Continental Event Center was chosen for my daughter’s wedding reception, July 2012. Jim Hester, owner and on site manager, has designed a beautiful facility and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the planning process. Through the planning he was always available for questions and guidance. If things appeared to be veering off course, he politely expressed concern. He took a personal interest in the planning of a once in a lifetime event. He even offered help finding a babysitter the night of the wedding because of an unexpected turn of events! The results were stunning! The set up of the facility was flawless. Using one of Jim’s preferred caterers for the food was an excellent choice and friends are still commenting favorably! The party atmosphere of the reception was exactly what we wanted. As the DJ, Jim kept it moving, transitioning from the wedding events (first dances, bouquet & garter tossing) to the dancing and fun without missing a beat. Many times throughout the evening I thought the song playing was a recording until I saw Jim with a microphone in his hand moving amongst the guests on the floor. The combination of a beautiful facility and Jim’s skills as a coordinator and DJ make Continental Event Center a perfect setting for the perfect wedding reception.

If your looking for an upscale facility, that offers amazing attention to detail, I would suggest going to the The Continental Event Center. The event center is not only beautiful, a local family owns and runs it. When choosing any type of service, I tend to look for these types of companies and was amazed to find such a beautiful facility that was owner-operated. We held a party at the center for my daughters birthday and used the small ballroom. Jim Hester helped me plan this party, right down to the napkins. He took extra care in adding such amazing details, things that someone without years of experience would never think of or care to take the time to do. Not only did he help in every little detail, he also was the DJ! He had large wedding that was ending has my party was starting and not a thing was missed. All I can say, is it was the party of the year. First class and amazingly fun! Everyone danced for hours. You are basically getting the Ritz Carlton at a Holiday Inn price. I cannot wait to plan my daughters wedding and would never even consider looking else where.

Wonderful, elegant, professional, affordable, local, and caring are just a few of the words describing Jim Hesters Continental Event Center where we recently celebrated our daughters wedding reception. The road to the reception was arduous because we were waiting for our daughters fiances visa to come through. Jim was very helpful as we had to postpone our event several times. As the day of the wedding approached our daughter and her fiance worked with Jim on music, decorations,and the evenings program. He guided them with wonderful artistic and musical suggestions allowing the couple to choose what fit their style. Their beautiful wedding ceremony was highlighted by a reception where people from different countries gathered together in an elegant setting. Many of the guests, all different ages, commented on how much fun the reception was. Thank you Jim Hester for all of your hard work and professionalism in making our daughters wedding reception a night to remember.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Continental Event Center last July and it was absolutely FANTASTIC! As soon as we saw the facility and met Jim, we knew we didnt need to look anywhere else. We had about 180 guests at our wedding reception and our families and friends still talk about how much fun they had and how beautiful the CEC is. Jim bent over backwards to make sure our event was absolutely perfect. My mother-in-law had put together a slide show for our rehearsal dinner and sadly, the equipment wouldnt work. When Jim heard about it, he set up a screen and played the slide show during dinner as a surprise for us and our guests. Jim was also our DJ for the event and he made the whole evening so much fun from start to finish. He even came prepared with boas and crazy hats for the dancing (which made for awesome photos)! I would highly recommend Jim and the Continental Event Center to anyone who is looking to host a classy, fun, and well organized event.

The chamber had their luncheon at this elegant venue. Its a great location for members coming from all over Prince William. As a sponsor of the event, I was concerned about a video presentation. Jim Hester of Continental Event Center provided the needed A/V and even spent time doing a "rehearsal". In my experience most A/V presentation experience delays, poor sound, pauses and other technical problems. This presentation came off GREAT thanks to Jims efforts. Not only is this venue beautiful, plenty of free parking, and conveniently located - they do great AV! Full disclosure - I do some internet work for Jim. He has been a pleasure to deal with in both situations.

Wow! Just amazing Mr. Ali was extremely helpful, The amount of hospitality they showed us was just unexepected. Our kids enjoyed the extra space they made available for us on short notice. I can not wait to refer all of my family and friends for their future parties. I took a second an read the comment from Danitza and i would completely disagree with them on this venue. I hope google removes their review and bans them from leaving anything else personal on this page. If you have any personal feelings towards anyone there maybe you should take it up legally.

This place is amazing, the staff are very friendly. This place is new and it is very clean. We are having a wedding here in two weeks and we are very excited. I didnt like the coments from Danitza Briseno, they looked very personal to me. It looks like he has issues with people and likes to give bad comments to people, I checked his history and found out that he has nothing to do with his life but to be a negative person and to give nasty comments. Thank you

We held our daughters wedding and reception at the Continental Even Center in October 2013, and it was wonderful! Jim has so much experience and was able to answer all of our questions and provide suggestions for the ceremony and reception when we needed help. His staff was very professional and catered to our every need. I highly recommend this facility, especially for weddings - the room the ceremony was held in was absolutely beautiful!

This venue is great for big parties! I had my wedding here in January & it was a big hit with myself, my family, and all of my guests. The owner Jim really does help you throw a party. It may not look like much from the outside but it is beautiful on the inside. It was the best wedding venue I could find in Northern Virginia that was within my budget "beer" but fit my taste "champagne".

This is an amazing place. We already attended a graduation party here and staff is good and the service is outstanding. They are very flexible with your schedule too. We are going to have another Qawali night this friday. It is a new place, new furniture, great ambience inside, more than enough parking spaces, close to highways and above all reasonable prices.
