The new Xscape Theater located in Northgate is spectacular. This independent chain opened its second theater in the Cincinnati area, and it is absolutely worth the price. The theater has the standard concessions (popcorn, candy, nachos, etc.) and the now standard self serve soda fountains. There are 14 screens, but each of them have amazing leather reclining seats with leg rests. These are by far the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. Plus the reclining feature is electronically controlled by the simple push of a button. I recently saw "Jupiter Ascending" in one of the two Xtreme Xscape Auditoriums, and the screen is larger than life. The screen is around 70 feet, which makes it even taller than Springdale Cinema De Luxs IMAX screen. The sound is fantastic as there are multiple overhead speakers in the theater, which gives the moviegoers excellent surround sound. Their discount day is on Tuesday, and their senior discount day is on Wednesday. The theater is connected to the Northgate Mall, but you do not have to go through the mall to get to the theater. Parking is easy and efficient as there are many spaces available. Movies are meant to be seen on the big screen while still providing comfort to the average moviegoer, and Xscape Theaters Northgate 14 easily accomplishes this. I will definitely come back to Xscape Theaters, especially when the summer movie season kicks off.

My first visit was nice... However after visiting for the opening night of Straight Out Of Comptom, I left very disappointed. It was modern day racism at its best. The same racism that was depicted in the movie itself. Why was there more police this night then ever before I had visited. TARGEDTED RACISM. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it was all a coincidence...NOT! There were two officers posted at the entry doors of the NWA movie only! And Why! This just shows the continued racism that reigns not only in our city, but in our country. You might as well had just broadcast that the hip hop community doesnt know how to act, theres no way that they can come to the movies and behave. I left very angry and will not EVER support this theatre again and will tell my friends and family not too as well. Thanks for nothing.

I really enjoyed this theater!! I recently went for a screening and it was so awesome! Their concessions were awesome and had tons of great options, free refills of drinks from a separate soda dispenser, and a place where you can add your own butter to your popcorn! However, while the concessions were great, the theater I watched the movie in exceeded my expectations! The screen was huge and the sound was really well done as they had a really good mix from all of the speakers. But the best part were the chairs, which were more like La-Z-Boy recliners than your traditional stadium seating because they had the ability to lay back with a foot rest that popped up and they were unbelievably comfortable! Overall, I was really pleased with the experience and I am really excited to go watch another movie in the theater!

I recently saw "Jupiter Ascending" at the New Xscape Theater in Northgate. I was totally surprised once I got into the theater to view the movie. The seats were terrific! They are electrically reclining seats with the leg rests. I have never been to a theater with these kinds of seats, and I have been to many movie theaters all around the United States. The lobby is very spacious with an airy feeling. The movie staff was very kind and gracious. I heard this is the second Xscape Theater in the United States, and I am so glad the owner chose the Cincinnati area. I live on the east side of town near Hyde Park, but the ride is definitely worth it. I love this theater, and I will definitely be going to other screenings here. I have been spreading the word about this fantastic theater.

First and foremost I typically do not go to the movies. However this theater is very very clean, the staff is extremely friendly and quick service is always on point. The actual viewing rooms are spacious, the seats are comfortable and there is plenty of walking room even with the seats reclined. The sound system is awesome and the screens are a fantastic size and resolution. However, prices on snacks are through the roof. At the time of this posting [3/15/16] a medium popcorn and medium drink is roughly $17.00. Which is OUTRAGEOUS. 2 people + soft drink & popcorn would easily run in the neighborhood of 50.00. Which is completely unacceptable in my opinion, and is the biggest reason I do not frequent the movies.

For a brand new theatre, Xscape had everything together. There were several friendly employees, plenty of concession options, and a self-serve soda fountain. This may seem like a small thing, but I liked that they had a lid dispenser. The dispenser only let out one lid at a time, so I knew that they hadnt been touched by several hands before I got one. The recliner seats were top notch, too. I hadnt been to a theatre that had those yet, but now Im not sure I want to go to a theatre with regular seats! If you havent been to this theatre yet, I would recommend checking it out!

This is probably the best theater in Cincinnati right now. It is clean and the workers are friendly. As someone who hates theaters seats, I would go just for the reclining seats with footrests this theater has. It has discount days, I think Tuesdays are for everybody and Wednesdays are for seniors, movies are $6.50. They have a variety of candy and hot food and soda fountain dispensers which I assume means free refills for drinks, though not sure. Try this theater and youll never go to another one again.

The seats are very comfortable, the picture and sound are very good, and the popcorn is excellent. However, the audiences Ive seen there, particularly in the evening shows, do not know how to behave in a theater. In the half-dozen shows Ive seen there, Ive experienced several cell phones, numerous conversations, and even a mom changing her toddlers diaper on the seat! I really want to love this theater, but I cant.

Great place comfy seats a lot of room I take each of my kids there every year on their birthday. I recently took my 4yo to her 1st movie ever she loved it. Great place I was referred by a former manager he went out with his wife there face good review. I suggest you Google the place and go to their website to check times and movies. They also have a family friendly policy so troublesome teens cant loiter there.

I was extremely satisfied with my movie going experience at this theater. The popcorn was delicious and the staff was kind and accommodating. The projection quality was also top notch along with the booming surround sound. The reclining seats are ridiculously comfortable and the only of their kind in the city. If you havent been to this theater yet, Id highly recommend a visit. It’s the best in town.

Never thought Id see the day Northgate got a new theater. Electric reclining seats were so comfortable. Self fountain drink is nice but its risky with kids coming in to fill up from the mall. There was a large crowd of loud abnoushis kids but I feel they do ok with controlling them. The McDonalds near by is another story. Those kids destroy that place. Theater had descent prices and nice screens.
