Me and my girlfreind wanted to see a movie, so we decided to go to the newly opened showtime 6. We went on a sunday night to avoid the grade school and high school kids that are usually overflowing the place. I called the theater on sunday around 6 and the recording said that they had Quantom of Solace(what we wanted to see), at 7:20 and 9:45, we decided to go at 9:45 to avoid the kids. When we got to the theater, the times outside were listed at 7 and 9:30 for QoS, we went inside and went to order our tickets and the manager said we would have to come back tomorrow becuase they dont have late shows on sunday, despite the times listed outsite and the telephone recording. I told him about the recording and he said that it was from friday night and he hasnt gotten around to change it. He also told us that the times are only gauranteed on Mon through Thurs, and friday and saturday depend on the amount of kids that come. So if you want to watch a movie on the weekend, dont go to Showtime 6 becuase trying the catch the right time is like playing Russian Roulette.

Had you asked me a few months back if I would have suggested going to Showtime, I would have said "Go if it is something you are not really excited about seeing and dont want to make the drive to one of the bigger cities (Carbondale or OFallon IL). Thankfully, that has changed with the addition of all new seating, digital projectors and better sound quality and today I would gladly suggest seeing a movie at Showtime.

Pretty sad they close registers down an hour after my movie started so I couldnt get a soda, no water fountains or soda machines. I ask why they closed so early, mind you its only 8pm, the response I got was "So we can get out of here on time" I will be making a complaint tomorrow asap.

There are certainly better theaters, but i gave it 5 stars because if your just wanting a nice cheap night out this is the place. If your going though ladies we all know its big purse night, so just push those twizzlers a little farther down the purse to make it not so obvious. ;)

Lots of improvements to this movie theatre. The screen sizes are still on the small side but the seats have been replace with very nice leather chairs and the cameras have been updated to very clear pictures.

Its got an old school feel to it. The seating has been renovated as well as the prices ⬆ from last year. Over all its doable if you need some form of entertainment while in town.

Just upgraded to all digital movies and sound. Also new seating going in! Great movies for great price close to home.

The ticket prices here are great and the popcorn is awesome, especially cause you can add as much butter as you want
