Reasonable quality for the price. It certainly is a sight to behold from the inside and out and the scale really isnt clear until youre inside on one of the higher floors looking down on the fully open interior. It really is worth a look even if youre not staying there. The building is looking a little tired and doesnt show the Vegas polish of some of the other mid level hotels (Planet Hollywood, etc.). Its at one end of the strip so its a fair walk down to many of the strips other main attractions. The casino is pretty standard fare for Vegas although its definitely in the mid range and not one of the higher end casinos. And, as with most of the other Vegas casinos, only the higher stake blackjack tables pay 3 to 2 for blackjack, with the cheaper tables giving 6 to 5, further tilting the odds in favour of the house. The rooms themselves are perfectly usable, clean and a decent size. As with the rest of Vegas, be prepared to walk as some floors are only accessable by the lifts / elevators in one corner of the hotel meaning that you may have to walk the entire perimeter of the pyramid (this is likely more of an issue on the lower floors or if youve spent the day walking the strip. On the upper floors, as youd expect, the view from the rooms can be spectacular. There is no bath in the cheapest rooms but the showers are very big and the bathrooms themselves are pretty reasonably sized. Although they could do with some tlc as the damp seems to have gotten behind some of the paint and attacked the bathroom door (see photo). Apparently many of the more expensive rooms have recently been refurbished so it may just be a matter of time until the attention is turned to the lesser rooms. As youd expect, there is free, fairly fast WiFi throughout the hotel with no need to enter your room number despite the advice given at the check in desk. The pool area is quite nice although be prepared to pay a fair bit extra if you want shade ($80-100 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella and a bucket of small water bottles) and then also be prepared to be annoyed when you spot others who havent paid using the paid only area and not being collared by the pool staff. The staff throughout the hotel are very friendly and helpful where they can be (a special mention for Dante in the pyramid café who really was great and, incidentally, really looks and sounds like Denzel Washington) If checking out early for a late flight, there is nowhere to have a shower unless you pay $10 to use the poolside shower or $25 for the spa showers (the gym is included in the room price but the showers are part of the spa). Overall, the hotel is good value for money in a pretty good location but could do with a little attention to detail and a bump in the included amenities.

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING STAYING AT THE LUXOR!!!!! The check in process is not what a normal process should be like. It took over an hour to check in at 9pm at night which you would think would be a quick check it but, it was not. BRING EXTRA PILLOWS!!!! There are only 2 pillows per bed so if you need more dont count on the staff to help you there. They claim they do not have any extra pillows to give out to guests. So relay on uncomfortable sleep with only pillow per person. AC BARLEY WORKS! When we got into the room it felt like a heat wave! We called maintenance and all they could do is bring a fan in that barely worked as well. So the whole stay it was a sauna in the room. Especially when everyday was 105 degrees outside. Lets just say that was the worst part of the trip was not being able to come into a nice cool room. MAIDS DO NOT CHANGE BEDS SHEETS UNLESS YOU ASKED! If you plan on receiving excellent room service the Luxor is not the place to receive it. The first night we were so exhausted we just layed in bed and did not pull back the sheets because it was so hot. Come to find out someone had a pen in the bed previous to us and exploded all over the bed sheets underneath. We figured we would leave it and didnt want to complain since we would get new sheets the next day. We werent we wrong!!! We come back to find just the beds made with the same ink stained sheets and the room not even vacuumed. It was really gross you figured it would be at least cleaned or the bed sheets even clean! YOU WILL WALK FOR AT LEAST A MILE TO YOUR ROOM! We were on the 26th floor in the pyramid and from the front desk to our room it was at least a mile walk. Once you get off the elevator be prepared to walk for another half mile to your room. After just wanting to go back and relax to your room you have prepare yourself for a mile walk just to the room. Always request to be by an elevator and on a low floor if you do plan on staying here. My review would be absolute awful!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone I would of rather stayed at the Flamingo, Tropicana or the Linq for the same price!!!

Cool looking building . But thats were the cool ends. The valet went smoothly along with baggage pick up. Then we walked in and i kid you not there had to be almost a line with close to 100 people to check in it was worse then TSA in new york at 6am. So after standing in a hudge line forever we checked in the girl behind the counter was very nice and did a great job. We upgraded to a suite on the 17th floor so as we are going to the room i looked over and there is hudge cracks in the wall looks really run down when u look close. The room itself was kinda big. It was semi clean[ hair in the bathroom]. The furniture was old and all scratched up. I didnt take my cloths out of my luggage by the way it took over 30 mins to get my luggage which would be fine but when u have hungry kids its not good so plan ahead for that. As far as the room goes it was suppose to be a upgraded suite and let me tell you i dont feel very graded. If you need to do anything on the web get use to holding your phone or laptop by the window because the internet is non existent [ we have verizon]. So back to my horror story we went out to the casino and dropped alot of money and had fun[ went to mgm] luxor casino is kinda small anyways.we.got in as the sun was coming up[ kids are 17 and 15] went to sleep and what happends at 1045 am they decide to test the fire alarm for 45 min. I am a big believer in saftey but 45 mins. This loud alarm at full blast makes you jump out of bed trust.me. I know i am not making this up it was one thing after another. The staff was nice no problem there but they really need to knock this thing down and build a new one there is just so many issues here. The food court is small, not a very good casino if you line it up against all the other ones on the strip. The best part about staying there is its connected to the other casinos which makes it easy to go and enjoy there casinos. I.promise you wont be happy after you get here there are just to many good options out there.
