Had a buddy in town from out of state and went there on an ideal golfer deal for $29 bucks (with lunch). Had heard a lot about the links course, and was hoping to play it, but there was a high school tournament going on for another hour and a half of so. Spoke to a staff member (Duff) who told us to go play the Lakes course for a few holes and burn some time and if we really wanted to, we could come back and go play 18 on the links. We thought that was really nice of him to offer. We got through 2 holes on Lakes and our minds were made up. We were gonna play all 18. The Lakes course is stunning. Great views, awesome holes, forgiving fairways, and fantastic greens. Just a great golf course. We loved it so much that we came back and played the Links the following day. Personally, I liked the Lakes course a little more, but the layout and greens on the Links course was definitely a little more challenging. Id recommend this course(s) to anyone wanting a hell of a deal on a great couple of courses.

Love this place. We usually try to play both courses when we go. Played this past weekend 8/4/12. Greens are great on both Links/Lakes courses right now. Things are really drying out in this August heat. Conditions are still good on both courses but some spots are starting to get crispy. Firm fairways but still soft enough for irons. Grounds crew is doing well to keep up. Pace was a little slow on the Lakes course. The starter had abandoned his post and it was a little free for all-ish on the 1st tee. The Links course pace was great in the afternoon. Heat keeps many off. Proshop guys were great and lunch was great. Only negative is that sometimes it takes awhile to see cart girls but they have gotten better at getting around the courses. Definitely worth the trip down to Glen Rose. Many times you can play both Lakes/Links courses in the same amount of time that it takes you to play 18 at some courses in the heart of DFW.

Played first time 6-10-16... Apache Links... What an enjoyment to experience... Came as single hate playing alone, grouped up with coaching staff from Stephenville. Pro shop was very friendly. Now the course, I played from White tips, still very challenging, better be able to carry ball flight on all 2nd & 3rd approach shots. Fairways well kept and greens were fast, fun to putt. Par 3 are tough... Found back nine to be more difficult, especially when you factor in my short hitting... Otherwise great afternoon, if in area this is must stop! Play time: 4 1/2, 5 in group. Shot 97... 43 front, rest on back... Great time from Woodlands Texas...

Three friends and myself enjoyed the course 3/21 and 22 of17. We played the lakes Tuesday afternoon and came back for the other 18 Wednesday morning. The course was in fantastic shape and challenging enough to make you smile on every hole. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and no course can top them. Even with a 4 hour trip to get there, we WILL be back.

Played the links course today. AMAZING STAFF. Fairways have fun rolling hills. The greens are super fast and not flat at all. Very very very fun course. I didnt plan on making the drive back out to the course prior to playing because its about an hour away, but now I definitely plan to be back soon!

I just played the Apache Links and it was a wonderful golf course. Greens were fast and the ball rolled true. Interesting layout and very nice staff. I will be back and highly recommend.

This is a good course friendly staff recommended to any golfer Fairways were a little rough simply because the grass is cut and left in place.
