So Ive been to this place a few times. Honestly my first time there it was fun but wished for more with the environment, game play and more. We started talking to this one guy there that we saw often about our thoughts. Well come to find out hes the owner. First off I think any business is great when the owner themselves are interacting daily with their employees and customers. He even jumps in and plays once in a while. Well due to his great business ethics of surrounding himself with his customers he is able to hear and respond to their thoughts. As a result we have seen MANY changes to this place making it a more fun and exciting place to go. Plus rumor is "leagues" are going to be starting as well which should be exciting! And my thoughts to everyone else who complains about weapon upgrade pricing....you spend twice as much for soda, popcorn and candy when you go to a movie. I personally would rather spend the money on something that provides more excitement and fun vs a lame bowl of popcorn! Just my food for thought. Two last things: 1) follow them on Facebook!!!! You can always find great deals going on such as discounts and free giveaways! 2) on the counter they have punch cards! I believe its every 5 games you get one free? This is great. Its like saving $7 off everytime you go.

I consider myself a very pessimistic person because I don’t like to get my hopes up. When my friend told me about the beta testing here, he told me about Battle House and I figured it wouldn’t be any different than all of the other laser tag establishments but I was most certainly wrong. When we arrived as a group we had to register and sign waivers just in case of injury even though it wasn’t dangerous at all. Inside the battle arena the layout was simple yet entertaining as well as high and low areas. They had multiple game types such as capture the flag, domination, and VIP which were well thought out using capture points or bombs (fake ones of course). Instead of the typical vest, they used sensor that were placed on your head with fairly well weighted guns. The guns were extremely responsive and accurate while shooting as well. While I was there, they have not completely finished building the arena since it needs panels as well as paint and they are going to be putting in additional guns. I give it 5 stars not for what it currently is but the potential it has to be which it will attain after the construction is complete.
This was my first visit to Battle House and I promise it will NOT be my last! The game play was great and the weapons are very well built and accurate. I docked them one star for the "pay to cheat" weapon upgrades. I went in thinking there would not be that much of a difference since the default weapon is semi-auto and would fire as quickly as the trigger is pulled. FALSE! The semi-auto cycle time for each shot is about 1/2 second. Most anyone can pull the trigger much quicker than that. The 3 shot and full autos have a distinct advantage, even over the sniper rifle which has a seriously slow reload time. Add to that there arent any real sniper roost positions and the autos really prove themselves as the weapon of choice. I feel the cost for weapon upgrades are a bit high at $10-15. They should be about half that. Finally, the staff and facility were amazing!!! They were friendly, helpful, and keep the games moving while explaining them thoroughly. The building was clean, internal structures were well built, and the lighting was probably too good. :)
I went to Battle House for a birthday party and I had a blast!! I started off a little nervous because we were playing with other groups of people that I didnt know and everyone seemed like Call of Duty pros. I have never played Call of Duty (or any kind of tactical game) and I was so worried that I was going to screw up my team and drag them down because I had no idea what I was doing. I was so relieved when it didnt matter that I had no idea what I was doing - a lot of people didnt! The staff did an amazing job at explaining all of the games and rules and it was not complicated like I thought it was going to be. It was a very, very fun time and well worth the money! I cant wait to go back!
Battle House Laser Tag is pretty much live action call of duty, which is pretty awesome. They have an amazing facility that looks like a MOUT type training area that you would see in the military. It has several rooms and buildings, some of which are two stories, which makes the arena a 3 dimensional environment. There are a bunch of different missions to play, and anyone familiar with military themed multiplayer video games will feel right at home. This place will wear you out! Its very intense game play. Derek and all the guys and girls there are really great. This place is perfect for birthdays or group events for your office. The more people you bring, the better the time youll have. Thumbs up.
We recently let our teenage girls to pick the weekend family activity and they chose laser tag. Of course we were expecting to be running around a glow in the dark room, wearing a bulky vest and shooting cheesy guns indiscriminately at everyone else in the room for 15 minutes. Im here to tell you Battle House isnt your amusement park laser tag folks! You can expect a high energy, strategy focused, heart pounding, sweat producing, multi-mission based team experience in a multi-room, multi-level playing field, complete with weaponry so realistic you can almost smell the gunpowder! We had an absolute blast and we cant wait to play again! Thank you Battle House for an amazing family experience!!
Ive been at least 25 times (if not more) and had an amazing experience every time. What keeps me coming back is the amazing staff and the wide variety of different game scenarios. Its also very family friendly. Its a lot different from your stereo typical lazer tag. The guns are not cheap plastic toys and its a great team build experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is visiting the Wilmington area and is looking for a great vacation idea or for our locals who looking to hang out with family and friends and have a friendly competition. All of this is whats going to keep me going back every chance I get.
Literally my favorite thing to do in town. I make sure I go at least once a week. Its fun, fast paced, team oriented and a great workout! Make sure, if you are going for the first time, you wear appropriate shoes! And it is TOTALLY worth it to pay for the upgrade, you will not regret it. Also, it is a good idea to call ahead of time and reserve/pay for your spot, especially on the weekends, because they only allow 34 slots per game. If youve never been because it seems to expensive, I would recommend planning on just trying it, and I guarantee you will have a blast and youll immediately start planning your next visit!
