One time a truck but a deer in the dinosuars mouth outside the place. this made for an awsome pic. This place is on an awsome strech of highway (even though it gets bad during a storm) that features views of humbug mountain, and old smuggling cove that is home of the "Devils Mouth." This is some of the beautiful still wilder-than-wild oregon coastline. Some campground are near: Arizona Beach and Humbug Mountain, for those who arrive too late and would like to stay over. Wildberries, rock formations, and solitude for those looking. The attraction its-self is worth the stop. As i say, "id do anything twice."

The first time I attended Prehistoric Gardens was on a family vacation when I was 12 years old. The next time I went I took my wife there when I was 34 years old. Ive been there a couple of times since. I love this place. It is a great place to stop after a long drive on the Oregon coast. The rain forest is always cool and beautiful. The trail is short enough that anybody can enjoy it. I recommend this with your children, or if you just need a break. The staff is very dog friendly too! They will invite you to take your dog on the trail too. Its just a great place!

Dont just drive on by, as I did for years. Stop and experience this marvelous, enchanting place that will change you forever. Nestled in lush old-growth forest, the founder constructed and painted statuary of many of our favorite dinosaurs with easy-to-read signs describing their histories and habitats. A pathway takes you through lush ferns, tall trees, and a delicious silence found only in such a place. A place for the present to savor our past. I love this attraction and am grateful for the loving care given in its planning and construction.

I stopped here on my ride out of Port Orford, OR. The woman inside is very nice and there are many cool rocks, gems and other cool things and the place is very kid friendly as well. The prices are very reasonable besides the drinks and snacks, but the rocks and souvenirs are really cool. I would have bought some but everything I buy I carry up hill and on my bike rocks and souvenirs dont help! I recommend this place but beware it is a RAINFOREST! (200cm or more rain annually) Bring your storm clothes if you brave this place in thr winter!

Dont pass this by. You could write this off as being another hokey roadside attraction... and it is, but its also a lovely respite from driving. A trail winds through the cool, dark woods, with occasional life size statues of dinosaurs. At the same time there are signs along the way that teach about local geology and history (some not so prehistoric). The grounds are well maintained, but not so much as to look artificial.

Full sized replicas of dinosaurs, including some Id never heard of, and very informative - good for kids who just want to see the dinosaurs and those wanting to learn more about them. Also has some huge plants and information about them. The staff were friendly and there are comfortable seats out front for resting or just hanging out.

I think small children would enjoy the dinosaurs that are in the trail. I had 2 15 year olds with me. One of them had been there as a small child so it was very nostalgic otherwise I think they would have been bored. My 9 year old nephew thought this was the neatest thing since sliced bread when I showed him the pictures.

Even though my family and I have driven by here thousand of times, we stopped by here on my visit home. The dinosaurs are amazing considering how old they are. The woman at the front desk was actually the granddaughter of the fellow who started it. Excellent walk and a fun gift shop to follow!

It was not my first choice to go here but my fiance wanted to. It was great - the sculptures were in great shape, the staff was wonderful and it was fun to walk through the rain forest (Ps- staff provides you with umbrellas).

We arrived hours after the posted closing time but the lady at the ticket window very kindly invited us in. The grounds are breathtaking. The dinosaurs are starting to show their age but we enjoyed our visit all the same.

I visited the Prehistoric Gardens when I was 15. That was over 45 years ago. I have always remembered what a great place this was. It was through these life size replicas that I grew to love the history of the dinosaurs.

No matter what you are doing, if you happen to be driving past here or are close by you should definetly check this place out! It is very fun, not too long of a walk and has a cool gift shop at the end! Super rad!

I like this place because you can get nice pictures of the dinosaur, like how it was. Sorry I dont have any pictures but it worth the price to go in, ask about a discount if you have a large family.

Awesome attraction. Well worth the stop. Was on tour with my company Dragon Theater Puppets performing my new show: I Dig Dinosaurs and had to get a picture of my T-Rex next to the big one.

This is a great hike for both young and older visitors. Paths well groomed easy slopes. The dinosaurs are vibrant and the information provided is easily understood by kids.

We loved this place. Unfortunately we did not have our kids, which was fine as we enjoyed it but the good news is we liked it so much we will definitely be back. A must see

I loved the smell the most and how small the life size dinosaurs looked among those giant trees, it really put things in perspective The smell is unforgettable though..

Adorable place. Natural setting helps make the life-sized dinosaurs even more life-like. A pleasant surprise during our road trip. Looks to have been made with love.

Great time very pretty great place to wander a little pricey for the amount of time you can spend there. Some maintenance on the sculptures would be appreciated.

Very cool! As you walk through the gardens, you can read about the history of plant and animal life while viewing amazing replicas of prehistoric creatures.

Kitschy dinosaurs in a rainforest setting. A bit expensive at $12 per adult, but a nice diversion on a long drive. Fun place to stretch your legs.

Stumbled upon this on a road trip down the Oregon coast and thought it was awesome. Life size dinosaurs and pretty good times to be had here.

Its a little cheesy but a nice stroll through the redwoods and a good way to break up a drive. Kids who are into dinosaurs will like it a lot.

Would have been better if there was audio of dinosaurs. Plan to pay $$ for a family. Too expensive. Take young children not teens.

Pretty cool but very short. The kids loved it but amount of value for dollar spent is low. We were thru it in 15 mins or less.
