We went to see Daisy yesterday afternoon. It was superb. I would especially like to note Michael Gotch who played Tony Schwartz. Schwartz is a very complicated character, hard to do. On the one hand, he is confident to the point of arrogance. He KNOWS. On the other hand, he is so vulnerable. He has agoraphobia (fear of crowds), acrophobia (fear of heights), he is also afraid of leaving an area a few blocks on a side, and for some reason I didnt quite catch he took his shoes and socks off. But he knows the answers, he knows how to think about manipulating peoples minds. Thats power. So on the one hand, hes powerful and on the other hand, he is vulnerable. Thats hard to play. Gotch does it, and does it well.

I wanted to catch a show while in Seattle so chose to go to the ACT and saw "A Murder for Two". It was a great 90 minute 2 person play in which they played 13 different characters. It felt a little amateur theatre but that charm is what made it very funny and great to watch. The theatre itself was beautiful and the room I was in, there wasnt a bad seat in the house. I did find it a little pricey for what it was and felt the ushers could have been more helpful guiding people in and out of the building as it was quite a maze for someone who hasnt been there....but otherwise a really enjoyable and theatrical evening. Centrally located so easy to get to and from and enjoyed dinner in the city afterwards.

We attended the 6:00 pm performance of Dickens A Christmas Carol on Tuesday night, December 22nd, 2009. We have been to this show as a tradition many times throughout the past several years. THIS performance was one of the BEST ones that we have ever seen! R. Hamilton Wright was FABULOUS as Scrooge! He was absolutely animated, and he communicated genuine emotions, from his facial expressions to his actions - his JOY was a delight to see - he even did a somersault! We wanted to send kudos to him, and tell him that we were thrilled to see his performance - the best that weve ever seen. He is our FAVORITE Scrooge, and we hope that we will get to see him again next year. GREAT JOB!

This NYC theater snob has found an adequate fix at ACT, which features very eclectic fare (Pinter festival, Ramayana, script readings, From Uncle Ho to Uncle Sam, and others) at incredible prices if one takes advantage of the ACT pass. For a mere $25 a month, you can see almost all ACT has to offer, and if you like it, you can go see it again--and you can even get $4 parking at the convention center in the evening (but dont leave your car after midnight, or it will get locked in!). ACT helps keep the theater blues away, and its exciting to see world premieres of shows Im pretty confident will make their way to off-Broadway if not Broadway proper.

Just saw "Hold the Truths", a riveting experience. I lived thru Gen DeWitts, Commander of the Sixth Army District. getting FDR to back his desire to eliminate all Japanese, Eisei and Nisei from the West Coast. The ruling more than decimated Foster High School Student Body where I was a student. Duwamish and Green River had many Japanese Truck Gardeners along with Italian immigrant farmers. But only the "Japs" were taken. I later was a Combat Veteran of the Med Theater where Nisei troops were most highly decorated. The illegal and indignant actions against American Citizens will be long remembered and hopefully not forgotten.

Last night, December 17th, I attended the 6 PM performance of A Christmas Carol. It was amazing. Every member of the cast was well suited for their role, and they played their parts convincingly and to perfection. The sound and lighting systems were very effective and also well done. My applause to everyone involved for an excellent production! (Note: I do feel that this is a production for more mature audiences. The theatrics/staging are so effective for some of the ghosts, that they can be frightening for children under 10 or so in my opinion. But get a sitter and go!)

We used ACT for our holiday party. For the most part people thought it was great, but from a planning aspect, they tacked on extra fees that were not in our event agreement. They also exclusively use Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes (great catering, but their staff showed up late and they charged for their staff being there longer than they actually were). Just FYI...

Every show I have ever seen here rocks! Each theatre has a special charm. The volunteer ushers are always so nice. One time they let us move because we were all cramped in with a bunch of other people - and there were some empty seats. The production company really does a fantastic job! I cant wait to see more!

The theater itself is in the round and a great place for intimate plays. However the actual plays and performances are all over the place. Ranging from amazing to incredibly subpar / a waste of time :) Recommend reviews of the play first. But also recommend supporting the local theatre.

We took the whole family, kids and all, to A Christmas Carol. Extremely family friendly, even the scary parts were done to be intense yet manageable for the little guys. Acting, sets, theatre, tech... was all done with utmost skill, class, and professionalism.

Great assortment of plays, and I especially enjoy the theatre-in-the-round, in which it is almost as if I am taking part in the play. Great actors and art direction. Ive seen some better plays here than off Broadway (New York that is).

My girlfriend introduced me to the theater. Love the location. Easy to park and plenty of food to eat around. It can be a hit or miss but, such is life. Ill continue to go as often as I can. Thank You Suzanne.

Wonderful theater. Always something interesting going on there. Its a great space and is used to full effect. The 14/28 festival runs a few times a year and is very good, catch it if you can.

We just saw A Christmas Carol. The production was in the round. And the actors were spot on. You could see and hear every line. Very well done. We will definitely come to see other plays.

This was truly a treat to the senses, beautiful theater and great performers. It is kind of a small and intimate theater so all seats are good seats. Kids loved it! 10 and 11yrs
