I get the fact that this place is extremely overpriced, its a waterpark for kids and most are. But this water park could really use better staff, specifically with the staff that work in the food stands. Today I went to get ONE ice cream cone (went to the stand towards the front of the park, that sells tacos ex.) and there was only one person in front of me, Im not exaggerating when I say it took them about 15- 20 minutes to even notice me while one guy was doing all the work in front and the rest of the employees (which were a bunch of girls in the back) stood back there and talked and laughed. The worse part is, was the fact that they looked at me and saw that I was standing there!! I felt so bad for the poor guy in front who was doing everything and HE was the one who eventually took my order when he had a chance finishing the girl in front of me. Then I watched his ask one of the girls to make my ice cream cone, she looked confused like she didnt understand why he had asked her OH and then she didnt know how to make the ice cream cone and messed the first one up and threw it in the trash can and plainly said out loud right in front of me "Hope she didnt see that" and the other girls laughed. How unprofessional can you get? Look I get that you are young employees but Im paying $4.00 for an ice cream cone that is that tiny please act a little bit better. My hope for you his post is that the people who hired these girls can realize that there is a problem going on in that specific stand and that they need to be reminded that they should be putting Roaring Springs customers first, not their social life.

This place is a joke. Took the kids for "family slide night"... This is the only water park I have been to that does not allow lap riders... my son is four, my daughter is two and a half... last summer my son and I went to 2 water parks and one the summer prior wven...in Utah that had the rule of him being able to ride anything ad long as he was on my lap... including several thrilling rides. I would never take him on something that would submerge him or the half pipe. However, he us just under 42 inches... why did i have to pay the 42 in rate if he is not able to ride the rides? RIP OFF. And they dont allow food or drinks? Waste. My son could barely ride anything besides the baby area. One slide allowed him and we didnt dare try any others. My daughter and i.. were told 1 person per tube in the wave pool.. okay great let me put her tiny body into the tube alone.. real safe. Better yet let me have water splash her in the face with no tube... we float rivers and lakes with her in my lap in a tube ... always safe. If she were bigger I would understand. THEN on the yellow baby slide... ride attendant one confirmed with me she could sit on my lap ... ride attendant two however wanted to argue. By thistime i had enough.. family slide night should be advertised for bigger kids. Waste of money 6 or mor water parks I have been to as a mom and Ive never been so angry leaving. Made the best of it with my kids but am thoroughly glad I didnt pay for a full day ...

This water park is pretty cool. Its got some very fun slides and has all different options for everyone. Lazy river, splash pad for the little ones, relaxing pool, wave pool and of course several slides of all types. The wait for the slides on my visit was hot and miss. The popular ones had about a five or more minute wait time. Im sure it couldve been worse on a extremely packed day. I rented a cabana so we had a meeting place and a way to get out of the sun. The cabanas are pretty expensive but for us a no brainier since we have two children, one being only seven months old. They offer water and table service. Two tanning chairs as well. Great buy in my opinion. The overall cost for us was pretty expensive but I know in some cities its far more expensive. My visit wasnt the best and thats not because of roaring springs. There was a crazy cold front that moved in bringing high winds and a cloud of dust with it. They ended up shutting the place down. We were only there for an hour and a half. Luckily they refunded my tickets. They pro rated my cabana but I got most of the money back. If I was on vacation longer I wouldve just taken the rain check and went back but unfortunately that couldnt happen. I feel like they treated us well and didnt give us any hassle when asking for a refund. Ill for sure go back to roaring springs then next time Im in Boise.

PLEASE READ...This was the first time Ive been to this water park. I decided to bring my kids to try it out for the first time, and honestly I have to say that I wouldnt go back there or bring my kids there again. My 3 year old daughter nearly drowned, the worst part of it all was that the lifeguard MATT just stood there and watched her struggle for a good over 5 seconds and then decides to jump in and act like he was rescuing her. I really felt so angry watching my daughter struggle. The messed up part was i stayed in the water to wait for my daughter at the bottom of the slide, but the lifeguard tells me that I have to be out of the water. We even asked him if he could be ready at the bottom of the slide to wait for her to come down because this was the first time she would go down a slide and he didnt... I could of saved my daughter from all that struggle. BUT no because that lifeguard wanted to act like he just saved my daughter. And on top of it all, the person controlling the slide pushes my daughter down the slide even though she didnt want to go. They seriously need to do something about this.. Im here at the E.R right now getting my daughter checked because she drank too much water from struggling..

My biggest gripe: Parents assuming lifeguards are babysitters. You are responsible for the life you created and took swimming. What I wanted to know before I took my toddler: The lagoon is 3ft deep. The wave pool goes from 2 ft to 6 ft and there are life vests. The kiddie area has three slides and is only 1 ft deep (barely). The "picnic area" outside of the park is six picnic tables under an aluminium roof right next to the dirt parking lot. It sucks, but not nearly as much as the food inside the park. What I want Roaring Springs to know: The kids area is showing its age. My son got a huge piece of glitter paint under his big toe on the dolphin slide. It took alot of effort to get it out as it went clear under his nail. I dont know how he did it and I dont hold the company accountable but if you can put in new slides and charge me for the new slides when I cant ride them you can spruce up the kids area. ALSO: WHOEVER THOUGHT THAT BANANA SPLIT DIPPIN DOTS WAS WORTH DOING AWAY WITH NEEDS TO BE FIRED.
