This theater only shows three movies at a time as thats all the screens they have! But kudos to their curation, the movies are often excellent. Fairly new and clean, large leather recliners make the experience very comfortable. Seats are reserved so theres no need to stand in line in advance. Each row of recliners are also spaced very generously apart, so when fully reclined, other patrons can still get to their seats without having you to get up and do the uncomfortable shuffle dance. However as a result, it is recommended to sit much further closer to the screen as you would normally do. Halls 1 and 3 are upstairs. Ive never been to Hall 1, which is their biggest, and often screens the biggest hits. Hall 3 unfortunately shares a wall with Hall 1. Three times I was there to watch fairly slow and dramatic movies (Mr Holmes, Room and Brooklyn) and each time Hall 1 next door was showing an action packed flick with ample explosions and earth shattering sound effects (Mission Impossible and Deadpool). How did I know? Yup, you guess it, the walls shook and rumbled. We could basically hear and feel those explosions next door. Not great if Im watching something dramatic. Do also note that Hall 3 has a single aisle that comes down the left side (as you face the screen). The seating plan on the booking site doesnt indicate this and may appear to suggest there will be an aisle on both sides. So if youre picky about sitting facing the middle of the screen, you may want to select seats slightly closer to the left. Another downside to Hall 3 (and possibly Hall 1 too): the ventilation upstairs (where its located) is terrible. The whole Hall is filled with the grease from the popcorn sold at the concession stand outside. You come out of your movie smelling like popcorn oil. Some people dont mind it but I think its rather gross. The air conditioning also comes on and off intermittently. When it comes on, its very drafty and chilling. When it goes off, it can get quite stuffy, and if youre watching something exciting that gets your sweat glands worked up a little, good luck. Hall 2 in the basement is much better. No booming noises from next door, and no greasy oils wafting in. Seating wise, the aisle runs on the right, and there is also a horizontal aisle nearer the back of the Hall. So its really not advisable to sit all the way at the back as the screen will be too small. Regular ticket prices are higher than AMC but here you get a seat reservation and comfortable recliners. Better still, if you buy tickets to movies that are screened before noon, and in the late evenings of Sundays to Thursdays, theyre half priced. Overall, my favourite theater for movies. If they can work on the soundproofing and ventilation, I give them the final star!

My fiance and I decided to go see "12 Years a Slave" last Friday, which by the way was a remarkable movie. Considering this is a local/more independent theatre (I think), I was expecting a cheaper ticket price but it was still $14.00 like every other movie theatre. No worries though cause thats what I expected. Walking towards the specific theatre was kind of weird. There was a low ceiling at one point (maybe 7 or 8 feet) that had mirrors on top so it looked like it was much taller but I imagine if you were a really tall person, you could hit your head on the ceiling. The floor also sloped down like a small hill. This theatre definitely hasnt been renovated in years. We walked into the theatre and immediately noticed how small it was, but that was OK with us. As we went to sit down, I noticed some white stains on the seat, which did not sit well with me so we chose other seats. The seats are small and cramped and thats a 52" tall female saying that. During the movie, which again was amazing and so emotional, I kept hearing the movie theatres phone ringing somewhere off in the distance. The movie would be in the middle of a scene out in the woods and all of a sudden I would hear a faint ringing. This happened at least six times throughout the movie. On the way out of the theatre and going through the weird, short mirrored ceiling hallway, the first thing I saw was a mouse! It darted across the room so I got to see it run for about 10-12 feet. SO DISGUSTING!!! Im sure a lot of establishments have mice too that Im unaware of because I dont see them but when I do see them, GROSS! GET A MOUSE TRAP! HIRE AN EXTERMINATOR! YOU ARE A BUSINESS! So, a movie theatre is a movie theatre, and for a movie theatre, it did a good job of pressing play on a large screen, but for $14 a ticket, Id rather go to an AMC or Regal that has more comfortable seats without questionable stains, cleaner amenities and phones ringing during quiet, serene settings of a movie.

Theyve taken all the fun out of a casual night out at the movies. Prices jumped up--fourteen dollars for a senior ticket-- and seats have to be chosen at the time the tickets are purchased. This means a line waiting to get into the theater while people discuss where to sit. Wrong seats? Run down two flights to change them. Then arrive in the dark and the usher points in the general direction of our seats--try to find them? Theyre somewhere up there, or down there! Trip over someone whos turned her seat into a recliner to find them. Finally, settle in. Sat in the wrong seats for the whole movie--last row--although got to the theater 15 minutes ahead of time. Did like the movie and the carpeting; thats why two stars. And oh, yes, the bathroom was clean. Thank you for that. (The usher said everyone was unhappy) Not in a hurry to go back and sad the neighborhood go-to movie has turned into a no-go-to.

Have attended this theater many times and thought it was shabby, dirty and unattractive.Never thought it was customer friendly. When it was renovated my experience was more negative. We had to choose our seats before entering the theater. I really disliked that since I like going into the theater and choosing my seat based on whos sitting where(tall people, etc).I dislike the new chairs although theyre wonderfully cozy and comfortable. I dont go to a movie to take a nap! When I went patrons were having difficulty locating "their " seats and management got involved while some people leaned against the wall. Patrons were complaining and I really wished I could leave but my friend wanted to "stick it out". If anyone gives a damn, my friend and I are not going back.A movie should be a casual experience. Its not ABT or opera. I just want to go in,find a seat, sit up and watch the show.

Not only did this cost the two of us $11 more than walking across the Park to Lincoln Plaza, but the newly jazzed up screening room (OK: nice big plush seats with push-button foot rests, and fine digital screen) was ruined by the red glow of the "Exit" sign splashing across the screen. For a movie like "Mr. Turner" that was a disaster! Afterward, when we informed one of the staff that wed lost a pair of gloves, he didnt move a muscle out of his comfy chair to help us find it, in fact couldnt even get his eyes off his smart-phone. Total extra cost (lost gloves included) for going to Cinema 1,2,3: $35.00! — all the pre-film advertisements you can stomach included in the price — No thanks, ever again!
