I ordered a hat from Colorado Skies Outfitters which is now Minturn Anglers. There was a little confusion and I didnt receive the hat, so I called back and they told me that the hat was sold out, so I picked out the same hat, with a different color scheme. I called them back immediately and told them what hat I wanted. Four weeks later I called them back because I was now back at school and my Mom did not see the hat at the house. I immediately received a refund without a question. Aaron and Theo, both who work in the shop were understandable and very helpful guys. I also emailed the owner, Dave, and he told me that they were in the transition of changing the shop. We emailed each other back about the situation. For everything that was mixed up, it was a very smooth fix. Dave and his team are the type of guys that we need more of in the Fly Fishing Industry; they care about their customers. If you make your way through Minturn, CO make sure you stop by the shop, you wont be disappointed!

Staff and guides were enthusiastic and friendly from the moment we walked in. They got us outfitted (providing boots and waders) and all the paperwork processed (dont forget driver license) quickly so we could get right out to the river. Tom Rushlow, our knowledgable guide, gave us a crash course in the basics of fly fishing while en route to our destination and once situated in the water, demonstrated proper fly fishing techniques. He spent time with each of us individually and was detirmined to help us hook a fish. I had no expecations of catching anything, but was thrilled when I caught 3 brown trout, which he photographed and emailed to us later. We had a wonderful day full of beautiful mountain scenery, eagle soaring overhead, fresh air and exhilarating fishing. Thanks Tom you truely made our trip one to remember!

Guadalupe and I have fished with many companies over the past 20 years. We have never had a better experience that that with Minturn Anglers. Bob, Scott, Duane and Luke are professional guides who never tire of showing us a better way to have a good time on the river. Scott spread out one of the best lunches we have experienced. Although we have been to Vancouver, Banff, Jackson and Aspen the fish we have fought with Minturn have been a cut above. Guadalupe is always victorious. We had the opportunity to enjoy a float trip on the Roaring Fork River with Minturn Anglers Guide Bob Streb. He did an outstanding job making our trip a very memorable one. His patience, knowledge of the river, and guidance allowed us to enjoy maximum time fishing. The shop in Minturn was also very helpful. They recommended several areas to fish and helped with the fly selection and my rod setup. I have fished with different guide services all over the country for all types for fish and will definitely return here and would recommend this group for any trip you plan.

I took the Two-Day Weekend Fly-Fishing School and I cant say enough about the experience. I have never been taught anything as well as Erin Hale taught the class. He was incredibly thorough, entertaining, and passionate. The second day was all on the river with a 3:1 guide to student ratio. If you have always considered fly-fishing you absolutely should take this class. If you are already a fly-fishermen I highly recommend visiting their shop where you will find extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable anglers to assist you.

My wife, son & I fished the Eagle River with guide Ben Piekarz. We were from out of town, so Ben got us all set up with waders and fly rods (supplied by Minturn Anglers). Ben was very knowledgable about the waters, patient, and rigged all the flies that we needed. After a little practice, and Bens excellent instruction we all were catching rainbow and brown trout on nymphs, later we caught some on dry flies. Our day trip was great fun, and I would certainly recommend Minturn Anglers. We will be back out there in 2016.

We booked a horseback, guided fishing trip through Minturn Anglers, which cost $700 for two people and one day. The guide, Micheal, showed up hung-over complaining hed rather be in bed, spent the first half of the day focused on himself. Then served us ham sandwhiches and warm gatorade for lunch (for $700!!!!??). A rod broke and, of course, Micheal did not bring any spares; so, my wife and I took turns fishing. Good thing she brought a book...

I have been using Matt and crew for many years for fly fishing. They have always been great. All the guides have been very professional and engaging. Whether it be for a company event or for my teenage daughters and my wife. Recently, I was able to go on an Elk archery hunt with them. Quite frankly, a trip of a lifetime. Couldnt ask for a better experience. Our guide Tom was awesome, super knowledgeable put us on some great water and lots of fish. He was very patient with a great sense of humor. Other shops can be pretentious, but all are welcomed at Minturn Anglers. I highly recommend stopping by the Minturn shop before heading out to the river for the day, theyll set you up for success!
