Played it on a March Friday afternoon and it was a great course. Very challenging. It would have been much easier to play had their GPS been any better than a text based system simply because you cannot tell exactly where the creek crosses the course. Every hole has a water hazard of some sort or the other and on practically half the holes you can see the flag or the green. For the price of 20$ plus tax (incl. gps and cart) it was great for a 1:36pm tee time which I booked online. When I went to pay at the pro shop, they wanted to charge me 39$ which I argued and they settled for $22 plus tax. Next week I tried booking a similar tee time for Friday and saw an online tee time at 2:12pm for 25$ plus tax (incl. gps and cart) and called them to book it through the pro shop and avoid what had happened before. They told me that it was $49 plus tax and when I told them their online system was showing $25, he suggested I get it online instead and hung up on me. I will probably not be using this course any time soon. It is a shame because once things develop up further north, there will be much better and newer golf courses with more recent gps technology and probably better customer service..nobody could be worse than them. In my ratings, the course gets a solid 4 out of 5. The customer service a 0 out of 5. On an average the Trails of Frisco Golf Club gets an abysmal 2 out of 5. Management heed up and clean up.

This course has the potential to be better, but falls short on several fronts. The course itself is an interesting track. Its very demanding with a lot of forced carries, blind shots, mounded greens and limited bailout areas. You have to use every club in the bag and it can be very penal if youre not an accurate golfer. But the challenging layout is hampered by the poor conditions. The greens were some of the slower/grainier ones in town. There was nothing more frustrating than hitting quality shots to get to the green - then having to hammer putts like you were on your living room carpet. The ToF service left a lot to be desired. The pro in the shop was an arrogant SOB who visibly annoyed by golfers asking about pin placements since it doesnt matter to 99% of golfers out there. He also thew in it mattered to him because he was scratch. On the plus side, the pace of play was surprisingly good and the grill had pretty good food. But as a golf experience it fell short. I doubt Ill be back...too many other good options out there.

My family and I played at the Trails of Frisco Golf Club yesterday and had a great time. We got the online special rate of $40pp and really enjoyed the course. I play off a 12 and can tell you that its a shot makers course (off the blues)... and some of the holes we picturesque. Course plays pretty tight so bring your A game (and extra balls). We chose to play here instead of Tribute (our normal choice of venue) and werent disappointed. Greens were smooth and run fast! Only slight negatives- a couple of the larger bunkers hadnt been raked at all and there were large footprints... I dont know if thats down to management or just patrons not doing their duty and showing course etiquette (assuming the latter). The other thing was that the bathrooms in the clubhouse smelled funky and it lingered out into the clubhouse... someone needs to looking into a better ventilation system but thats not a course issue. It really is a great track, at a great value. I recommend you check it out if you havent already.

I had the pleasure of playing this course and it ate my lunch. Long course so bring your best drives. This course provides lots of challenges and some tough holes. Well worth the price and has a nice driving range with good grass. I give the course a strong 9 out of 10. The older gentleman that checked me in was very nice and when he found out it was my first time there, gave me a course yardage book and a few tips on the course. I give the Proshop a 9 of 10. I went to the concession area in the club house and was not overly impressed with the female staff. They were talking amongst themselves and didnt stop to help me as a customer til they were done. And I wouldnt say their first area of interest is customer service. later i saw them sitting in the patio area by the putting green smoking cigarettes. i give the concession staff a 5 of 10.

I decided to bring my kids out to play golf and I live in Frisco so I decided to visit the Trails of Frisco, the course was in pretty good shape and after we played we went in the clubhouse for some snacks for my kids and a beer for myself. We were greeted by a very friendly bartender named Cheri, she was so kind to my kids and went out of her way to get them extra candy when they begged her, they were very happy she went out of her way, you know demanding kids can be. She even sat and talked with my kids for a bit, making them really enjoy the whole experience. I would recommend the Trails course for their quality golf course and exceptional service for their customers. I definitely will play golf there again and bring my kids back to play as well for a fun family experience!

Awesome! Bring ur A game, your gonna need it.. Beautiful lush fairways & greens, lots of undulation, slopes, bunkers & enough water to make you think twice about placing your tee shot in a reasonable position to hit greens in regulation. Longer hitting more advanced ball strikers should play back tees or tips to get your moneys worth. For the weekend golfer play it forward to keep a respectable scorecard & have a great time on one of the more challenging courses in town. Staff was great & pace of play was actually not bad for the weekend, be patient & use that extra few minutes for practice swings & developing a plan of attack for each hole... its worth it! Enjoy!

Bought a twilight round, but was forced to skip 5 holes due to poor pace of play by groups ahead, included an eight-some. Yes, 8 people in a single group. Course is challenging, and enjoyable, but if I start an afternoon round, I should be able to finish in around 4 hours with sunlight to spare. Marshalls didnt encourage slow players either. Dont go here during typical busy hours.

I play at The Trails of Frisco consistently all year round and Im not sure how anyone could think negatively about the course conditions. The tees, fairways, and greens were in perfect shape, no easy feat with the weather conditions we experienced in Texas. Customer service was good, not great, but for pure golf, The Trails of Frisco is as good as it gets.

What a disappointment. No service. Couldnt even get a towel to use to clean my clubs. Erosion, stagnant water, weeds, trash on course, no upkeep. An absolute goat ranch and an embarrassment to a community golf course. Not trying to be harsh, but felt the need for an honest call on this one.
