Wide fairways. Well kept greens. Extremely professional staff. Pro shop employees, cart attendants, and ladies working in the restaurant are all friendly and courteous. The Practice and Play Club, which includes Rolling Green, Legacy, and Seranoa, is a cant beat proposition. $36.99 plus tax per month. Members get free range balls all day, every day, at all three courses and discounted rates as cheap as $9 between 12 noon and 4 pm for 18 holes of golf. And they throw in a free beverage (beer or soda). Lunch and breakfast specials are only five bucks, beverage included. And the food is excellent. I played 18 holes of golf, ate lunch, and had two beverages at Rolling Green for around $15. Thats a tremendous value in this day and age of overpriced sushi and five-dollar cups of Starbucks coffee.

Everything about this course is above par, from the condition of the course, to the quality of the management. I was part of the "so called" "Eightsome" First the gentleman below did not attempt to play through, as soon as he was on the hole behind us we stopped and allowed them to play through. We were celebrating a friend of ours 50th birthday with 7 of our best friends. We were also playing in 20+ mph winds, so disturbing anyone by was not a problem. Positives of the course, The greens and fairways are in amazing condition even with all the rain we have had lately, the clubhouse looks amazing, and the staff is courteous as always! I apologize for the "Eightsome" but when playing in the conditions we were playing in, I hardly think of it as a disruption! Thanks again Rolling Green

Only went there for practice on the range. The range is ok. Nothing exciting. Balls are old and would need upgrade. The putting green is very nice and large. Pitching green with bunker is small but good. They charge 9 $ for a large. Not exactly a deal. But in todays world all practice balls cost more. If they would be in shape, it would be justified though. I like the targets they have. They are like Donald Ross greens. We had a beer after practice. Price is ok and beer was cold and good. The server at the bar was very nice. Pro shop employee was ok, Could be friendlier. The range employee was ok, but they could have someone friendlier. Overall I will be back for practice when in the area. They do offer a nice practice deal and once I played the course I will see if I do that.

I played this course for the first and last time. Although it is totally flat and has a compact layout from greens to tees, walking is not allowed, even if one pays the electric cart fee. The course was in very poor condition, and the round was interminably slow. The icing on the cake was the rudeness of the proshop manager who actually started yelling at me when I asked for a rating for women from the white tees. His ignorance of the course rating system and his unwillingness to let me speak to the courses pro to get the correct rating capped off an unpleasant golf round. There is no excuse for treating a player that way. Obviously, I wont be back.

The previous reviews are inaccurate as of March, 2009. This is the worst golf course ever. It is a dessert. You can not tell the difference between the fairways and the rough. Hard and brown. The greens were green with weeds, uneven, and cement hard. This place is a dump. I would never play here again. It was not worth the $35 round. They had a coupon for 2/$50 on their website, but it was expired. There are many other great courses in Sarasota, so just drive right past this place. Even the regulars out there were complaining that the course was in terrible shape!

This is an economical solution for playing golf and I consider it to be one of the better values locally. Typically you can play this course and get lunch with a beer for around 20 bucks. The course gets a lot of traffic, so its sometimes beat up around the greens. The course is mostly open and the water is off to the side on most holes, so its difficult to lose too many balls. Because of the local popularity and the lack of starters enforcing speedy play, it can take all of 4+ hours to get through the course when it is busy.

The pro shop allowed a group of 8 players to play together. Finally when our group caught up to them on the 12th hole they wouldnt let us play through until the next hole. They were drunk, rowdy and playing "Bumper Cars" with the golf carts. I phoned the pro shop and it took 20 minutes to get someone out to the course to put a stop to it. I wouldnt go back to this course. This course has no class and it appears that the management is lacking the ability to discipline this behavior.

Rolling Green has been my course of choice for the past 6 months. The course has been well maintained all summer, even through the aeration process. The greens are soft and well established. The staff is great from the kitchen to the pro-shop. I often take my 9 year old out for a round with dad and the pro-shop staff always has something encouraging for the future golfer. No better deal out that offers golf, lunch or breakfast for the price.

Older crowd during the summer. People pull the cart directly up to the green. ( My pet peeve ) but the price is right. Lots of singles play. We just let them pass trough. Sometimes during the wet summer months the fairways get thick since the cant mow them as fast

I liked it. The course is easy. The grounds were nice enough. We got 18 holes, 2 beers, and lunch for two players for $89. Not bad at all. This is not a fancy course, but its worth playing for a nice easy day where you can work on some fundamentals.

Im partial to this course because I more or less learned to play on it. Very forgiving, open holes in most cases. Not especially challenging, but fun to play. Usually great deals available, and the diner-style food in the clubhouse is very good.

It is not an easy golf course but fun to play. There is no fancy clubhouse but the restaurant is good. There are good golf packages including breakfest lunch and beer. The combined membership of 3 clubs for under $40 a month is super bargain.

One of the most awful courses I have ever played staff is rude course under water from 1 day of rain and to top it off waiting 20 minutes for server to take our order, the service standards and rude attitude of the service staff is pathetic.

I will give the 1 star because the people are friendly the course is a disaster. Paying more than 10 dollars to play on this course is outrageous And they charge more than 20 dollars summer rates. Even for employees of other golf courses.

Cheap and easy to get t time . Lunch and drinks included. Course is long enough for average golfer but maintenance is only fair. Greens are too slow , traps are not groomed, players dont rake traps. Very average public course,
