Generally, I really enjoy playing this course, and have it in rotation of my regular places that I like to play. The course features a great layout with several ponds and a creek that runs through it. The course has a good amount of elevation and rolling terrain on several holes, along with several very scenic views of downtown Dallas. Areas around the creek are heavily wooded, and can provide quite a challenge off of the tee box. This course is probably best suited for the intermediate golfer who is looking to utilize every club in their bag. I would also say that the course is also in pretty good condition (for a municipal course anway). Tee boxes, fairways and greens are always maintained, and if you search for the right deal you wont pay a fortune to play here. I definitely plan to play here throughout the summer.

My local course. Owned by the city of Irving. The city doesnt help maintain the course at all, which is a shame. The layout is great and great views of the Dallas skyline. When it rains it helps this course out a lot. But in the dry months it plays like a links course. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. Just wish the city would spend a little money and help improve it. Update 3/29/2016: As much as i hate to say this, I will ever play there again. This is no fairways, Tee Boxes, and the greens are not green, rough and sandy. I lost so many balls in the fairway cause the course is not being maintained. I was overcharge for twilight play. I didnt even play 8 holes before I called it quits. Fellow Golfers, save your money and go to elsewhere. Its a matter of time before its closed for good.

Very disappointed. A decent layout but the conditions are what you might expect to find in a deep country golf ranch. Greens were only decent but ran very slow. Fairways and tees are non-definitive and nearly bare of turf whatsoever. Carts were worn. There are some nice views and the staff is very welcoming. Maintenance seems severely neglected. Ive played other tracks nearby for less fees and much better experience. However, I didnt experience the stray dogs or flies that were mentioned several times previously. Im told there was a country club on this same site many years ago, but this is definitely one for the less serious player.

I agree with all the reviews, but what i disagree with is that they dont care. This course has been destroyed by the flooding in the last couple of years because it is in a flood plain and when the trinity floods it just creates irreparable damage. I will never play there again either, but its no surprise that they wont fix it. It is a financial money-pit.

Looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland from a zombie movie. Trust me, there is not good reason to play here. There are other options that are just as convenient and cheap, except that they actually water their grass. Also worth noting- the pictures of the course posted on their website are not actually pictures of the course.

The worst kept course in the metroplex. Its unfortunate that they care so little about the course because they layout is somewhat entertaining. Sadly there is trash everywhere, wild dogs roaming around and our cart ran out of juice on the 16th hole. Its not even that cheap so save your money and go walk any other course.

This past Sunday I played a few holes and a few holes were all I could take. As a golfer it is troubling to see the state of disrepair at Twin Wells. City of Irving do something either shutter it or commit resources to bring the golf course up to playable standards.

I do not play a lot of golf. I am not that interested in it. The place is well taken care of and I enjoyed the running through the course; the staff is wonderful and at least, the ones I dealt with, always had a smile on their faces. It IS a little pricey though.

Closed for renovations until Fall 2018, but its a great place to go and park away from everything if you need a quiet place to read, relax, check your phone, etc. Not very green...the grass hasnt been maintained...but the sunset views are gorgeous...

Agree with the post below....this course is definitely like Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. They clearly have not watered the course in quite some time when you have cracks in the earth that can swallow balls on the fairway.

Playing golf in a cow pasture would be an improvement. This golf course is located on a former landfill. It appears to be reverting back. I feel like I was robbed. Only played the front nine. Couldnt bear playing on.

This challenging 18 hole course is great for new and seasoned players. Lacking in trees it leaves some holes open to others. Great carts and service, well kept greens and tee boxes.
