The restaurant is very open and roomy, though this might have been because our visit was during one of the days there was no band paying. As from what I heard when bands are playing, the music and crowd can be pretty loud. Our waitress Frankie stayed with us even after her shift ended and she had said wed be getting a waiter named Sam, my party seems to like this as she seems to be more on top of things. While there was no band, there was a great variety of cajun blues music playing; my father really enjoyed this. As an appetizer I ordered the Alligator Bites with the cocktail sauce and the Fried Pickles, the Alligator Bites did indeed taste just like chicken and the Fried Pickles were good but just a little too salty for me. For my main course I went with the Fried Catfish with a side Caesar Salad, the catfish seemed to be a little on the mushy side but tasted fine none the less.

Great Atmosphere on a Sunday night , clean bar and great sound in the ocean of fog and darkness that permeates the Albany night of December 6. JAMBALAYA, is fast and a 10 out of 10 for dinner and tomorrows lunch. I dont stay downtown Albany much, and it certainly is quiet down here, but the sound, food, abundant beer and excellent wine has good potnetional to have me showing the place off sometime to my local people to what I bet dont what a good thing they have down here. You can forget you are in downtown Albany and in the 2010s sitting and drinking here after a while.

Great music and great fun we have seen Melvin Seals here school bus yellow and just recently attended an amazing benefit show for the Edens Rose Foundation. Its a bar its fun but it still has that homey family vibe. Food is okay but I would imagine most people are going in for the music or a drank. Its a very good in-between place for entertainment and a nice break from the normal around town scene

Meh. I came here for downtown restaurant week and the food was just ok. My friend and I werent particularly impressed. There are so many really amazing options in Albany so why settle for just ok? The cocktails were actually pretty good and they have a wide beer selection, so this place is probably better for hanging out for a drink than for dinner.

Fabulous visit. We showed up on restaurant week, got to choose from a few options of an appetizer, entree and dessert for $20.17. Our picks; buffalo allagater, humbo and cheese cake. The venue is gorgeous and right across from the Suny chancler building. Great food and service.

The food was horrible. We were a party of 4. The shrimp & grits made me sick to stomach. The quesiida ha mostly all cheese & no much crayfish. The jambalaya was too watery. My family is from New Orleans so I know what Im talking about. Would not recommend it

Parish has a very comfortable atmosphere as well as a fantastic list of beers and some delicious Louisiana style meals. The wait staff is prompt and polite, and continues to ensure you are enjoying your meal every step of the way.

Been a couple of times. Food is great. Prices are great. Owner is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend checking their calendar for a show that interests you, and go for dinner and some great live music.

Thank heavens for Parish 42. We are trapped in Albany by the big storm and its about the only place open downtown. Good pub grub, outstanding selection of pints, great bartender, good music. Whats not to like?

Love this place. Great lunches and scrumptious dinners along with THE best beer menu to pair with Cajun food. Could not add last star for recent visit as we froze our buns (not the ones you eat) off

Surprising find in downtown Albany. Very different than what youd expect to find in the capital. Bartender is upbeat and knows his drinks. Deffinetly worth a stop if your looking for different.

We must have caught them on a bad day as the bread was stale, and potato chips were stale. My wrap was good and the service tried their best to make up for the kitchen. Overall: Meh

Great Cajun wings. They are smoked first which sets them apart from the majority of wings on offer and they are huge! I have a hard time eating all 10 even when Im starving

Great if you were in your twenties with no kids or forties and older with no kids. Brought my children here after a long trip got slow service. Food was also so so.

Loved this place. Stopped here when I was working in town. Wings were ridiculously good. Like may be the best Ive had. Beer selection is extensive, as well.

Great Food! Great environment! Friendly service. 4 stars because they sometimes tend to take long with the orders. But they make it up in quality.
