“VERY DISTURBING EXPERIENCE -DO NOT STAY AT THIS CLARION , SAVE YOUR MONEY.”. The word Horrible does not justify my stay at this Clarion in West Springfield. After we checked in on a Friday night, we received a warm welcome with the entire hotel smelling like pot, I guess you have the drug lords staying at this hotel. I thought it was a non-smoking hotel. On the other hand we were disturbed at midnight by Kids beyond control running up and down the hallways yelling and screaming. I could not sleep until 2 AM, and I told my husband we should leave and stay elsewhere, but my husband said it will be okay, as we will change our room tomorrow morning. I guess not!! I was woken up by kids running and yelling in the hallways at 6:00 AM. The next day once we got our room changed, I dont even know where to begin. The so called “water park” is a pool with 3 slides and a spray pad which just for elementary kids. The pool was way over crowded and there were hardly enough life guards on duty to monitor the kids, for the amount of people in the pool. All the management is trying to do is sell tickets to the so called water park and pack the pool like SARDINES. It is against health codes that the pool was dirty with floating debris in the water and the water was very cloudy (Milky) indicating that there is not enough disinfectant. The Arcade is a big Joke. Almost all arcade games in the game room were broken or out of service and could not be used. The arcade games have been broken when we had visited in February. Looks like management does give a damn, all they keep saying is we are SORRY, but nothing is done or fixed. I don’t know what is going on with the management, but this hotel is going down the drain. We had visited this hotel last year in the summers and had a great experience. We loved our stay and enjoyed the pool. I don’t understand what has happened to this beautiful hotel. Did the ownership or management change? Today this Clarion has become a hotel from “HELL” This hotel is filthy with garbage found everywhere. In addition to that on Saturday night when I returned back to the hotel in the evening, the garbage was packed and over flowing. After struggling with my key to open door # 2 entrance, the hotel reeked of pot, and there were several boxes of pizza on the floor in the hallway and pool towel. Finally to top it all there was a young man who extremely intoxicated and could barely walk wandering the halls of your hotel. So, as you can imagine I will not ever recommend your facility. This is the worst experience I have ever had at this Clarion and I am will never come back.

My family and I recently stayed at the Clarion and Aqua Lagoon Waterpark located in West Springfield, MA, which is part of the Choice Hotels chain. We recently purchased season pass tickets to Six Flags and this was the first of our many trips to your area. I was excited for our trip because the kids had never been to Six Flags and your hotel included an indoor waterpark, restaurant, and bar, however our stay was not as it was depicted online. We booked our room to stay on the 13th and 14th of August, but only stayed the night of the 13th. We stayed in a suite with two floors (room 144). We arrived to the room around 9:30pm on the 13th after being up since 4am that same day due to our travel. When I first walked into the room, I noticed stains all over the couch as well as a dirty bathroom. After a long day of travel and the day spent at Six Flags, we came back all wanting to take showers and relax only to notice half of the white bath towels stained with light brown spots. It was late and we all wanted to relax and watch TV, but could not knowing how dirty it felt inside the room, especially with the visible stains all over the sofa. We all were thirsty and went to use the vending machines and none of them worked as well as the ice machine closest to our room. Half of the arcade games did not work, which added to the list of frustrations. I had to drive to the gas station nearby to buy drinks and snacks after I had already changed into my night clothes. The next morning, we checked out the waterpark from our balcony and there was food all over the carpet of our balcony and it looked like the glass hadn’t been cleaned in over a year. Even the stair ways were dirty and our entrance to the hotel (3) had an overfilled trashcan spilling trash all over the ground. We have been staying in your chain of hotels for more than ten years and have never had such a horrible experience. We paid $200 for this room and all we wanted to do was relax and enjoy our stay. I am asking for a full refund for the inconveniences and unsanitary conditions . I am hoping with this letter that these issues are fixed and it doesn’t happen to another family on their vacation.

UNSAFE !!!! HOTEL FROM HELL!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I would not give this hotel even a 1 star.This hotel is terrible. After waiting for 30 minutes at the front desk my Girlfriend was finally check-in. But when we entered our room, smelled like cigarettes and had stained sheets. Absolutely nothing works. The night stand light bulb was burnt out, Hot Water in the room was just luke warm, the desk chair in the room was broken, the bath tub had hair and mold. My A/C was kind off working but sounded like a Truck. The electric is all broken and flickers. Thank God our room has electricity but only when it wants too.. I am not a complainer, but I finally lost it, When I went to unplug my phone charger, the outlet sparked ,got all black and I got zapped. When I informed the desk, I was told that management is aware about it, as it has happened in the past with other guests. But maintenance is not available now and will fix it tomorrow. When I asked to change my room, they said they dont have any as they are sold out.. I could not believe that I was paying money to stay in this room from hell. It was around 11:30 pm and my little child was woken up from Children running, yelling and screaming in the hallways knocking on room door and throwing ice cubes on the carpet making it unsafe to walk the hallways. Im going to go out of my way to never stay in a Choice owned hotel. I choose to stay at this hotel as I had stayed at this hotel last summer and enjoyed my stay everything was perfect and working. But now this hotel is an absolute joke. On top of that the hotel is filthy and trash every where, carpets are stained and to top it of I had ants in my room.Looks like management does not care any more like they used too!! The hotel smells of POT, no matter where you go. I thought it was a non-smoking hotel for families. BIG MISTAKE!!!!. I would rather stay in my car, which is a lot cleaner and safer then stay at this hotel. MY advise to other travelers " SAVE YOUR MONEY & STAY SOME ELSEWHERE".!!!!
