We toured The Stockroom in hopes of scheduling a wedding there. Despite getting extensive information from the event manager over the phone and in a lengthy conversation about price during our tour, it was not until we set a date that the event manager informed us about a 20% "service charge" for renting the space, when in fact they provide no service. This is ridiculous, deceptive, and it is terrible business practice. None of the dozens of wedding venues we visited assess a 20% fee on top of their rental fee. I will be sure to mention this to all of my friends who are planning weddings in Raleigh so they dont waste their time! And by the way, if you rely on Wedding Wire for info on this or other wedding vendors in Raleigh, you may be interested to know that The Stockroom disputed my review and because we never signed a contract with The Stockroom, Wedding Wire has inactivated my review. Thank goodness Google hasnt been bought out by vendors that they review and so one can put some faith that the reviews tell the whole story, not just stories of those who praise vendors.

We looked at several venues, before we found the Stockroom, as soon as we walked though the door we knew the search was over. Nothing compared to this space, and we signed the contract the next day! All of our correspondence with Alexandra before the wedding was wonderful, detailed, and prompt. Since 90% of our wedding was DIY we needed to measure and view the space a few different times throughout the year and each time we met Alexandra was so helpful and patient. Diane, the day of Stockroom staff member, was AMAZING as well! She gave us great tips on how to hang our globe lights and our DIY chandelier for the alter. During the wedding she took time to ensure my parents and family were having a great time. I had a guest ask me after the wedding if we personally knew the staff from the Stockroom and catering company. I said no and asked why, he stated because they were so friendly, helpful and charismatic. He even mention Diane by name! Needless to say my wife, my guest and I had a great time!

Our daughters wedding was held at the Stockroom over Labor Day Weekend. Our rehearsal on Friday afternoon was held while another was being set up for that evening. The coordination of the two events was seamless. Our event on Saturday was flawless. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The food buffet was kept continually replenished. The clearing of the tables was constant. I had to pick up some left over food and beverages on Sunday. Bernard could not have been more accommodating. He had a cart ready for me and he loaded it up with 5 cases of beer, 4 cases of wine and 5 pans of food. He then rolled the cart down the block and put it all in the back of my car. Not bad for a guy who is 62 years old. He loves his work and it shows. The Stockroom is an interesting, fun, and service oriented facility for any event.

Great reception space in the heart of downtown. Nice exposed brick and old wood interior on the second floor of the building. The servers were very attentive and were able to accommodate catering from three separate area restaurants. Would recommend for a corporate function of wedding reception.
