So my very first visit to Hollywood Casino in Jamul was horrible except for the floor staff my experience was such a put off that I will never come to this casino again not only were the games very unexciting, as welll were any staff behind the counter. I must say I did speak with Paul a change floor wait staff and he was amazingly helpful and fun to deal with. The only person at the entire place who spoke to me with the mindset that I was indeed a consumer at this place of business that I ventured to for fun and an atmosphere of slot play. Not only was I given absolutely NOTHING for signing up I couldnt even get directions to a money cage other than the one that was extremely rude to me. I do not have any desire or intention to return. I will be happy to take my fun and gaming experience to a higher standard of business and consumer entertainment industry casino after this trip. ANY CASINO. I have never felt so under motivated in any of my casino visits all over the United States. Loss of this gamer on the first day!!!!!!!!

I am mostly a tournament player and it was sad to see they dont have space to host a big tournament, people had to wait in line for a while to get a seat but it was such a great feeling to see everyone at HPC working as a team, a great team I would say. It was nice to see the DCS (dealer coordinators) dealing in the tournament helping out Corey, it was nice to see Marcus assisting Corey any way possible, the food servers taking orders for cocktails because they were so busy. It was overall a nice experience and I know all of this is possible because they have a great leader in Ginger, she is doing the right thing, doing what it takes to make sure her guests have an awesome experience. Good job Ginger, good job Erick Morris, Corey, Marcus and the DCS helping out in the tournament. Im hoping you guys try to get an area designed just for tournaments. Great job HPC.

Wow really?!?!? I always stop at this casino to stay when traveling on business, and every time I dine inn. My favorite seat is at the bar, because after a good meal I like to have a good drink, cognac or wine for my lady. Well now the Casino made some changes were you cant order certain food items from the bar, simple as steak and eggs. Most likely I wont be coming back to this casino, or recommend it to friends and family. Las Vegas here I come, where the clients always get a good service and get what they pay for. Yes this is a negative rating!!!!!!

This casino was a bit small and had one large general area in which various table games occurred. The services I received were average to say the least, and the food was the same. I went here due to the association with the racetrack and from reviews of friends. However, the atmosphere created by players helped lift the overall mood of the building. A few of the staff seemed a bit miserable which at times did not help with the customers who had lost a few dollars.

Because of my mothers visiting guests, Id never really thought about coming to a casino (any casino). But they sometimes needed a bit of a stress relief and, coming here was very helpful, lol. While they didnt like that the smoking section was separate from the gambling area, they still enjoyed themselves, and the employees were very helpful and patient in explaining things to them (as they didnt speak English); even fellow players were helpful.

Usually 2-4 $5/$5 games, more $3/$5 games. The wait is usually 20-30 minutes for $5/$5 games, less for $3/$5. Food is not that good, service is slow. Valet offers car wash for $20-$30. Free self parking and valet is free if playing $5/$5 or above. They also have other tables games; baccarat, paigow, different styles of Blackjack etc.

Ask yourself why would a casino charge its customers $6 to watch and bet on horse racing? Los Alamitos charges $3 all other casinos are FREE to get in? Could it be they dont want to many others coming in and messing up the optics? This place is small and cramped and to charge $6 is borderline criminal!!!

Horrible service wait like 45 minutes just to get a drink food is subpar trying to pass off as five star.... the only good thing about there is the actual bartender Karen.... and bartender Jose Gomez Lopez mixologist great inventive bartender if it wasnt for them I wouldnt step into the building

The bar is set up terrible if you sitting in the middle off the bar all the tvs are on the end and that sucks . Plus the service was slow and not all that great with bar not even busy...i would not suggest watching a game there unless you get the early to get the best 4 seats they have.

IT NEEDS TO MUCH SAFER. FOOD IS HORRIBLE. THEY NEED TO START GETTING FOOD FROM SYSCO I WOULD PAY THE PRICE FOR GOOD FOOD. MADE MY BROTHER-N-LAW VERY SICK. DRINKS ARE GOOD NEED TO STOP THE LEACHERS FROM STAYING AROUND AFTER THEY LOOSE MONEY.

The casino side is amazing, great atomsphere, classy crowd, and good food. Overall a great place to spend on a weekend as long as you can control your gambling. The servers are good looking with the service to match.

Small casino, situated in an unpleasant neighborhood. Table games are mostly poker and blackjack. They have party craps (craps but with cards instead of dice) due to laws in California but only 1 very small table.

The place had a nice environment the service was not to bad the seafood pasta was very good and the drinks was good price. Had a good time just need some music it did not start until 10 pm to late for me..

They did a nice job updating the casino. Easy parking in the structure. Great place to grab a drink after seeing a show at the Forum. They have a modern designed bar, basic deli and coffee shop.

Cool place to grab a drink and chat with friends. Renovations were nicely done. Definitely stepped theyre game up! A nice touch of class! Great music and a good munchie menu.

A ton of poker tables (I think I counted 80). Lots of action. They had both a 4/8 and 8/16 Omaha hi lo, and 8/16 hi lo is a hard game to find.
