After reading some mixed reviews I felt I should leave my comment. This venue was a great experience. I attended the Lake Street Dive concert in August of 2016, and my overall experience was great. When I first arrived there was a security officer checking IDs (because there is a bar inside) who had a great personality cracking jokes with everyone he saw. There were two security personnel that did give me a pat down which was of little discomfort, it was quick and asked basic questions (the day and age we live in this was a SMALL sacrifice). The concert experience itself was great, the spot I stood at was an obscure spot located at the left side all the way on the top. It was still a great spot and heard everything perfectly. Security personnel even came by during the concert to take empty drinks from people to throw out. This was my first experience at this venue, and really hope I get a chance to go back.

I dont understand the negative reviews of this venue. This is hands down the best place to see a show in WNY. I am too old to enjoy being in the pit anymore, but there is enough space down in front of the stage to have a good time. The best part are the tiered "mini balconies"... I always stand right behind the sound guy (always the best place to be for the best sound anyhow), dead center, with great sight lines to the stage. There you dont have to worry about people falling on your head or anything like down in the pit. There are more than enough bars and all seem like they are well staffed, standing in the back there is even a waitress taking drink orders on a regular basis. As far as the security goes... I dont remember more than a simple pat down over the pockets. No TSA style sexual assault. Ive been there multiple times spanning the last 10 years or so.

The venue itself is awesome. A small crowd makes for an intimate show and the balconies make it easy to see the stage but the staff itself completely ruins the atmosphere. Whether youre getting ignored by the bartender so he can try and get girls numbers, getting shoved out of the way by security so they can grab somebodys glow stick or getting thrown out for crowd surfing their egos completely ruin the experience. Even the female staff is completely out of line. The woman that they had searching people proclaimed that she would have to "rub one out" after searched my friend. I would only go back to this venue as a last resort.

Great customer service!!! Came from Rochester to see Tegan and Sara but realized I left my printed ticket at home a few hours before the doors opened. I went to the venue to ask whether my email receipt would suffice-- the box office hadnt opened yet so they couldnt tell me. When I got to the show, I fully expected to have to explain my whole situation and probably buy another ticket regardless-- nope! They had made a note and there was no problem at all! Made me feel so welcome and not at all like I inconvenienced them! The size of the venue was perfectly cozy with no bad views of the stage. I would highly recommend!

I had a similar incident take place where the security guard was convinced I was trying to sneak in alcohol. Im of age mind you. I had a water bottle (filled with water) in my bag that I threw away in front of the security guard before being patted down to enter the venue. They then refused to let me in and would not refund my ticket. They then old me I was not allowed to wait on the sidewalk for my ride... ridiculous, will never go again and would encourage others to do the same. Its a real shame because they bring pretty good shows, but the staff is really a nightmare

We were fortunate enough to have been able to see last nights METRIC show at this venue, which was originally scheduled to take place at another venue. We originally thought the venue change wouldnt work because of our children (there are no seats) but we were extremely well taken care of by the staff, especially by Jeramiah who provided probably the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life! My only complaint is with Google because I cant score them higher than 5/5 (If I could, I would have given them 10/5)!!! Thanks again for an unforgettable evening!!!!

the actual theatre area is very nicely done. the sound was pretty good. BUT.... the staff and security are EGOMANIACS on power trips. and id have to guess the management is not much better. went to a moe. show back in 2008 and got kicked out for putting my head down on the table. i was told i could not sleep in the bar, even though thats where i was told to go to rest from the nice folks inside the theatre. for my money, avoid this place, unless you feel your better than everyone else, then youll fit right in.

I was literally probably one of the first people to buy a ticket to see the NBHD on Monday (I stayed up all night and had my purchase ready for the time they were available) and then some rude lady in line bullied me when she was probably 20 years older than me into going home from having an anxiety attack. Im a huge fan of the NBHD and tried to reach out to security but people told me to go to the back of the line. Super dissappointed.

Excellent place to see a show. Reminds me of the "Kings Rook Club" in Erie, PA except with a significantly cooler history to the building. Perfect size for a small venue! Not too small, not too big; my guess is it holds roughly 1,000 people? Total guess on that part, ha. Love the tiered layout because it lets you sort-of wade into the crowd, or stand back with a spectacular view of everything.

The venue itself is not only aesthetically pleasing, but has a charming, old time vibe. Ive visited this venue a handful of times and there is not a bad seat in the house. Unfortunately, the staff is unforgivable. Rude and inadequate dont even scratch the surface. If its a show you must see, I highly recommend trying to see it elsewhere. It is so bad, it effects the quality of the event.

I go to a ton of concerts the Town Ballroom and I had issues with the security guards a couple times. One time, they accidentally misunderstood what gender I was and sent me to the lady who pats down the girls! Another time, the security had reached his hand between my pants and underwear during the pat down and he touched my genitals!

I am from Canada, and got to see a July Talk/Sam Roberts show here. We were all blown away by the design of the venue. Not a bad spot in the house. Always keep an eye out for bands playing here that I may miss in Toronto. A fun little road trip across the border! Dont even need to get a hotel, the drive is just not that bad.

Overall a decent experience, we traveled from out of town for a show. I was really disappointed that there was VERY little seating in the whole venue. I didnt really interact with any of the staff so I cant say too much about them. They do seem to be a little brisk with people but I think that kind of goes with the job.
