This is totally unacceptable. A night spent out with friends that is supposed to end in a sense of excitement and happiness is cut short because the manager of this establishment could not handle a negative review on his/her respective establishment. Someone writes and publishes a review out of honesty and pure treatment. The treatment expected at a place of business which has a cover charge and multiple security individuals employed was not met. My fellow party member was forcibly removed from the establishment because she had posted a negative review a year ago. The establishment treated her badly and unlike a business that deserves respect. I will not be going there again.

Honestly coconut Joes is fun. But I was thrown out for leaving an honest review of resolutions. The manager asked me for my ID and said "you were the one who left the bad reviews, you have to leave." So I left peacefully. I asked if I could get my friends, and he said no. So I stood outside and called my friends. He then continued to berate me about how I left a bullshit review, which is not the case. For a place with cover charge Im confused how you can throw me out for leaving a bad review of an associate bar. If you would like to go this establishment keep your opinions of concern about young women freezing to death to yourself about it or any of its associate bars.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. My girlfriends and I had VIP bottle service for my bachelorette party and the bouncers kicked us out because the bartender wanted her friends to have the VIP section! They brought us our bottle and mixers then told us that we werent suppose to be there. Not to mention they charged us $200 for a half bottle of Captain Morgan that they ripped out of our hands! Never experienced such poor service in my life!

This bar has a lot of potential but doesnt really stand out menu wise from any other Erie bar. If you like domestic beer this is your place, $18 will get you 6 Lite bottles. The mixed drinks are not anything special but are decent. If youre looking for fresh lime juice and contreau in your margaritas this is not your bar...but to be fair this place gets packed. If youre looking for live music and a DJ Coconut Joes has both.

I think this bar has a great atmosphere and I love the fire pits at the seating area. Really beautiful tiki bar. The problem is that the allow way too many people in and it gets so full of people that its impossible to walk around, everyone is shoulder to shoulder. I waited over a half hour for a drink but there were so crouded. Its one thing to be busy but there should be a croud capacity set.

I waited for over 20 minutes without being acknowledged by one of the 5 plus bartenders working that night. The security at the entrance was more concerned about letting off fireworks than actually being security. If I had one and wanted to, I could have snuck in a gun due to their lackluster security. I will not be going back to that place ever again

the bartenders were pretty rude to me and my friend when we asked for a drink menu and even more rude when we tried to order some drinks we saw online and said they didnt have them. I dont think I would go back and would not recommend it to anyone

It doesnt even feel like youre in a city when you are there. It feels like you are far away from civilization. The staff is awesome and there is a little something for everyone (there are 3 other bars in the attached Boardwalk Complex).

Probably the best club in Erie. Overall the bartenders are pretty good prices are reasonable and music is ok.... I think if they played better dance music and more of a variety they could have the dance floor jumping non stop.

Coconut Joes is always super packed, you cant get a drink from the bar, people are fighting/ hitting eachother every night, theres a cover charge, theres never an open table, and the bathrooms are disgusting and dirty.

Cool to see a seasonal bar thats normally closed, spontaneous open to take advantage of a bit of warmer weather. Kudos Cant wait for summer to see this place fire up at full speed!
