HI, HAD AN INCREDIBLE EVENING AT THE PROCTOR!!! MY WIFE AND I, WENT TO SEE BRYON FERRY, 3/30. IT WAS GREAT!! THE SEATING IS EXCELLENT. WAS SEATED IN ROW " L ", 20,22. VIEW WAS GREAT. SHOW WAS GREAT, I FORGET HOW MANY ENCORES HE DID!. ORCHESTRA HAS ENOUGH] OF A SLANT, SO EVERY ONE CAN SEE IN ORCHESTRA. STAYED AT THE PARKER INN, EVEN WITH SOME EARLY DIFFICULTIES, WITH AN UNDERGROUND FIRE IN STREET, ACCOMODATIONS WERE FINE. MANAGEMENT HANDLED OUR INITIAL DISCOMFORT PROFESSIONALLY. TO BE ABLE TO WALK, INSIDE, TO SEE THE SHOW WAS GREAT. NOT DRIVING AFTERWOOD, EVEN BETTER. JOHNIES, ACROSS THE STREET FROM HOTEL, HAD A GREAT HAPPY HOUR, WITH 4 DOLLAR DRINKS AND APPS, WHICH WERE REALLY TASTY. ESPECIALLY THE CALAMARI, WITH TWO DIPPING SAUCES! ALL IN ALL, WE PLAN TO GO AGAIN. A SPECIAL THANKS TO THE MANAGER AT PARKERS INN ,ANDREW STRAUS, WHO ADRESSED SOME CONCERNS, IN A PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS WAY. SOMETHING I CONVEYED TO OUR SENIORS GROUPS, AND OTHERS. LOVE DENNIS AND MARYANN

Proctors is the absolute jewel of Schenectady. It is a 90 year-old concert venue which has been beautifully restored over the years, as well as tastefully modernized to accommodate the bigger Broadway shows such as Phantom. Proctors offers a huge variety of performers, plays, and productions as well as hosting local graduations. My family and I have been to Proctors countless times and have never been disappointed. Tickets are available on-line or at the box office, where people are very helpful in choosing the right seats. Prices are moderate to expensive, but still less than youd pay on Broadway for the same, if not better, quality of performance. There are also several restaurants in the vicinity, so have a great dinner and enjoy a fabulous show!

This place is just wonderful. We drove a few hours to see Deepak Chopra here - and it was also special for my older sister who went there as a little girl to see movies with my late mom. The place has been lovingly restored. It has more than one venue inside and gets some very good shows based on what I saw on their upcoming schedule. This is just the kind of place a community needs - and it is walking distance to several restaurants and shops - and has several hotels and B&Bs closeby. The historic area of the town is also within walking distance so its a fun overnight trip if youre coming from further away and theres a show you really want to see. This was six hours drive for me but the closest venue for Deepak and a really fun little trip.

Just got home from a most disappointing show at the Proctor Theater. My group was so looking forward to a night of laughs, good food, etc. Tony and Tinas Italian Wedding was boring, sometimes in very poor taste. We are not a group of stiffs....we are fun-loving people who do not mind a little fun....thats what we expected. Coming from Italian heritage ourselves, it was like no Italian wedding we had ever attended. It depicted Italians as ignorant, uneducated, etc. The food was just fair; the show and the meal certainly was not worth the $70 paid. I wish that we had taken the money spent to a nice restaurant and come home to a good funny movie.

A great old theater and very nicely redone. Most of the main floor seats looked like they would have great views. The side box we bought did have an obstructed view. They really should have told us. We could not see the back part of the stage area and missed part of the show. The sound was good in our part of the theater. The front of the stage we had a great view.

The balcony seats are awful! Very close together and NO leg room at all. I have bad knees and couldnt stretch my legs for 2.5 hours unless i got up. But i was sitting in the center of an isle. The atmosphere was really nice and the show was good, but i hope the seats on the floor are roomier!

It is a joy to play cello at Proctors!! I have had the pleasure of playing a recital and other concerts and shows there over the years. The venue is beautiful, the staff very professional and attentive, and the quality of performances is always top notch!! All the best, Will Hayes, cellist

Very very nice place! However I was threatened that if I wasnt at the show on time for 8pm I would not be able to see the first 10 minutes of lion king. I dragged my 9 year old triplets here one of which is physically handicapped to be here for 8 and here it is 8:05. Pretty disappointed!

Neil deGrasse Tysons presentation on the Universe was wonderful and understandable for even us universally under-knowledgeable people. The great expanse which we are a particle in is mind boggling. Would highly recommend attending his presentations if the opportunity arises.

Good selection of shows, but when they redid the theatre is was definitely done to squeeze more people in the same space. The seats are tight and often leg room is limited. But its a gorgeous space and its definitely worth it for a taste of Broadway without a trip to NYC.

Everything they do they do well: arts camps, mainstage travel Broadway productions; high school concert band and orchestra festivals; old time, classic, cartoon fest, and avante garde movies on the largest screen in the region; comedy "club" shows, and private events.

Great shows, helpful staff, seats starting to age. We recently scored seats in front and were surprised at how narrow they were compared to seats in the main seating areas. Parking is good although options for dropping off visitors with limited mobility are limited.

Proctors is INDEED a non-profit arts organization, despite what some have said (there are no shareholders, after all). And its a wonderful gem which brings far MORE to the city than it takes. Were lucky to have such a cultural center here in upstate NY.

I love Proctors, primarily for use of Apostrophe Cafe, which I use bi-weekly for crafting meetings. The Cafe is large and the table are great and the area is nice and comfy, food is kinda pricey and tastes bad but other than that the place is awesome!!!

Just saw a show here - friendly staff, beautiful theater with a great view from every seat [Id imagine as its not that large]. Arrived early - got parking at meter on the street. Appeared to be cute downtown area - though we didnt explore. Will return.

I have attended many shows and events on many occasions over the years and I have always been impressed with Proctors for their presentation, their staff, and the attention to detail that is apparent every day! Keep the magic going, Proctors!!

My favorite local place to see off Broadway shows at a great price. The traditional elegant theater also has movies and other events for people to attend. Great host to the indoor farmers market in the winter. Wonderful experience!

Great piece of history that host a variety of events for all ages. The facilities are clean and staff are very welcoming. The numerous restaurants in the surrounding area make State Street a great place for a weekend night out.
