I am new to the hobby and even after a great deal of research and reading was uncertain as to the type of tank I would invest in. I have a microbiology and chemistry background so with the extent of reading I did in preparation of this new hobby and my enthusiasm for it I probably had the makings of a potentially annoying new client. Having said that, I visited several local shops with questions and looking for guidance to ensure that whatever I did would be correct and become a healthy suitable home for our new fish. After one conversation with Jason at Caribbean Forest I knew I found my local shop. Despite being very busy he was never in a rush to answer my many questions with great information and a genuine enthusiasm for the well-being and esthetic of the environment I had in mind to create. Never have I felt I was being sold, upsold, or as a true novice, that my need for some hand-holding was a nuisance. I am a business owner and appreciate the GREAT difference between cost and value, as such I am quick to recognize that difference and can be difficult to please. Caribbean Forest is pure value. Happily enough theyre prices were on par with what I observed elsewhere but that was not my primary concern. From initial decision making to in-home set-up and service to cycling the tank and getting it stocked Jason has not only made the exercise successful but has added a great value, energy and confidence to the experience. If your reading reviews your probably shopping for a store, do yourself a favor and start here!

A few weeks ago i stumbled upon caribbean forest, and was truley impressed fish with their selection. However i purchased over $80 worth of live stock, and later found out that i did not recieve their discount card. Not only that but the fish i bought was diseased. (He had ick) and soon died, which gave all of my other fish ick. Lastly when i tried to get ahold of someone at their store to try and resolve this incident, i was told to call back and speak with a manager, so i tried to call back... but no manager seemed to be on location for a solid 5 days. When i finally spoke to a manager they were rude. needless to say i will NOT be going back there EVER again. I will be keeping my buisness where it is appreciated, The Reef Shop, which is right around the corner. And my favorite place to go for aquatic life NEPTUNES GARDENDS in Batavia.

a few days ago i purchesed a good veriaty of fishes. im glad to inform that all the fish are happly alive and healthy. they also give me good advise to help clean and maintain my tank. also, the emploies are very nice and commasionet. for now on, i will be going to the Caribbean forest for any aquatic life or equipment.

This is a great place to shop!!! Whether youre a beginner or experienced reef individual they will meet all of your needs. I highly recommend this place due to their customer service. I have shopped many reef stores in the surrounding area; this place is far more enjoyable than others.

Hands down my favorite reef shop. ALL employees are extremely nice and helpful. They get new livestock in every week and theres always something that I cant live without in there. 5 stars all around... employees, livestock, equipment, prices, you name it their good at it.

I love this store. I live in Durham NC and whenever I am in town I stop by the Carribean Forrest. They have a large selection of corals and there is alwas something I want to buy. If Im flying they pack up my purchase and ship it to me.

Carribean forest remains the premier reef and salt water fish location in the greater Rochester area. Classy people, well informed and educated in all things related to salt water tanks. Definitely worth the trip to see the place.
