My sister-in-law and I arrived at the Cornelius theater excited to see our movie. We walk up to the ticket box office and there is no one in sight. After waiting a couple of minutes we decide to walk in and try to find someone to take our money so we can go watch our movie that is about to start at any moment. We wave down a couple of the employees and asked them who we can pay for the movie? One of the employees says " just a second" and runs back to a office next to the snack bar. Then comes out and tells us to wait a minute someone will be out to help us. Umm...O-k? So we wait again. While waiting another 5-10 minutes 2 other ladies show up to pay for the same movie and still no one comes out! So finally my sister in law and I say " our movie is about to start were going in to watch the movie when it is over well come back out and pay for it!" The 2 other ladies also follow us in. After the movie we go out and Miracle! There is someone in the box office this time. We pay for our movie and we get no apology, nothing! The 2 other ladies that came in with us probably just left without paying. This theater is run by a bunch of teenagers that have no clue what is going on! There was popcorn all over the floor in the lobby and as we walked in to our movie it smelled like a giant bathroom! Very disappointing visiting this theater! Need to find some better management!

Went last night to try and watch the revenant when we walked in lobby there were about 6 employees at the concession stand just standing around talking one was even the manager I think there was one gal running the cash register and someone else getting drinks etc meanwhile were still waiting mind you we are next in line the couple ahead of us is done when they walk away a young kid comes up and waves register gal over she ignores us and walks over to him meanwhile manager gal standing right next to her doesnt say anything we couldnt believe it so we started to walk out they just look at us and let us go smilin the whole time they were all very rude have never been treated like that we got to car and I had to go back in and ask if they even knew why we walked out they just smiled very poor customer service it will take alot to get us back in your theatre if at all !!! Hi Robert Im gonna keep this short the demanding customer was a friend not customer the manager wasnt managing and no nacho machine being installed we were treated very poor that evening and coming from someone who also works in customer service let me say you dont treat customers that way!!

Today June 5th 2016 my husband and I were celebrating his birthday so he wanted to watch one of his favorite movies Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, so we took a toddler baby girl and a 18 month old baby boy they both also like ninja turtles movies, as we walk to the lobby for some refreshing drinks we asked for one large drink for hubby and me also two slushy blue drinks for both of them, but she only give us one full one and the other cup wasnt completely full thats when We both asked her if that slushy was going to cost less than the other one, her reaction was that she could put it on a smaller cup there was something wrong with their slushy equipment, for my surprise she did it again it was not properly filled up I mention it to her but she ask me if I didnt wanted, wow how can they treat people like that, we are the customers and we deserve some respect.

Enjoyed my experience last night except something was wrong with the sprites we had. One friend had a small Sprite and said it was fine. I had a large and it didnt quite taste right, but I was thirsty so I drank it anyway. Big mistake. I started feeling weird partway through the movie, then my mouth got extremely dry and nothing would help. Even now almost 24 hours later the dryness is still lingering! My eyes also dialated really large and I couldnt sleep at all last night. I looked like I was on drugs. I now also have a headache. Another friend also had a large Sprite and hers tasted so terrible nobody would drink it. (She didnt bring it up until after mine was gone or I wouldnt have drank mine.) Maybe we just had the end of a batch or something, I have no idea what it could have been caused by, but being miserable since then has certainly put a damper on my experience!

Showed up at 6 to watch the 3D Captain America with my son, Was told that matinee prices end at 6. Fair enough, I wouldve e been fine with that if the 3 kids in front of me in line had paid at all, their buddy works there so they just walked him in. Actually stopped the line to walk them inside and past their manager who stood there tearing tickets doing nothing. Clearly she sees this all the time. Picture was fine, sound was good, popcorn was room-warm but tasted OK, Theater was clean. Just couldnt get over those kids just getting to walk in while i was paying over 12$ a ticket. Guess i need a friend in the theater business EDIT: removed another star because the icee machine has been broken for the better part of a year.

They always have the new movies, the atmosphere in the lobby feels relaxed, and their bargain night is excellent. Ive seen a lot of movies here since the first time I visited, which was a first date of a relationship thats going on 4 years now... so I get warm fuzzy feelings every time I go. Their prices on concessions are pretty average but a small soda and a small popcorn are definitely a good portion of each. My only complaint is that the seats dont exactly cater to people with larger butts & hips, but putting the armrests up helps, and even if thats not a problem for you, you can sit closer to your sweetheart that way. Not at all a deal breaker, Im sure I will continue to see many more movies here.

I saw Jurassic World there earlier this year and thought the theater was nice and clean and is an awesome looking theater with all the memorabilia but I was disappointed by the THX sound. I am used to the famous THX ear splitting sound but it sounded so...average. Almost tame. I traveled from Salem to see if it were worth to go there for the Star Wars: the Force Awakens premiere but ultimately decided against it. I called Cornelius 9 Cinemas before I went to Jurassic World to find out the last time it was calibrated and was told that a THX sound engineer reviews it every Thursday. After hearing it I am not convinced. Would love to try it again it if I knew that the sound was up to standard.

Love this theater and would have given it 5 stars, but a recent snafu has tempered my enthusiasm. We showed to a ~9 showing for a movie - but it turns out that time slot was a outdoor drive in the side parking lot... in the rain.. and it wasnt really dark out yet. Online there was no notification this was not in the normal theaters - we had to travel 15min away to another theater. I dont mind them having an outdoor drive in - but somehow they need to clearly mark those show times - so we dont waste our time driving out there. I dont want to sit outside in my car on a rainyday running the engine to keep me warm.
