Ok a long time ago in a galaxy far away. Theaters use to run 35mm film to present movies to a crowd now days since the digital switch running a movie has become point shoot and play. Very low maintenance. Now back in the 80s and 90s Wehrenberg had a bad rep about them not taking care of their film allowing it to get dirty causing damage to the film. Also having poor maintenance on the equipment causing the same issues damaging the presentation and the viewing experience, but I digress. I went to see Jason Bourne tonight and of course paid for my ticket and hit the concession stand. Now before I mention this I am not upset with the concessionist because well the kid could have only been 16. I purchased a large soda and a dog. As I was walking out of line I noticed that they were selling Stat Trek Beyond Tins. I had a impulsive moment and decided to purchase one. So with new drink and dog in hand I walked up and said I would like to buy a tin. The guy behind the counter explains to me that I must buy another large soda and large popcorn to purchase the tin. Now just seeing me at the stand and making a purchase you would think they would be able to sell me the tin by itself, but from my read on the guy behind the counter there was no thought process on this. This is where you manager needs to educate the staff better on how to make a sell. I purchased the second drink and popcorn along with my first drink and dog for a guy that is clearly by himself for the night. At this point this only annoyed me. So I go to my auditorium #16 on the right. One of the smaller theaters. I take my seat and notice that the padding on the seat is horrible and move to another seat and notice the same ass groove and bar in my back, so I bite my tounge, and wait for the movie to start. The movie started exactly at 10p and I notice something instantly the picture was horriblely aligned it over shot on the masking about 2ft on the left side of the screen, at least 1ft on the bottom of the screen had no picture at all the right side of the screen had a foot over throw on to the masking and it appear to have a keystone in the picture as the top of the picture was at a angle. Now my issue is you dont have to build up prints any more you dont have to clean film any more I doubt you have even a full time projectionist on duty. All that is needed is to press play make sure your masking is set for 1:85 or scope and focus and volume. Whats the problem!?! For the prices I paid this explains why its better to take your money buy a good HD projector and just buy the blu ray. You going to save money in the end and I am willin to bet have a better presentation at home. Wehrenberg you need to step up your game... Highly Disappointed.

Well....tonight was terrible! I had personally...the WORST customer service experience of my life tonight. The old woman at the ticketing counter was extremely rude. Not only did she completely disregard me telling her how many people we had...she also shorted us a ticket. When I went back for it...she cut me off several times and then at one point YANKED!..the tickets out of my hand in an attempt to aggressively show me what she wanted to say. When I asked her not to grab stuff and there wasnt a need to be rude...she ignored me and talked over me...i looked to the young man next to her and he didnt seem to care that she was exhibiting the worst service ever! When she was done talking and finally handed me another ticket I told her no matter the case she didnt need to be rude...she said "well there was a misunderstanding". My response was ...."WOW". No time to talk to manager as my movie was about to begin. I thought about this the entire show...this was ridiculous.

I was a patron at Ronnies 20 Cine in South County on the afternoon of Dec 31st, as a tornado tore through the area. As this occurred, Ronnies management and employees took no regard for the safety of guests. The projectors paused, but no one came into the theater to give instruction or information. Several guests asked employees what was going on and they had no information. We were not ushered into the safety of hallways or told to take cover. Had the tornado that struck a couple of miles away hit Ronnies, the impact would have been horrible due to the lack of preparation and concern by Ronnies and its employees. The only information we received was when an employee informed us that they were restarting the movie. We learned of the tornado and distruction after leaving. I doubt I will visit this establishment again, due to the lack of regard for guest safety

When Wehrenberg was running this theater they were great. Since Marcus took over the place has gone downhill fast. We went to a movie a few months ago and we had to stand at the window for 10 minute because the computers kept crashing. You now have to reserve seats. We needed six tickets together but we were told they didnt have six seat together so the guy told me he could give me three together and the then the three seats right behind me. I said that would be fine. I got into the theater and noticed there were people in two of me seats. I looked at my tickets and he had given me five seats together and one by its self. Logic would dictate that youd tell a paying cusomer that instead of making the seat assignments. When I complained to the kid at the customer service desk I just got a blank stare and a shrug of the shoulders. I ended up seating by myself.

Marcus theaters has officially taken over Wehrenberg. There is a lot of renovations going on as far as the interior goes. The new concession stand is...interesting and features a few self serve fountain machines. Soo...yeah...expect to wait in two lines if you buy a soda. The new popcorn is so plain its just gross. They did install "dream lounger" seats. Which means there is RESEEVED SEATING. You dont get to just sit where ever you want anymore. Please, look at your ticket so you know what seat is yours! Red reclining seats...theyre very narrow and dont really lean back much compared to AMC Escquire theater. However they are more comfortable and clean than the previous seats. The rewards have been revamped too. Personally, Id recommend going to AMC from now on.

YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR SEAT. SO PLAN AHEAD!!!! I must recant my last review as this is no longer Wehrenberg, it’s Marcus Theater. And under the new management I can’t say I’m pleased. When it comes to prices I think it’s the same in comparison if not a little cheaper. But and this is big you have to reserve your seats now. To my knowledge this was never made clear to the public. So my husband and I decided to go watch a movie and was told the we could sit in the first row, or at the very top. On different ends of each other! So we decided to wait and hour for the next showing so that we could set together. Almost every person in front of us had this problem. Many left sadly! I hope all this construction pays off and this theater is like it once was!
