We recently stayed at the MGM for our wedding on October 4, 2016. We were there 5 nights 6 days spending a lot of time in their casino and restaraunts. While we were there I had brought my wedding dress to the bell-desk for steaming since it had gotten wrinkled in my suitcase during travel. I dropped my my dress early in the morning the day before my wedding and was told it would be back by 7:30 and delivered to my room. We were out most of the day preparing for our wedding the next day, so we didnt get back to room until about 12:30 am. When we arrived to our room and I checked for my dress, there was someone elses dress in its place. I had another brides dress and was getting married in 16 hours. I called the bell desk and they sent up someone to see what had happened. He called the cleaning service that they send their things out to and was on the phone trying to figure out. He told me that they would be trying to find my dress and he was leaving for night but would pass along. Now the night before my wedding I have no dress, am axausted, but cant go to sleep because waiting to hear. Now at this point its 3am and someone calls to tell me that they tracked my dress at another hotel and someone at the cleaners would be picking it up and bringing it to hotel in about an hour.. I was so tired I feel asleep for an hour and woke up and called the desk and they said they would bring the dress up. At 5:30 am my dress finally got to me. I was up all night crying, upset, and stressed about my dress. I had to be up early for prep for the day. I was so tired, looked tired, going on hardly any sleep for my wedding day, and was furious although I had my dress because I was so tired and looked it..My husband called to manager to tell her how upset his fiancé was and how I was up all night upset the night of my wedding. Her response was that they got the cleaners to wave the 30.00 bill for steaming my dress. THANKS FOR THAT!! Youre wonderful! Thats it!! Not even a bottle of wine on our wedding day that they were responsible for putting a damper on. A voice message none the less was what we got!! IF YOU ARE A BRIDE BEWARE! Stay at another hotel if you will need any service for your day...They said they use a third party!! You are still responsible and their lack of compassion is pathetic. I wasnt looking for a golden ticket to paradise, but at least show your apologies. Nothing compensated at all not even a face to face apology! I think losing a brides wedding dress the night before shes getting married and not having any compassion is a big deal! They did nothing! Everyone we talk to is shocked!!! Never again will we stay at this hotel. We spent thousands there Between gambling, entertainment, and eating etc.. wont step foot there even to gamble the next time.. better customer service and casino many other places in Vegas!

Where to start? Well, I think maybe with a disclaimer.....I dont drink alcohol. So, when we arrived late afternoon/ early evening when our flight came in and got to spend at least 45 minutes in the lobby because the hotel had overbooked our partys rooms and didnt have any left I was painfully sober. I spent that 45 minutes wondering why we had even bothered to make reservations if the rooms would not be reserved and what kind of hotel doesnt honor its reservations. We did finally get approved by the manager to get similar rooms scattered across the hotel. Our room was mostly disappointing. It was spacious, clean, the furniture was in good shape, and the room was stocked and that was it. There was a $50 fridge opening fee and no coffee maker. Room service was ridiculous ($18 for a small carafe of coffee....exactly like IHOPs carafes) and we never did find the ice machine alluded to by the presence of the little bucket on the dresser. Every morning we had to walk almost half a mile to get coffee as it would have taken longer for room service anyhow. The water pressure sucked and the tile had a lot of bad patchwork (as did the ceiling in the bedroom). The bath towels were smallish and stiff. The toilet paper was of the cheap paper maché variety you find in dingy gas station bathrooms. Even the quieter walk of shame was clearly audible in our room. After everything I had heard about Vegas and this hotel I was terribly disappointed. The food was overpriced and mediocre. Maybe its just because I am from Portland, Oregon and we have copious amounts of good food on every corner. Idk. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable and that made up for it to a degree. As a matter of fact, the employees (of MGM grand and its sublettors) were all awesome and that is the only reason I gave any stars. I do not necessarily blame the hotel for this next bit but did want to give a heads up to any other travelers with sensitive skin......bring bedding, a throw blanket, ask for special bedding, something. I woke up with a horrendous rash from whatever they douse the sheets in (or maybe starch?). My skin was red, swollen, and extremely flaky. It was painful and itchy. I have mildly sensitive skin but have never had an issue at a hotel, at work, or at home. I use bleach, ammonia, and a wide variety of soaps on a daily basis with no gloves and no problem. I rarely use skin care products but I had to use allergy barrier cream the rest of our stay after the first night and make sure they didnt change our bedding again. Four days and copious amounts of skin rehydrators and allergy creams later and it is starting to heal in most places. In places the damage was so deep that I have scabs where the rash was. My skin still feels like rough grit sandpaper.

I booked with MGM for my 85 wedding guests, which included several rooms. I, myself, the Bride, stayed for 4 nights in the hotel. Day one: checked in after a 1.5 hour wait in the line, and was told I owed money on my room, which I had completely prepaid for. Apparently they didnt have my "group rate" in the system. I had to search through 9 months worth of emails to find my group rate confirmation. Once I found it, the lady at the desk had to take my phone to her manager in the back (30+ minutes) to get the rates corrected. Finally it was corrected. When I checked in to my suite with my (then) fiancé, (now) husband and our 4 year old daughter we instantly realized the cable box was broken thus we had "no signal" so we called maintenance, an hour later they arrived and fixed. My daughter then went to use the bathroom, when she flushed the toilet, sewage back up came up from the dual sinks. Our entre room then smelled of sewage. We called maintenance again, and they put some type of solution down the drains. They also cleaned the sinks. 2 hours later we tried using the shower..no hot water even after letting the water run for 20 minutes. The maintenance came back and told us to turn on the bath first in order to get hot water. I was blown away. Why should I have to jump through hoops to get hot water. At this point, I sent an email to my group rate coordinator. She gave me a call the next day to move me to another room. Day two: I am now in the new room and have no ac. and it is 105 degrees outside. I did not have ac for the duration of my trip, only a fan. they changed the air filter which did nothing. 2 of my guests have now also been relocated due to maintenance issues. Also one guest was given a king room when she clearly reserved a double queen room. She had to share a bed with her husband and child for the first night because she was told that nothing could be done. the 2nd night she was moved to a double queen bed. All MGM did waive her resort fee of $33 for the inconvenience, what a slap in the face. Day three: My wedding day! I am stressed out and overwhelmed because I am getting married for crying out loud. On top of that I am sweating like a dog due to no ac. Day four: I ask my group rate coordinator to give me a call to discuss. (august 7th) I waited 3 days with no response. I then emailed again and asked if someone planned on responding to my email. the next day I get an email back that I will hear from a manager within a couple of days. Still no response yet. I will never stay here again or recommend to anyone that I know. Horrible upkeep of the hotel and service was very lacking! Plenty of other hotels that you can spend your money on to get better quality and better service.
