The Garden went through some minor (and much needed) renovations since changing ownership. Its still the quaint, local theater that I know and love - two screens, a small concessions stand, and friendly faces. In addition to the major films that show there, they also play much smaller, independent movies, host film festivals (they played a different Hitchcock film each week and brought in a live band to play the score!!!), do Q&As with directors, and run family-friendly events. If youre a local and love going to the movies, I recommend becoming a member to support the non-profit.

Its a small (two-theater I believe?) place, but everyone is extremely polite and it makes for a nice night out if youre not a fan of going to the massive cine-mega-plexes to see Chimpmunks 4: Montezumas Revenge. If you see theyre re-airing an old movie, definitely go! They were showing the Directors Cut of Blade Runner and it sold out on a Thursday!

A quaint little independent theater with all of the "charms" that come along with it. It doesnt have all of the frills and amenities of the big chains but it does have water in a box. The staff is friendly, the place is vkean, and the selection of movies is good.

Ive been seeing movies at this theater for years. Lots of memories here! They offer some special programs featuring writers, actors, directors, etc. Theater is clean, seats are comfortable. Good projection, good audio, good snacks.

A great independent movie theater. Special showings weekly of classic films and Saturday morning matinees of classic childrens movies. First run films of the high-brow sort. Special screenings with talks from noted directors.

This place is still the way your neighborhood theater was back before it was taken over by AMC. You can walk there from just about anywhere in town, and afterwards you can treat yourself to something within a few blocks.

Great place to see a movie. Even the pre-movie ads are less annoying than a megachain theater. The seats dont have great legroom for taller people, but its a small price to pay for the experience.

Fantastic art house/independent movie theatre. Great selection of films, really comfortable accommodations. Hardly ever packed, which is a shame because they always feature such a nice selection.

An old time downtown theater with comfortable seating and modern projection equipment. Their bills are usually a smart mix of art house films and some of the best popular movies.

The Garden is clean and friendly. It offers an interesting mix of films and events. Situated right downtown so it is very convenient for locals.

Not too many screens. Programming is decent, but not as good as the nearby Montgomery Cinema (though they now share an owner, I believe).

Great little theater with good prices. It is a tad confusing when they get the big new movies, since they only play two at a time.

The only movie theater worth going to. Terrific selection of movies; reasonably priced; and (generally) a quiet crowd.
