My family went to this art museum for the first time last summer to see the Kenny Scharf exhibit, and then we went again in the winter for the photography exhibits. My teenage daughter loved both exhibits as much as I did. They were very unique and not like the usual museum fare. Be sure to go on the second floor of the museum which houses a craft center for kids and some additional exhibits. It also has an awesome gift shop with some pretty unusual items (some related to the exhibits, others unrelated). Lastly, the grounds are lovely and have sculptures scattered about so be sure to wear comfortable shoes so you can see them all.

I went to the current photography exhibit. They have a whole show on ansel Adams, and then they have a bunch of other photographers, so basically its a collection starting from 1930 or so to contemporary times. Some interesting and beautiful works,w helpful descriptions. The ground outside are gorgeous, and include lots of sculptures and gardens. We had a wonderful time. We did not have to pay for parking, maybe bec its fall

The museum itself is small, however there are always tons of colorful and interesting exhibitions there and the building itself is elegant. My favorite part about this museum, however, are the sprawling grounds and sculpture garden. There are also tons of flowers, fountains and shrubbery; Plenty of space to explore and take photographs.

You NEED to go for the day and spend some time here. During a beautiful day get a lunch and hang out behind the museum and enjoy a visitor that is usually a Red Fox that lives on the grounds. I LOVE this place. I used to hang here in the 80s and still love it each and every-time I get to come to this beautiful place.
