My review is based on what the park was planned to be, what it was when it did finally open and what it plans to be for its second season. First this park opened more then a year late. They advertised certain attractions to open and then sold passes based on an opening date which kept getting pushed back. When they finally opened mid summer, they were missing several rides that were supposed to be open for the season pass holders and many had strange weight limitations that seemed to change daily. They did offer refunds but then weeks later sold from Groupon, season passes and again advertised certain attractions that would be open this year. They did not finish either of the 2 multi person raft sides and then would not refund those new passes so they were sold advertising less of a park then we paid for. The park itself is nice and clean as a new park should be. But very small and they did not build the big kids play area so not a park for the whole family. The lines for the slides are disorganized, slow and are ran differently every day. The park only has 6 different water slides for adults but they add up all the toddler slides and claim they have over 20 attractions so it sounds bigger then it really is. They even claim to have a boardwalk bay pool which sounds great but really its just the entrance area to the lazy river and nothing like a pool at all so until you get inside the gates, you would never know. On the plus side their wave pool is very large and can create some pretty good size waves. For 2015, they plan on finishing the 2 raft rides season pass holders were told would be in 2014 but for the 3rd year in a row won’t plan of building their featured attraction “Cowabunga Splash” playground. For what slides they have, the distance from the strip (they are not in Las Vegas) and the pure fact they did not open what they claimed they would, for the 2014 season they were overpriced and a let down compared to what they should have been back in 2013 when they sold us all on this water park that may take several years to get to be the size they advertised back in 2012. So for its first year, after a year delay they get a very low rating. If they were in only water park in southern Nevada, then maybe 3 stars but they are way behind the park that is located in Las Vegas and has about twice the amount of adult size water slides.

It was absolutely terrible, my brother and I were harassed physically and mentally by some people there and no one did anything about it they told us to forget about it when those people said really hurtful things that could damage a person permenently, almost every employee (there are 2 or 3 really nice employees there) there from my experience acted very rude, obnoxious, judgemental, arrogant, and stuck up, I did not feel welcomed whatsoever, the prices are outrageous for the food and drinks the gift shop is even worse, the wave pool is always filled with people from front to back and when the waves go off everyone turns into animals, you get tipped over, smacked, punched, bit, kicked, drowned, my brother and I went in the wave pool and we turn around and we see a little kid drowning (may I mention he cant be older than 5) and the lifeguards didnt notice they were too busy talking to each other there were also not 8 lifeguards as there are supposed to be, so my brother picked this child up and took him to his grandmother also may I mention it wasnt just that one time that my brother and I were bullied and harassed at this water park it was the 3rd time. So from my experience I will never come here again, terrible service, mostly terrible staff, outrageous prices just to get in (it costs almost 200$ just for two people to get in)and dont forget how high the prices are for food, drinks and the gift shop, and most of all terrible guests with nasty attitudes so I dont recommend this water park I recommend wet n wild if youre looking for some place fun with kind people to enjoy your day with family or by yourself.

This was the worst water park I have ever been to. Writing this review from the edge of the "wave" pool. For starters, the most egregious thing are the over-zealous insanely strict safety measures that you have to deal with for every single slide in the park. Getting weighed at the bottom then weighed at the top? Are you serious? Ive been to a good 10 or so water parks and have never once had to be weighed. Next, the ridiculously inefficient queue and logistics procedures of getting riders on the slides. Having to wait in line at the bottom while the life guard fetches your color coded tube one by one, like the people cant be trusted to grab the proper tube and get in line for the correct tube at the top. There is glaring inefficiency for every single attraction at this waterpark. A few extra things: this park is way overpriced. There are much fewer attractions than I expected for a cost of that magnitude. Also, not much thrill. They have only ONE body slide, which happens to be the only decent thrill ride in the park. Only demographic I would recommend this park to is young families who live close that get season passes. Everyone else, not worth it. Maybe Im used to the apparently superior waterparks of the Midwest where Im from, but this was a waste of money and time. If you enjoy extra safe, mild, paying a lot, and getting a little wet, this is your place. But I guess in vegas its slim pickings

This is our second year as season pass holders and OUR LAST!! There is not enough shade areas, and if you want to get a shade area, you must be there when it opens. The wave pool has become a nightmare, way too many people and not enough tubes (people are constantly taking the tubes and keeping them for the day; also, many tubes are missing, not in good condition and they are not being replaced) when it clearly states not to do that. No one is enforcing the rules, chairs are being moved all over, even though it clearly states that chairs are not to be moved! People coming in with umbrellas, stand alone tents, chairs, etc. Your staff DOES NOT ENFORCE THE RULES, either they dont care or are tired of trying to enforce the rules. Your lifeguards are not attentive to their job and care more about chatting with their peers than watching out for our safety. The park is also looking very dirty. We have also noticed the change in the people that go to the park and it is not for the better. People go into the pool wearing street clothing?????? The wave pool looks really dirty.

when I called to ask for my refund for my son, Alex directed me to call Henderson Police for me to deal with them. I explained to her my son and his friends were ask to leave because of a parent making a scene and accusing my son of hitting her daughter when it was an accident and he apologized to her. The first supervisor had advised the parents and the kids to stay away from each others way as the kids did do that and the parents wouldnt let it go, she had a different supervisor go and escort the kids out. The parent yelled at my son , and treated my son inappropriate manner . when my son ask the supervisor for her name she directed my son to go on the Cowabunga website and get it from there and was ask why does need that information and my son told the supervisor because my mom will need to speak to someone and still directed my son to go on the website. I dont understand why couldnt they receive their refund back. The kids were in the lazy river you cant help it if youre bumbing in to other people
