Absolutely amazing theatre! The people are very friendly and enthusiastic about what they do! There is a very lovable fluffy husky who works there and cleans up the popcorn after the shows! We are from Pittsburgh, but visit family in the area and I am sad to say that tonight was my first experience in the theatre but it will not be my last! Between the friendly husky, their amazing camera collection, and the welcoming atmosphere I wish there were more movies to see! We will be adding the theatre to our yearly routine!

The Strand is a step back in time when the popcorn had real butter which theres does and every seat was comfortable and a great view!!! I love seeing movies in this time capsule also the owner is gracious and entertaining he is like his building a step back in time he greets everyone like there family watching home movies in the living room . So if you have the time stop in enjoy the popcorn take the tour of the collection of antique cameras and then enjoy a movie like it was ment to be seen

Every time I head to the Adirondacks in the summer I make sure to stop by the Strand and see a movie. When you purchase a ticket youre not only getting to see a movie, you also get admission to a mini-museum of vintage cameras and gear. The staff is always very friendly and the tickets are dirt cheap. ($5 or $6 if I remember correctly) The picture and audio quality arent spectacular but the atmosphere and price easily make it a worthwhile excursion.

The Strand is a jaw dropping experience! Its jaw dropping collection of cameras and other memorabilia coupled with the owners appreciation for historical integrity are a breath of fresh air. He and his staff are polite and provide old time professional customer service. The theater could easily double as a museum and is worthy of time spent to explore both. When you travel to old forge, the Strand is a must see!

What makes this place great is the history it brings with all the camera from over the years and the great staff. Ive been coming with my family every year since I was a child when I visit old forge. I recommend anyone to check it out that comes to old forge because its one of the best parts of being here.

I spent one week in Old Forge and made two trips to The Strand. Not only were the prices exceptional, but the environment was one I wish was found in more theaters. The environment was traditional and expressed an appreciation for films through the decor. I am happy I had the opportunity to go.

Its such a fun and unique hometown movie theater. The friendly owners and their husky, Noah, greet you at the door and make you feel welcome and right at home. The decorations and history behind the building are fascinating. Its a great place with a lot if character to see a movie!

Very interesting and learning experience. A place that is a must to stop to watch a movie. Had many interesting old cameras and other movie equipment hanging on walls. The whole family enjoyed this building. Staff was friendly. Prices were great and popcorn was yummy!

My wife and I love this theater. Its like our second home when we are in the Adirondacks. Bob is the best host and the price so reasonable. Cant wait for our next visit. Make sure to bring a vintage camera the next time you stop in.

Place is great! Movies arent the best quality and bathrooms are very dark. For $7 a ticket, not a bad deal. Especially on a rainy night that you cant sit by the fire.
