Wonderful Seating.... I always had to rush to the theater on opening weekends to get a good seat but at the Palace you reserve your seats online. Also, every seat is a giant, leather recliner. Its so nice. The viewing experience... The screens look to be new, clean and curved. The curved screens offer a better view even on the outside edges of the viewing area. I did notice that the white levels, and contrast levels seem to be better than many others theaters. The concessions ... There is a tiny bar near the entrance. I am not a big drinker but for those who live downtown and can walk to and from the theater (or have a designated driver) this is a nice touch. As far as I can tell there are concessions on each floor in front of the various groups of theaters. I did like the self dispensing soda machines, they are the newer clean dispensing models. The cup dispenser is nice as well. You push a button and the lids come out one at time without anyone elses "booger pickers" going on the other lids. The verdict... I had gone here in the past and it was nowhere near as nice as it is now. A friend of mine clued me in to the changes and it is worth the drive for me. Everything I can see leads me to believe that they spent good money on a very recent, very nice redo of the entire theater and it is our new favorite place to watch movies. Plus the new toll road makes it a snap to get downtown now. So get to Sundance Square. Watch a movie, buy some gourmet chocolate and make a day of it. :)

Remodel of this building is beautiful, but missing a bit of the movie nostalgia charm of the original setup. The assigned seating feature is fantastic and the theater seats/screen resolution are worth the price of admission. We did run across some small problems on our last visit though. To get around the crowds trying to see Star Wars (Episode 7), we went to an early show on a Monday. There were no employees at the concession area (for at least 5-10 mins.), the mens bathroom downstairs was out of soap, at least one of the outside ticket machines wasnt working properly, and thank goodness I didnt bring my grandmother cause navigating the trip from concession (upstairs), to the theater (downstairs) was a bit of a workout (I know theres an elevator, but what if we didnt know/ask). Despite these minor issues, this theater will always be my go to for seeing popular movies during the weekdays.

Worst experience ever.....I went Saturday last night to see the new Alien movie .There was several groups of people in my theater that keep playing on there phones taken pictures and talking through the whole movie the movie was a quiet one so we could not hear it.So I got up to look for a worker to tell them whats going on it was about 12am. I looked everywhere no one to be found I even looked in the employees break room no one. When I walked down to the front door there was drunk people from the bar next store looking for a restroom .The front doors where unlocked still this is very scary and unsafe. There was no security in this theater at the time most needed.I will never return I will stick with Cinemark.Main reason for the safety of my family.

I have been going to AMC for years, never had a problem buying tickets, until now. I bought tickets online for a movie and arrived to retrieve them. The employee refused to give me the rest of my tickets because she claimed it was a "Rated R movie and AMC is very strict on the age policy for R movies & need IDs for every single tickets bought". I already bought my movie tickets in advance and she printed all of them out and told me she would not give me the rest, she asked to see my ID & I presented it to her. I told her I had been coming here for years and NEVER has anyone asked me for IDs for every single ticket. No where in Fandango does it say it requires and ID to purchase all Rated R tickets or to present them at the ticket office.

Not sure why people are complaining about picking your seat. I think its great. Its like buying seats at a baseball or football game, you buy specific seats. That way when you go to see your movie you dont have to worry about going early to get good seats. I will say that the food and drinks are over priced but what theater doesnt have over priced food. Also the tickets are not cheap but you are getting to pick where you want to sit, comfortable and spacious reclining seats, and there is a wall behind you. not more seats so you dont need to worry about some child or young adult kicking the back of your seat. An amazing theater experience the only reason it didnt get 5 stars is because of the prices.

I went to a matinee today and loved this theater. I liked the assigned seating. Most people know where they like to sit anyway, so just buy your tickets early and go do something else until show time. We didnt have to worry about getting seats together. I didnt get anything at the concession stand, so I cant comment on that. The theater was a little cold for me, but they usually are. Next time Ill remember to bring a jacket. The reclining seats were AWESOME! I am hooked. The movie was not that great so I found myself nodding off because I was so comfortable.

The ONLY theater I go to unless its an absolutely must see movie that they arent showing. The staff is super friendly and I always recieve service with a smile. The temperature is kept comfortable, not too cold not too hot which is a big plus for me. I hate watching movies while uncomfortable. The facility is always clean (theaters, restrooms) of course the concession stand is high dollar but what movie theater isnt? I especially love the new rewards card they now offer. Its a great deal. I give it two thumbs up because thats all I have.

This place needs a new manager. This place is a mess. Employees are rude and slow. No one smiles. The bathrooms are horribly dirty. Popcorn all over the floor everywhere. The floor to the bathroom is always wet. Looks like there is a leak somewhere. Sad that no one likes to come here because its a great location and has great seats. But the theater is half full on a Saturday night for a movie that is just opening. This place could be awesome it the management cared about making it great!

Im not sure what the last two reviewers are on but besides the standard expensive food, this theater is great. Electric recliner chairs? Yes please! About assigned seats, so what? It isnt a random roulette and means you can buy your ticket, go walk around downtown, and come back right at showing time and not have to worry about bad seats. Nazi like mentality? What? Do you know about the Nazis because it doesnt seem like it.

Id go to this theater any night. Im a big fan of the recliner seats. And, while concession prices are high, as they are everywhere, you can refill that enormous Coke at the self-service section while youre taking a bathroom break because you drank that first Coke. And while youre at it you can get your popcorn refilled. In summary: 1) Reclining seats, 2) Assigned seats, 3) Refills.
