Course is in great shape even after a thunderstorm. I was not happy with the ranger who instead of enforcing a good pace of play would just drive around the course, make small talk and then go search for lost balls. Pace of play was painstakingly slow because of a group just three groups ahead of us. We ended up skipping three holes just to be able to play at a decent rate. The final few holes of the course were empty one we passed the slow players. The course was really challenging and fun. It was cool to play a links course before a storm with very high winds. However the challenging conditions mixed with unprofessional staff and poor etiquette made for a a dissatisfying round. Kids screaming bloody murder on the beach side while you putt and tee off. The ranger searching for balls. Golf course staff screaming and hitting balls into the ocean behind the 9th and 18th holes. Did I mention slow play?

Beautiful course but the round was absolutely ruined by the starter. We were paired up with two strangers. One was an elderly male who was playing a little slow but seemed be shooting very low. The starter rudely spoke to us twice on the front nine. I finally showed him my card in order to show I had shot par or better on my last five holes and I am considered a quick player as well. I also explained that we were paired up by their staff. He was down right rude and treated my partner and I, who was also having a great round as if it didnt matter if it was the strangers fault. He continued to bother us the entire round. Absolutely ruined the day. Still finished in under 4 hours. There was no justification for his behavior.

Play the course on 6/1/11 & was not happy. They only had ( holes open which we were not told when booking the tee time. Found the people in the clubhouse to be stand offish. They did not apologize for them not tell us they only had 9 holes open, did not greet us & the 1 guy in the pro shop when we talked in just stood there and saw us walk in then walked away. The course itself was not marked with yardage markers very good had to search for them in the fairways. The bunkers were not raked that morning & ready for play. The course map did not show the hole as to were you should it or lay up had to drive up each hole to see it before playing. I will not return to this course.

Just played this course this past week on our yearly beach trip with the fam. This will make the second and last time I play this course. Greens fees are pricey and it seems that on virtually every hole we had someone always watching us to make sure we played fast enough. Although no one was behind us for two holes, we were told to speed up. Having some stranger parked right beside my cart the entire time is a little nerve racking and made for a really bad experience. Looks like we will be taking our golf game to somewhere else. When I pay $120, I figure I could go out and have a good time, not be constantly patrolled by course management.

Normally a beautiful, scenic, short but very tough Golf Course. We played last Tuesday the 25th. Due to much rain the past 2 weeks, there was so much standing water it was almost unplayable. Since there are many blind tee shots, you could hit a very good shot only to find out it was in ankle deep water in the fairway. It wouldnt have bothered me as much but there was very little warning (they didnt want to scare away customers) and they charged full price ($129). I realize they are in business to make money which is fine, but this left a very bad taste in our mouths and no one in our group will ever play there again.

Decent course, but be very weary of leaving any and all items behind. Left my GoPro attached to my cart and called 15 min after I left to asked if they could secure it for me. Golf shop said they would check and call me back. They never bothered to call and when I called them they seemed less than concerned. Good news is, video was recording when I returned my cart and I should be able to access it when I get home.

Very challenging course. Incredible scenery. Staff were all great ranger was very friendly. Let us start 45 min before tee time. Sign says no private coolers, but no one had a problem with mine. Six packs there are $20. They "require" collar shirts, but golfers had on tees.

Great challenging course, first time playing there, pace of play was good. Beautiful course and very scenic, would have given 5 stars but the guy in the pro shop was very rude and needs a better personality, and if not happy find another damn job, all other staff was great.

Great scenery and overall a good course. If its wet the greens are very slow. Ball plugged a few times. Also, you will lose balls.. Lots of balls. Best bet, hit a provisional to speed up pace. Dont even try to find your ball if you know it went left or right.

Great back 9. Played 18 in less than 4 hrs. yet still had to hear something from the starter after 9. We were moving fine. Guy must have felt he needed to say something just to hear himself talk. Put a damper on the whole day for me and my two sons.

The only reason it gets 3 and not 2 is because of the friendlinest of the staff. Bad golf experience though. $129 for a round of golf on what seemed to me just any other public course. Greens did NOT roll true. Sloppy course, nice staff.

Beautiful golf course with great service in the club house. Bring extra balls since most if the holes have a water component. The views over the sound are incredible as you make your way through the course.

Really fun, challenging course, thats worth an annual trip for me from Avon, NC. Lot of great views of the water and basically everything you would want out of a beachfront golf course. Friendly staff too.

Great course, got a great deal on golf now. Course needs a little TLC from the people who play it. Lots of wear and tear around the greens. Views are the best anywhere on this side of the continent.

Pretty course that is short but will punish you if you are spraying you tee shots. If the wind is blowing, all bets are off. Just enjoy the best views of the sound.

Price to high they were $60.00 bucks higher than they should be. Courses near bye are $ 90.00 bucks just as nice. Not worth the extra money
