I decided to take me and my family out to Family Kingdom for the fourth time this summer today just to be rudely turned away by a very obnoxious woman. My family and I live in Marion SC and have always received a local discount and have always showed my SC drivers licence showing my Marion address. This time I was told very rudely by a Very obnoxious woman that Marion was not local just Horry county and Georgetown which is even further than Marion is local. This did not make a bit of sense I told the obnoxious woman that I had just attended the park the previous Saturday with my family and received the discount and have so every other time that we had been to the park. After I told the obnoxious woman this she gave me a very ugly look and called me a lair, so I ask for her managers phone number she very rudely almost refusing retrieved me the number. I called the number, but received no answer and no reply what a surprise. To make a long story short after driving an hour to have a good time I was turned away with very disappointed kids by the rudest people I have ever encountered at a family establishment and will never return to the park again and do not recommend this park to anyone. Not only are the employees rude it is also dirty, trashy, unorganized with no lines people just cut right in front of you and no one around to do anything about it. I give this park ZERO stars and would rather chew on foil than return to this park.

Me and my husband decided we just wanted to go to the water park it had good reviews and it said it only cost $9.99 Plus tax only for water park , we get there to find out it would cost us 19.99 each play tax and it doesnt include the amusement park , it only cost 9.99 Plus tax if you buy the Cambo which is 34 and the 9.99 was if you come back the " next day "still have to pay the 19.99 the same day so that 9.99 is bs. we were like okay whatever we just want somewhere to relax in a clean pool. get the 2 for 19.99 cost us $38 since we are military. We get inside it cost us $5 for a small cubby and $10 for a big. We get inside looking for just a relaxing spot turns out its the SMALLEST "water park " I have ever laid eyes on. It had 3 slides that lead to a small pool that you can not swim in cause all the slides leads and could cause injuries. Then the "lazy pool" was so packed cause it was the only thing adults could really do other them sit and watch there kids, it was great for kids but they would have seen everything in less in 3 minutes and done with it And bored in 30 thats how long we stayed. We were very very disappointed. We spent way to much for such a crappy water park, if you are looking to wastes money go there , other then that go to the amusement park cause it was very big and nice just as expensive but LOTS more to do. I would recommend any other water park then here. Biggest rip off ever.

Terrible. If your child is anywhere near 36" tall your child will not be able to ride any of the rides. upon entry we measures our daughter and she was well above the 36" line which was the requirement for the kiddie rides. At each ride they measured her, at some she was an inch below the line, others she was right on the line- they would not let her on. At one ride she was on the line and they asked her to step to the right so they could measure her and the ground sloped down so she was no longer tall enough. None of the measure lines were consistent. My nephew went on one ride( they are the same height) and the next time around he was suddenly not tall enough anymore. Seems like a scam to me. My daughter were so excited to go just to be turned away. If you do go to family kingdom, be sure your child is well above 36" tall- maybe even 40 to be sure your child can ride. We were not the only ones who pointed out that their kids were "tall enough" by the ticket booth, but not for the measurements at the rides. Some ppl were even arguing with the attendants over it. Scam scam scam.

I love this place and so do the kids. Lots of family focused fun without having to deal with a bunch of lunatics going out of control in a drunken beach fest. But... Whatever you do, dont have a photo purchase sent to you. The help this year is under-trained and incapable of understanding their jobs, apparently. This was the first year my daughter was tall enough to ride their (excellent) roller coaster - she & I were beside ourselves with excitement. So, of course, we had to buy the photo of us in the front car, arms in the air, screaming with enthusiasm. Woohoo! Right? Nah... Forked over my $8 (or so) and was told my picture was on the way. Got the receipt, all that... Not that it matters - whoever the incompetent was who did the order screwed it up. And its not there. So, priceless memory is just that; a memory only. No one seemed to care and kept telling me the photo would be on the online site. So, management is, apparently just as incompetent as the employees... Otherwise, fun place. Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

my 15 and 13 year old liked it, but is probably the last time they go there. most of the rides are for smaller kids it seemed to them. wish the go carts were part of the wrist band. the wrist band is the best value if u are going to be there all day. especially because my kids rode the bumper cars like 5 times in a row. sometimes there were short short lines if there was a line at all, but it was kinda cold out (April 17) we did not buy the overpriced food, brought sandwiches in. my 15 year old passed for 18 to ride the ferris wheel, but i was right there and i think a nod of my head let the guy know that we were both aware that my kid was too young, but i was ok with it. i felt safe enough letting them go to the park by themselves after dinner, walking from our hotel. but it was a weeknight. might be a different crowd on the week end. they came back with large stuffed critters made in china. fun memories being made. thank you Myrtle Beach. :)

The rides are okay. Lines were short. But for 30 bucks, an all day pass will become very boring as you just ride the same rides over and over repetitively. It has basic amusement park rides, but nothing that really wows you. The reason I give it 1 star is not because the lack of rides and high admission price, its because the staff and faculty are very rude. They all had attitudes and short tempers. Very little patience. I wish I could have gathered names to report, but they flip their badges backwards just so you cant see their name. But these kids in front of us couldnt buckle themselves and she insulted them right in front of us. Save your money and do something else. Oh, and go carts arent included with your pass. Which was a bummer too. Luckily you arent trapped inside once youre there, you can leave and come back. So you arent forced to buy their 10 dollar burgers. Probably wont ever come back again.
