My grandson recently married the love of his life, they choose the Copper Nickel for the event. The venue was beautiful and the building restoration added so much to the theme of the wedding. The brides dressing room was elegant and beautifully decorated. The owners went the extra mile to help with decorations, set-up, and clearing the ice and snow from the walkways. The owners were generous with their time, their attention to detail added so much to the event. The Bride is truly gifted with an eye for decorating. As you can see in the pictures posted, the venue was a perfect setting. The Bride was breathtaking, the Groom was handsome, and the decorations reflected their love for each other. The wedding ceremony was fabulous. My husband and I are share this information because we believe it is important when reviewing a venue to separate the venue from the guests attending the event. During the wedding reception, there were issues with some of the children attending the event. Many of the children were unsupervised and ran through the reception hall being loud and rowdy. They knocking over decorations, ran into guests, were very disruptive, etc. Many of the guests asked the children to settle down, however, they would not listen. One of the boys went so far as to run his fingers through the icing on the wedding cake for a quick taste; this same young man pulled one of the flower girls hair and jerked on her arm till she was in tears. The rowdy boys then went into the mens bathroom where they proceeded to fill the toilets with paper and generally trashing the restroom. While these events were taking place the guest and their parents were busy visiting and eating. The hostess and many of the guests tried without success to get the children to settle down. The hostess came across as being rude however, I think the proper description of her reaction should have been described as "fed-up" with bad behavior (she was not alone, there were many guests who made comments about the undisciplined children as they were leaving.) Towards the end of the event, the hostess caused some of the wedding party to become upset with her. The hostess allowed her frustration to spill over on to the guests. However, the wedding party did not see behind the scenes that lead to her frustration. The hostess has found new employment. To my husband and me, it is important that we share our views about the Copper Nickel. We felt that the owners of the Copper Nickel were fantastic to work with, that the Copper Nickel is a beautifully restored building that offers a unique atmosphere for any family’s special event. We understand that the Bride and Groom were very happy with their wedding and reception, after all, isn’t that what it’s all about?

Beautiful Venue but the company was very hard to work with. We had to call several times with no call backs to follow up with Sheri. Sheri must not write anything down, when trying to get our layout for the tables we had to explain over 5 times what we were wanting. (You are paying mostly for tables.) She also thought we wanted a projector screen when we had said we do not want that multiple times. When we went to go set up our decorations they were not there to meet us after reiterating multiple times when we would arrive. Sheri was passive aggressive the whole night and kept explaining we would need more tables. (We have hosted this party every year and have had the same layout for the past three years.) When getting ready in the bridal suite she burst in without knocking to explain she was leaving and the hostess would be there soon. (The hosted was over an hour late.) I would not recommend using this company.

I give venue 3 stars because the building is AMAZING !! This made my wedding. The downside is the staff stinks ! The owner needs to get organized and remember or write down what people are requesting and what she is telling people. The wedding was the same day as a major event in Ogden and roads in front and in back of the venue were closed, until I made mention of this she did not say a word to me about it. The assistant went out of her way to be a royal pain in the ass through my entire wedding, she kept turning the music down to the point that while dancing my first dance with my husband, I though the music stopped ! While on my honeymoon I received multiple phone calls from her accusing me of stealing things, she even went as far as calling the cops on us for stealing something that her assistant took !

Great company party venue, They hosted 160 of our associates from the Home Depot for a company Christmas Party. We had lots of people rave about how unique the building was. The clean-up and technical guidance crew we had were great with making sure all our audio went smoothly and they made sure we had a good amount of trash cans to make clean up easy. They had 24 tables already set up for us right at 6pm (which is when we were to arrive to decorate). Thanks to their preparedness we were able to set up in 30 mins and we actually ended up leaving earlier than planned. They also recommended courses catering for our food, which was also a huge hit. I would definitely recommend this venue and will probably use it again in the future!

The venue is beautifully done. The historical aspect of this place is awesome. The downside to this venue is they dont have any parking. We had several guests get parking tickets. Also, the event coordinator was very unprofessional and extremely hard to deal with. She started cleaning up before the reception was over. She was very short with our help and kept yelling at the grandkids of our kitchen help. She locked the doors as we were trying pack things out to the cars. We tried to prop the doors open she took the prop out and yelled at us for it. We overall had an ok experience with the venue.

The copper nickel was the perfect venue to have our wedding. It was exactly the atmosphere I was looking for. We did both our ceremony and reception here. Sheri and everyone were great to work with. The room for the bride to get ready in was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place for your next event.

Was at a wedding here. It is brick inside and cement floor. They did a nice job decorating. The sound was a big problem we couldnt hear anything from a mic and speakers. Speaking without a mic wasnt much better we were close for the speeches but couldnt hear them.

The food was great, but they dont serve alcohol. The inside of the building looks like it needs some work. The floors are cement. It looks like it could be a great concert venue, not a restaurant.

There is more you can do with this venue. Seems kinda rundown and unmaintained, and certainly pricy place given what you get.

Here for a wedding, spacious and well maintained. I would consider this for other private events if I were in the area.
