The Maywood is a hidden gem of the local music scene in Raleigh. The only thing cleaner than the house PA is the bathrooms. The bar is stocked nicely, the stage is perfectly sized and the staff is super friendly. The venue has a feeling of a large-scale scene while maintaining a feel of intimacy. Its kind of like going over to a friends house for beer, music and pool! Five stars. 10/10.

Everybody knows you cant play cover songs at the Maywood (in reference to the 1 star review) maybe write some original songs and you wont have to worry about it. This is a new venue for me every show has been spot on!

My favorite venue in Raleigh, and it just keeps getting better. Their latest remodel significantly improved the atomosphere, the bar, and most of all the stage. Id go there every night if I could.

Live rock and metal bands, spacious, the staff is great, nice stage, but the sound engineer sucks beyond belief, the poor bands had a terrible time dealing with the bad sound

Small parking lot but plenty of roadside parking. Good bar with good music. Better setup now that they have moved the stage to other side where there is more room.

Retaliated against one of our performing bands. They got false accusations from a cyber bully group and used them against the band. Retaliation! Illegal in NC.
