I would like to thank St. Ann golf course for their warm and cordial welcome this AM. At 66 years young, retired US Army, there is a need for me, and a desire to maintain some level of physical fitness. I thought rather than just go walking around the neighborhood, it would be more fun to go walk the St. Ann golf course. Then not only am I walking but I have the fun of swinging my arms and torso. I didnt know what time they opened, so I thought if I got there early enough, even if I had to wait, I could get on. I arrived at 0647 by my clock. There was a vehicle that pulled in immediately ahead of me. that placed three vehicles in the parking lot, including me. I walked to the pro-shop and observed a man pulling carts up and parking them next to the path in front. Inside a woman was behind the counter and I asked to walk 9 holes with a pull cart. She asked me if I had a tee time? I said no. She said I would have to wait to speak with the man outside when he came in. I said OK and waited. I went outside and smoked. When the man came in, I went in and the vehicle that was in front of me, its occupants where paying for their round. It was a Threesome. After they were done I approached the man behind the counter and asked to play 9 with a pull cart. He asked me if I had a tee time? I said no and he informed me he had a foursome coming in shortly but there was a gap right after them. I sat down and waited. He then put out a twosome. both the above groups were walking. I waited.... and waited....I drank a cup of their coffee.....I smoked another cigarette......I walked around the clubhouse and read everything on the walls. He sat behind the counter and had multiple conversations with the woman. I waited. At 0725 I approached him and asked what the earliest tee time was. He replied 0630. I asked his name and he told me Greg. I thanked him for his time and left. I departed the parking lot with a total of three vehicles in the lot not including mine. It is obvious St. Ann golf course either doesnt need my money, is mismanaged or just doesnt want strangers on their golf course. Go to City of St. Ann site, or St. Ann golf course and I couldnt find any way to make a comment unless I joined a Group. Who would want to join a group. This tells me "they" dont want any negative comments. As a life member of St.Ann/Overland VFW Post 3944 and a resident of St.Louis county, I wish to thank Greg and the city of St.Ann for this display of how they plan to accomplish the growth they desire and mention on their page.

Ive lived in Saint Ann for 30 years and have been playing this course for almost half of that time. The course gets exponentially better every single year. The staff is always friendly and takes EXCELLENT care of the course. The greens, the sand traps(better than almost all 18 hole courses around), tee boxes and greens are kept in great condition. Even though its only 9 holes it is still one of the best courses in the greater Saint Louis area. Keep up the good work Saint Ann!!

Of course the course is not PGA material...but the greens are green and so are the fairways..alotta fun this course is. Play here once a week on sundays and the staff always sqeezes me in early if I get their, nice and courteous. Only complaint is if you wanna play 18 you gotta rent the cart twice..but value is great. Awesome course if you wanna play better than you are..which I love to do. Recommend to any one who doesnt like to pay $50+ for a round.

Great golf Pro works here. Worth the trip just to visit him. This course is priced excellent for what you get. Its a flat course, and wont beat you up. Fun for beginners and experts a like. The pace of play i slow, but it just gives you more time to visit with your golfing buddies on the course.

Great little course, always a good time. The staff are friendly and the price is cheap. If you are coming from St Charles Rock Road watch your speed. There are speed cameras on Ashby. Otherwise, approach from Cypress and you are good to go.

For the money this is not a bad course. It is wide open and flat, so play is easy. They do a pretty good job keeping the fairways in decent condition along with the greens. This course really will not challenge you but it was fun to play.

I try to play here a couple time a month and its a great course. The course is always in great shape and the staff is always nice.
