Enchanted forest: Amazing park. This park isnt the oldest or the biggest in the pacific northwest... Or the whole northwest if you count Silverwood... But it is probably the most underrated. I would have given it 5 stars but there are a few reasons I didnt... But first lets start with the positives: The family that created the park is still alive and you can still feel the full charm, The staff they hire are very friendly, and it feels more like a real enchanted place. I felt young as ever (Aside from my knees getting a little rugged from the hills...) and it isnt just the rides that are the fun of it. There was a little house with a wooden Slide... Which was VERY fast and fun... And I am an adult! They have those sack slides out of the shoe and just a bunch of fun little places to walk. Tunnels, the drunk house, the games and some of the little shows. (The fountain show was rad!) They also have a comedy theater which I didnt end up going to but it sounds pretty awesome. The log ride is actually a log ride and coaster hybrid. Meaning that the drops that you go through on them are actually pretty scary and fun for the adults but not too bad for the kids wanting to get their feet wet. The roller coaster there was fun too... But not their most thrilling ride... Fun for the kids but yea... Not for the thrill junky... Of course disneyland isnt really either... Not California adventure I am talking the actual park... Speaking of which Enchanted forest and the area seemed to have much more tourists and much more people due to Enchanted forests version of california adventure: Thrillville USA. (Closed in 2007.) Now the park flies solo. Anyways the challenge of mondor and the haunted house are pretty cool too... There is also no denying that even though it isnt the oldest park you can still tell that it is a classic... The ice mountain bobsleds from the 80s and the log ride from the 90s and the challenge of mondor from 2006... Anyways... So yes fun place for sure... Now for the negatives: THE PRICE THE PRICE THE PRICE! It is horribly expensive!!!!!!! You figure at the prices they charge they could open a new park where thrillville used to be or add some new rides or something! Sheesh! Is it worth it? Ehhh... I have to admit for the size of the park that is a VERY hard question to answer... And for only having 4 rides? Nah... Charging both admission and ride fees is actually a really crappy thing to do especially when you dont add anything new or take advantage of the space that opened up next to you... (Campground? New rides or a new add on to the park? Waterpark? Fire work show? SOMETHING could be done there!!!!! Rebuild the area there or add on to the park... Or the best thing: Bring those sky high prices down!!!!!!!! I would have given it 5 stars had I not had to pay 69.99 to get into a 4 ride theme park when I could pay less than 40 and go to oaks with more rides... Sure its smaller but I mean Wild waves even has a 10 buck admission in some parts of may and they have many more things there too... Heck they are bigger! Parks that charge a higher rate than here are usually thrill junkie paradises like Silverwood, Magic mountain, Great america and knotts berry farm... Anyways you get the point.)

There are countless reviews on this place and almost all of them are perfect or near-perfect I am definitely going to be a lemming following in line. I took my family here for the first time since moving to Oregon and oh my is it the most perfect place for a family with Children of a certain age which things to be roughly 4 to eight years old I would say. Compared to other theme parks and attraction type places this place is immensely affordable even though it does seem a little weird at first to pay to get in and then pay once again to do rides. If you are more budget-conscious there are many ways to make things cheaper and there are tons of free things to do once you pay to get in and for everything else you can either buy tickets for a buck apiece or buy a bracelet if you really want to write a bunch of stuff. I would say to double-check your childs height though to make sure they can do everything because it would suck to buy a bracelet to find out they can only write a few things due to size. My kid had so much fun doing the kiddie rides such as the bumper boats and frog jumper and the train. Also all the random tunnels and caves and buildings and whatnot that you can go in are really cool and theres even a water fountain show they can go and watch while eating inexpensive food which is rare for an attraction to have affordable food. I do want to know as well that in addition to having incredibly nice staff they also are just a very ethical place in general. If you buy too many tickets you can turn them in for a refund or if you buy a kiddie ride bracelet and decide you want to upgrade the bracelet to all the rides they dont make you pay the full amount for another bracelet you just pay the difference. They just seem like a very nice place to deal with if you have any issues. We finished our day by writing the marquee ride Ice Mountain and I mean compared to Disneyland and other multimillion-dollar properties its kind of underwhelming but for a local theme park like this it is actually quite fun and worth the ride. I could go on and on about this place but I will stop it here and just say please please support this place and take your family here if you live anywhere remotely close.

LIMITED staff during the week days in May. I took my 2 year old daughter on a Monday and was very disappointed by the lack of staff on hand. Only 3 staff members to run 6 Kiddie Rides. My daughter was too short to go on most of the rides... She only went on The kiddie train. Cost $4.00 since I was required to ride also. It was NOT WORTH IT since it only made two very quick runs around the little track. I was not willing to pay $12.50 for two kiddie ride bracelets for us to repeatedly ride the Kiddie train. My advice bring your own food and drinks. I brought a cooler of drinks but needed to purchase food for lunch. Due to the lack of staff the ONLY place to purchase food was the "Jolly Roger Inn" We were served a COLD hot dog $2.50 and a lukewarm pizza $5.95 We did enjoy the Comedy Theatre. The actors performing "Snow White and the Seven Dorks" were VERY funny! My daughter enjoyed panning for gold... she bought home several pretty rocks. My daughter had fun waking through Storybook Lane and going down both the witches slide and big shoe slide. If you are bringing a wide stroller it wont fit through some of the buildings along Storybook Lane. Ive been here many times since I was a child myself and now as an adult pushing a stroller up the hills is exhausting. Most of the souvenirs are very affordable... toy cars, stuffed animals, jewelry, candy... they even have the pricey but delicious Moonstruck chocolates.
