STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENUE IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. This past weekend my father and I held my Mothers 50th Birthday celebration. I had read previous negative reviews but tried to still give them a chance. FIRST BAD IDEA. When I called this venue I was ecstatic because many of the places we had called were already booked through the summer months. When I went to tour, I was very pleased with the lighting of their iris ballroom and decided to go ahead and book the event. To book the owner asks for 1/2 of the total of the room. He calls that your deposit. Then a few weeks later I get a call saying that we havent paid their "deposit over fee". So they expect you to pay $500 for them to hold as a deposit but you pay 1/2 the total of the room before you pay the amount for them to hold. This sounds just as confusing as it is. I was then told I would not receive that $500 back until a month after my event. Not to mention we didnt add anything extra to the room because they charge for EVERYTHING. For example, Its an extra fee to use their "PA system", an extra fee to use their "projector", an extra fee to use their "screen" alongside with the projector its just a MONEY SCHEME with these people. They allow you to use outside catering which I thought was great because some places will not allow that however, you have to pay them $2 for EACH person on your guest list just to have the outside caterer. INSANE. They allow you 2 hours the day before your event to setup which I thought was a great add on to my experience. SECOND BAD IDEA ! The day before we are there to setup and the place isnt even vacuumed. The carpet is disgusting which I thought they would have had the decency to clean knowing they had an upcoming event. So now alongside setting up for all of our guest which by the way we were expecting 80-90 guests; we have to sweep and vacuum as well. ALL WITHIN 2 HOURS. The owner and his wife were there and they had NO compassion for the fact that their cleaning staff failed to do their job that morning of at least vacuuming the facility. No extra time was given or even offered. On the day of the event we knew there would be 1 other event being held in their larger ballroom, no big deal at all. My guests and most importantly my mother were pleased with the party and the many hoops we jumped through to make everything happen. While viewing our special presentation for my mother, the fire alarm was intentionally pulled. Protocol being to exit the building of course so we did so. The owner was not present but his son was and tells us that one of the kids from the other event pulled the alarm and that he apologizes. The end. So my guests have now exited the building, stood outside in the rain, while he learns how to deactivate the alarm and all you can do is apologize. I was very stunned. We paid over $2000 for a room that held 150 people but was told we would have to pay more if we had over 90 guests because were given a DEAL. This is only the beginning of my concerns with this place and I will NOT recommend them to any of my family or friends. Their event coordinator Jillian is so sweet and understanding but everything has to be ran through the owner who has no care for the human race. Their lack of compassion, courtesy, and customer service is something that will hinder this facility. I should have listened to the other reviews instead of giving them a chance but I didnt and thats my fault. I am very dissatisfied with this facility and will let everyone I come in contact with that is planning an event know so. Lesson learned.

When we first decided to go with this venue we were excited and thrilled because we had to switch venues a couple months before our wedding . However our feelings greatly changed when we found out 2 weeks before the wedding our wedding rep would be working somewhere else . Management never told me this information when I went in for meetings I had to ask ! But what really bothered me was that so much information that we were told Yes to was changed and things started taking a negative turn since we were working with a new wedding rep . Management did not take into account that wrong information was given to us and he didnt even try to work with us knowing the correct information wasnt given . For example we weretold that for extra hours for rehearsal would be $25 per hour but that night we had to get a extra hour and it was $100.00 ! And even after we paid 100.00 the rude Owner came in while our wedding party was leaving and cleaning up sayings time is up and starting cutting the lights off and on ! And even yelled at my Fiancée ! The owner is the issue at this venue the staff is amazing but everything has to go through him and he doesnt understand the needs of clients(American clients) or has compassion ! And the day of the wedding he moved our cups which we were told we could leave at the bar station and no one could find them ,found out he gave us a different pack of cups (that had been opened)but couldnt tell us where our original cups were I assume he misplaced them ! But to make matters worse we paid for additional hours for the wedding since we were advised to do ,so the event could run smoothly . But we ended up not using the additional hours the owner was passive at first saying he didnt know if we could get our money back because it hasnt been done in the past and he will leave it up to the accountant . So days later he used the excuse of my dj leaving 5mins after the wedding party left to not give us our money back ! He is very stingy and selfish I dont recommend anyone going to this place especially if you want good customer service ! When I look back at my wedding day these events truly put a bad taste in my mouth because the lack of respect and customer service we received ! And the owner is even rude to his staff so you know he has No respect for others ! He talks down to them and even refers to them as young Girls one time when we were in a meeting granted these are grown women ! Save your time and money and go to a venue that has more class and respect ! Thank God this venue had great wedding reps despite the Owner foolish ways!!!!! We had a great wedding overall thanks to those ladies !

Great venue! :) Couldnt ask for anything more. The least I could do is tell you all about my positive experience! My wife and I had our rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception here. All I really needed to do was coordinate with goels plaza, a DJ, decorator, and caterer. They had everything I needed otherwise, so it saved me money on hiring an event coordinator! Heres an idea of my experience from start to finish: About a year ago, I made an appointment and was welcomed with a friendly young lady (sorry, cant remember the name!). She gave me a tour through all of the ballrooms and customized my package based on what my wife wanted. Thats when we knew it was the right choice - beautiful facility, great care for our needs, and offered most of the items we sought. She even said that they offer thank you gifts available for our guests! Thereafter, the event coordinators sent us estimates within a couple days and answered all of our inquiries in a timely manner. My wife really appreciated their ability to follow-up on time. We came in to sign the contract a few days thereafter, took advantage of one their discounts going on, and worked with the young lady to design the layout. She had substantial experience to recommend creative ideas to make my wifes dream a reality! As our ceremonies got closer, we were given a few free hours during the week for us to set-up. That was extremely nice and convenient. On the days of our events, the staff and event coordinator were sincerely congratulating my wife and I, and took great care of our families. We really appreciated the genuine hospitality. My wife hired a day-of event coordinator to do all of the running around. After the event, they mailed thank you cards and sent us our deposits back. I dont really know how else to say thank you back, other than share my entire wedding experience to you all. It was flawless. Look forward to working with the goels plaza team again! :)
