theater. Its like being in your own living room only alot bigger and all the people are nice. Its a home away from home.
It is refreshing to find an independent theater like Canary Creek. They offer a drive in, digital picture and sound, and comfy seats!
The concession workers are not friendly at all. They need to be friendly and smile would help! Sorry to interrupt your social time!
make sure you bring an FM radio with you. Love bringing my kids here, grab a meal on the way there and enjoy a night out.
Great place to go to see new movies. Drive in is cool to go to for double features. Can be expensive for a big family.
I saw "The Good Dinosaur" with my son here and it was great! The picture and sound were top notch. Highly recommended!
Great theatre for a small, but up and coming town... Meaning they are expanding with places to shop.
Great place to go family fun or for a loving couple to cuddle up n enjoy a movie in peace.
Screens are a little smaller but other than that very clean and the staff is friendly.
Great theater. Small but usually no crowd. Better prices than the big chains as well.
Great place ! Very friendly people , not as crowded as the city and I love it
Good place clean no bad kids...Had date with my girlfriend was a good night...
Its ok. Needs updating desperately, especially considering what they charge.
More affordable, great environment. Best place to take the kids for a movie!
Great theater that is not crowded. Staff is friendly. Wheelchair friendly.
Small local theater with good popcorn and clean restrooms. Good ownership
Quiet and friendly, with reasonable prices. Convenient to get in and out.
So glad to have a movie theater close to home. Polite and efficient staff.

Limited cinema selection. High prices if not visiting during a matinee.
Nice cheap theater with drive in movies with an older feel to it.
